29 j oined with their brethren, their nobles, and entered into a curse and into an oath, to walk in the law of God, which had been given by Moses the servant of God, and to keep and do all the commandments of Jehovah our Lord, and his ordinances and his statutes;

30 a nd that we would not give our daughters to the peoples of the land, nor take their daughters for our sons:

y que no daremos nuestras hijas a los pueblos de la tierra ni tomaremos sus hijas para nuestros hijos.

31 a nd that if the peoples of the land brought wares or any grain on the sabbath day to sell, we would not take it of them on the sabbath, or on holy day; and that we would leave the seventh year, and the exaction of every debt.

En cuanto a los pueblos de la tierra que traigan mercancías o cualquier clase de grano para vender en el día de reposo, no compraremos de ellos en día de reposo ni en día santo; y renunciaremos a las cosechas del año séptimo y a la exigencia de toda deuda.

32 A nd we made ordinances for us, to charge ourselves yearly with the third part of a shekel for the service of the house of our God,

También nos imponemos la obligación de contribuir con un tercio de un siclo al año para el servicio de la casa de nuestro Dios:

33 f or the bread to be set in rows, and for the continual oblation, and for the continual burnt-offering, of the sabbaths of the new moons, for the set feasts and for the holy, and for the sin-offerings to make an atonement for Israel, and all the work of the house of our God.

para el pan de la proposición y la ofrenda continua de cereal; para el holocausto continuo, los días de reposo, las lunas nuevas y las fiestas señaladas; para las cosas sagradas, para las ofrendas por el pecado para hacer expiación por Israel y para toda la obra de la casa de nuestro Dios.

34 A nd we cast the lots among the priests, the Levites, and the people, for the wood-offering, to bring into the house of our God, according to our fathers' houses, at times appointed year by year, to burn upon the altar of Jehovah our God, as it is written in the law;

Asimismo echamos suertes para la provisión de madera entre los sacerdotes, los levitas y el pueblo para que la traigan a la casa de nuestro Dios, conforme a nuestras casas paternas, en los tiempos fijados cada año, para quemar sobre el altar del Señor nuestro Dios, como está escrito en la ley;

35 a nd to bring the first-fruits of our land, and the first-fruits of all fruit of all trees, year by year to the house of Jehovah,

y para traer cada año los primeros frutos de nuestra tierra y los primeros frutos de todo árbol a la casa del Señor,

36 a nd the firstborn of our sons and of our cattle, as it is written in the law; and to bring the firstlings of our herds and of our flocks to the house of our God, to the priests that minister in the house of our God;

y traer a la casa de nuestro Dios los primogénitos de nuestros hijos y de nuestros ganados como está escrito en la ley; los primogénitos de nuestras vacas y de nuestras ovejas son para los sacerdotes que ministran en la casa de nuestro Dios.

37 a nd that we should bring the first-fruits of our coarse meal and our heave-offerings, and the fruit of all manner of trees, new wine and oil, to the priests, into the chambers of the house of our God, and the tithes of our ground to the Levites, that they, the Levites, should take the tithes in all the cities of our tillage.

También traeremos las primicias de nuestra harina y nuestras ofrendas del fruto de todo árbol, del mosto y del aceite para los sacerdotes a las cámaras de la casa de nuestro Dios, y el diezmo de nuestro suelo a los levitas, porque los levitas son los que reciben los diezmos en todas las ciudades donde trabajamos.

38 A nd the priest the son of Aaron shall be with the Levites, when the Levites take tithes; and the Levites shall bring up the tithe of the tithes to the house of our God, into the chambers of the treasure-house.

Y un sacerdote, hijo de Aarón, estará con los levitas cuando los levitas reciban los diezmos, y los levitas llevarán la décima parte de los diezmos a la casa de nuestro Dios, a las cámaras del almacén;

39 F or the children of Israel and the children of Levi shall bring the heave-offering of the corn, of the new wine and the oil, into the chambers, where are the vessels of the sanctuary, and the priests that minister, and the doorkeepers and the singers. And we will not forsake the house of our God.

pues los hijos de Israel y los hijos de Leví llevan la contribución del cereal, del mosto y del aceite a las cámaras; allí están los utensilios del santuario, los sacerdotes que ministran, los porteros y los cantores. Así no descuidaremos la casa de nuestro Dios.
