1 A wake, awake; put on thy strength, O Zion; put on thy beautiful garments, O Jerusalem, the holy city: for henceforth there shall no more come into thee the uncircumcised and the unclean.

¡Despierta, despierta, vístete de poder, Sión! ¡Vístete tu ropa hermosa, Jerusalén, ciudad santa, porque nunca más vendrá a ti incircunciso ni inmundo!

2 S hake thyself from the dust; arise, and sit down, O Jerusalem: loose thyself from the bands of thy neck, O captive daughter of Zion.

Sacúdete el polvo; levántate y siéntate, Jerusalén; suelta las ataduras de tu cuello, cautiva hija de Sión.

3 F or thus saith the Lord, Ye have sold yourselves for nought; and ye shall be redeemed without money.

Porque así dice Jehová: «De balde fuisteis vendidos; por tanto, sin dinero seréis rescatados.»

4 F or thus saith the Lord God, My people went down aforetime into Egypt to sojourn there; and the Assyrian oppressed them without cause.

Porque así dijo Jehová el Señor: «Mi pueblo descendió a Egipto en tiempo pasado, para morar allá, y el asirio lo cautivó sin razón.»

5 N ow therefore, what have I here, saith the Lord, that my people is taken away for nought? they that rule over them make them to howl, saith the Lord; and my name continually every day is blasphemed.

Y ahora Jehová dice: «¿Qué hago aquí, ya que mi pueblo es llevado injustamente? ¡Los que de él se enseñorean lo hacen aullar, y continuamente blasfeman contra mi nombre todo el día!», dice Jehová.

6 T herefore my people shall know my name: therefore they shall know in that day that I am he that doth speak: behold, it is I.

«Por tanto, mi pueblo conocerá mi nombre en aquel día, porque yo mismo que hablo, he aquí estaré presente.»

7 H ow beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth!

¡Cuán hermosos son sobre los montes los pies del que trae alegres nuevas, del que anuncia la paz, del que trae nuevas del bien, del que publica salvación, del que dice a Sión: «¡Tu Dios reina!»!

8 T hy watchmen shall lift up the voice; with the voice together shall they sing: for they shall see eye to eye, when the Lord shall bring again Zion.

«¡Voz de tus atalayas!» Alzarán la voz; a una voz gritarán de júbilo, porque con sus propios ojos verán que Jehová vuelve a traer a Sión.

9 B reak forth into joy, sing together, ye waste places of Jerusalem: for the Lord hath comforted his people, he hath redeemed Jerusalem.

¡Cantad alabanzas, alegraos juntas, ruinas de Jerusalén, porque Jehová ha consolado a su pueblo, ha redimido a Jerusalén!

10 T he Lord hath made bare his holy arm in the eyes of all the nations; and all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our God.

Jehová desnudó su santo brazo ante los ojos de todas las naciones, y todos los confines de la tierra verán la salvación del Dios nuestro.

11 D epart ye, depart ye, go ye out from thence, touch no unclean thing; go ye out of the midst of her; be ye clean, that bear the vessels of the Lord.

¡Apartaos, apartaos, salid de ahí, no toquéis cosa inmunda! ¡Salid de en medio de ella, purificaos los que lleváis los utensilios de Jehová!

12 F or ye shall not go out with haste, nor go by flight: for the Lord will go before you; and the God of Israel will be your reward.

Porque no saldréis apresurados ni iréis huyendo, porque Jehová irá delante de vosotros, y vuestra retaguardia será el Dios de Israel. Sufrimientos del Siervo de Jehová

13 B ehold, my servant shall deal prudently, he shall be exalted and extolled, and be very high.

He aquí que mi siervo será prosperado, será engrandecido y exaltado, será puesto muy en alto.

14 A s many were astonied at thee; his visage was so marred more than any man, and his form more than the sons of men:

Como se asombraron de ti muchos (pues de tal manera estaba desfigurada su apariencia, que su aspecto no parecía el de un ser humano),

15 S o shall he sprinkle many nations; the kings shall shut their mouths at him: for that which had not been told them shall they see; and that which they had not heard shall they consider.

así asombrará él a muchas naciones. Los reyes cerrarán ante él la boca, porque verán lo que nunca les fue contado y entenderán lo que jamás habían oído.
