1 H ow long wilt thou forget me, O Lord ? for ever? how long wilt thou hide thy face from me?

¿Hasta cuándo, Jehová? ¿Me olvidarás para siempre? ¿Hasta cuándo esconderás de mí tu rostro?

2 H ow long shall I take counsel in my soul, having sorrow in my heart daily? how long shall mine enemy be exalted over me?

¿Hasta cuándo tendré conflictos en mi alma, con angustias en mi corazón cada día? ¿Hasta cuándo será enaltecido mi enemigo sobre mí?

3 C onsider and hear me, O Lord my God: lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death;

Mira, respóndeme, Jehová, Dios mío; alumbra mis ojos, para que no duerma de muerte,

4 L est mine enemy say, I have prevailed against him; and those that trouble me rejoice when I am moved.

para que no diga mi enemigo: «Lo vencí.» Mis enemigos se alegrarán si yo resbalo.

5 B ut I have trusted in thy mercy; my heart shall rejoice in thy salvation.

Mas yo en tu misericordia he confiado; mi corazón se alegrará en tu salvación.

6 I will sing unto the Lord, because he hath dealt bountifully with me.

Cantaré a Jehová porque me ha hecho bien.
