1 A nd Jehovah spoke to Moses saying,

Entonces el Señor habló a Moisés, diciendo:

2 S peak unto Aaron, and say unto him, When thou lightest the lamps, the seven lamps shall give light over against the candlestick.

Habla a Aarón y dile: “Cuando pongas las lámparas, las siete lámparas alumbrarán al frente del candelabro.”

3 A nd Aaron did so; he lighted the lamps thereof over against the candlestick, as Jehovah had commanded Moses.

Y así lo hizo Aarón; puso las lámparas al frente del candelabro, como el Señor había ordenado a Moisés.

4 A nd this was the work of the candlestick: of beaten gold; from its base to its flowers was it beaten work; according to the form which Jehovah had shewn Moses, so had he made the candlestick.

Y esta era la hechura del candelabro: de oro labrado a martillo; desde su base hasta sus flores fue obra labrada a martillo; según el modelo que el Señor le mostró a Moisés, así hizo el candelabro. La purificación de los levitas

5 A nd Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,

De nuevo el Señor habló a Moisés, diciendo:

6 T ake the Levites from among the children of Israel, and cleanse them.

Toma de entre los hijos de Israel a los levitas y purifícalos.

7 A nd thus shalt thou do unto them, to cleanse them: sprinkle upon them water of purification from sin; and they shall pass the razor over all their flesh, and shall wash their garments, and make themselves clean.

Así harás con ellos para su purificación: rociarás sobre ellos agua purificadora, y que ellos hagan pasar una navaja sobre todo su cuerpo, laven sus ropas y quedarán purificados.

8 A nd they shall take a young bullock and its oblation of fine flour mingled with oil; and another young bullock shalt thou take for a sin-offering.

Tomarán entonces un novillo con su ofrenda de cereal, flor de harina mezclada con aceite; y tú tomarás otro novillo como ofrenda por el pecado.

9 A nd thou shalt bring the Levites before the tent of meeting; and thou shalt gather together the whole assembly of the children of Israel.

Y harás que se acerquen los levitas delante de la tienda de reunión. Reunirás también a toda la congregación de los hijos de Israel,

10 A nd thou shalt bring the Levites before Jehovah; and the children of Israel shall put their hands upon the Levites.

y presentarás a los levitas delante del Señor; y los hijos de Israel pondrán sus manos sobre los levitas.

11 A nd Aaron shall offer the Levites as a wave-offering before Jehovah from the children of Israel, and they shall perform the service of Jehovah.

Entonces Aarón presentará a los levitas delante del Señor, como ofrenda mecida de los hijos de Israel, para que ellos puedan cumplir el ministerio del Señor.

12 A nd the Levites shall lay their hands upon the heads of the bullocks, and thou shalt offer the one for a sin-offering, and the other for a burnt-offering, to Jehovah, to make atonement for the Levites.

Los levitas pondrán sus manos sobre la cabeza de los novillos, y entonces ofrecerán uno como ofrenda por el pecado y el otro como holocausto al Señor, para hacer expiación por los levitas.

13 A nd thou shalt set the Levites before Aaron, and before his sons, and offer them as a wave-offering to Jehovah.

Harás que los levitas estén de pie delante de Aarón y delante de sus hijos, para presentarlos como ofrenda mecida al Señor.

14 A nd thou shalt separate the Levites from among the children of Israel, that the Levites may be mine.

Así separarás a los levitas de entre los hijos de Israel, y los levitas serán míos.

15 A nd afterwards shall the Levites come in to do the service of the tent of meeting. And thou shalt cleanse them, and offer them as a wave-offering.

Y después de eso, los levitas podrán entrar para ministrar en la tienda de reunión, tú los purificarás y los presentarás como ofrenda mecida;

16 F or they are wholly given unto me from among the children of Israel; instead of every one that breaketh open the womb, instead of every firstborn among the children of Israel, have I taken them unto me.

porque son enteramente dedicados para mí de entre los hijos de Israel. Los he tomado para mí en lugar de todo primer fruto de la matriz, los primogénitos de todos los hijos de Israel.

17 F or all the firstborn among the children of Israel are mine, both of man and beast; on the day that I smote every firstborn in the land of Egypt, I hallowed them to myself.

Porque míos son todos los primogénitos de entre los hijos de Israel, tanto de hombres como de animales; el día en que herí a todo primogénito en la tierra de Egipto, los santifiqué para mí.

18 A nd I have taken the Levites instead of all the firstborn among the children of Israel.

Pero he tomado a los levitas en lugar de los primogénitos de entre los hijos de Israel.

19 A nd I have given the Levites as a gift to Aaron and to his sons, from among the children of Israel, to perform the service of the children of Israel in the tent of meeting, and to make atonement for the children of Israel; that there be no plague among the children of Israel, when the children of Israel draw near to the sanctuary.

Y he dado a los levitas como un don a Aarón y a sus hijos de entre los hijos de Israel, para cumplir el ministerio de los hijos de Israel en la tienda de reunión y para hacer expiación en favor de los hijos de Israel, para que no haya plaga entre los hijos de Israel al acercarse al santuario.

20 A nd Moses and Aaron, and all the assembly of the children of Israel, did to the Levites according to all that Jehovah had commanded Moses concerning the Levites: so did the children of Israel to them.

Así hicieron a los levitas Moisés, Aarón y toda la congregación de los hijos de Israel; conforme a todo lo que el Señor había mandado a Moisés acerca de los levitas, así hicieron con ellos los hijos de Israel.

21 A nd the Levites purified themselves from sin, and they washed their garments; and Aaron offered them as a wave-offering before Jehovah; and Aaron made atonement for them to cleanse them.

Los levitas se purificaron a sí mismos de pecados, y lavaron sus ropas; y Aarón los presentó como ofrenda mecida delante del Señor. También Aarón hizo expiación por ellos para purificarlos.

22 A nd afterwards the Levites came in to perform their service in the tent of meeting before Aaron, and before his sons; as Jehovah had commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so did they to them.

Entonces, después de eso, los levitas entraron para cumplir su ministerio en la tienda de reunión delante de Aarón y delante de sus hijos; como el Señor había ordenado a Moisés acerca de los levitas, así hicieron con ellos. La jubilación de los levitas

23 A nd Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,

Y habló el Señor a Moisés, diciendo:

24 T his is that which concerneth the Levites: from twenty-five years old and upward shall he come to labour in the work of the service of the tent of meeting.

Esto es lo que se refiere a los levitas: desde los veinticinco años en adelante entrarán a cumplir el servicio en el ministerio de la tienda de reunión.

25 A nd from fifty years old he shall retire from the labour of the service, and shall serve no more;

Pero a los cincuenta años se jubilarán de ejercer el ministerio, y no trabajarán más.

26 b ut he shall minister with his brethren in the tent of meeting, and keep the charge, but he shall not serve the service. Thus shalt thou do unto the Levites with regard to their charges.

Sin embargo, pueden ayudar a sus hermanos en la tienda de reunión a cumplir sus obligaciones, pero no a ejercer el ministerio. Así harás con los levitas en cuanto a sus obligaciones.
