1 N ow this is the enumeration of the sons of Israel, the heads of fathers’ households, the commanders of thousands and of hundreds, and their officers who served the king in all the affairs of the divisions which came in and went out month by month throughout all the months of the year, each division numbering 24, 000:

2 J ashobeam the son of Zabdiel had charge of the first division for the first month; and in his division were 24, 000.

Над первым отделением, для первого месяца, Иашовам, сын Завдиила; в его отделении было двадцать четыре тысячи;

3 H e was from the sons of Perez, and was chief of all the commanders of the army for the first month.

он из сынов Фареса, главный над всеми военачальниками в первый месяц.

4 D odai the Ahohite and his division had charge of the division for the second month, Mikloth being the chief officer; and in his division were 24, 000.

Над отделением второго месяца был Додай Ахохиянин; в отделении его был и князь Миклоф, и в его отделении было двадцать четыре тысячи.

5 T he third commander of the army for the third month was Benaiah, the son of Jehoiada the priest, as chief; and in his division were 24, 000.

Третий главный военачальник, для третьего месяца, Ванея, сын Иодая, священника, и в его отделении было двадцать четыре тысячи:

6 T his Benaiah was the mighty man of the thirty, and had charge of thirty; and over his division was Ammizabad his son.

этот Ванея-- из тридцати храбрых и над ними, и в его отделе Аммизавад, сын его.

7 T he fourth for the fourth month was Asahel the brother of Joab, and Zebadiah his son after him; and in his division were 24, 000.

Четвертый, для четвертого месяца, был Асаил, брат Иоава, и по нем Завадия, сын его, и в его отделении двадцать четыре тысячи.

8 T he fifth for the fifth month was the commander Shamhuth the Izrahite; and in his division were 24, 000.

Пятый, для пятого месяца, князь Шамгуф Израхитянин, и в его отделении двадцать четыре тысячи.

9 T he sixth for the sixth month was Ira the son of Ikkesh the Tekoite; and in his division were 24, 000.

Шестой, для шестого месяца, Ира, сын Иккеша, Фекоянин, и в его отделении двадцать четыре тысячи.

10 T he seventh for the seventh month was Helez the Pelonite of the sons of Ephraim; and in his division were 24, 000.

Седьмой, для седьмого месяца, Хелец Пелонитянин, из сынов Ефремовых, и в его отделении двадцать четыре тысячи.

11 T he eighth for the eighth month was Sibbecai the Hushathite of the Zerahites; and in his division were 24, 000.

Восьмой, для восьмого месяца, Совохай Хушатянин, из племени Зары, и в его отделении двадцать четыре тысячи.

12 T he ninth for the ninth month was Abiezer the Anathothite of the Benjamites; and in his division were 24, 000.

13 T he tenth for the tenth month was Maharai the Netophathite of the Zerahites; and in his division were 24, 000.

14 T he eleventh for the eleventh month was Benaiah the Pirathonite of the sons of Ephraim; and in his division were 24, 000.

16 N ow in charge of the tribes of Israel: chief officer for the Reubenites was Eliezer the son of Zichri; for the Simeonites, Shephatiah the son of Maacah;

А над коленами Израилевыми, --у Рувимлян главным начальником Елиезер, сын Зихри; у Симеона--Сафатия, сын Маахи;

17 f or Levi, Hashabiah the son of Kemuel; for Aaron, Zadok;

у Левия--Хашавия, сын Кемуила; у Аарона--Садок;

18 f or Judah, Elihu, one of David’s brothers; for Issachar, Omri the son of Michael;

19 f or Zebulun, Ishmaiah the son of Obadiah; for Naphtali, Jeremoth the son of Azriel;

20 f or the sons of Ephraim, Hoshea the son of Azaziah; for the half-tribe of Manasseh, Joel the son of Pedaiah;

21 f or the half-tribe of Manasseh in Gilead, Iddo the son of Zechariah; for Benjamin, Jaasiel the son of Abner;

22 f or Dan, Azarel the son of Jeroham. These were the princes of the tribes of Israel.

у Дана--Азариил, сын Иерохама. Вот вожди колен Израилевых.

23 B ut David did not count those twenty years of age and under, because the Lord had said He would multiply Israel as the stars of heaven.

Давид не делал счисления тех, которые были от двадцати лет и ниже, потому что Господь сказал, что Он умножит Израиля, как звезды небесные.

24 J oab the son of Zeruiah had begun to count them, but did not finish; and because of this, wrath came upon Israel, and the number was not included in the account of the chronicles of King David. Various Overseers

Иоав, сын Саруи, начал делать счисление, но не кончил. И был за это гнев Божий на Израиля, и не вошло то счисление в летопись царя Давида.

25 N ow Azmaveth the son of Adiel had charge of the king’s storehouses. And Jonathan the son of Uzziah had charge of the storehouses in the country, in the cities, in the villages and in the towers.

Над сокровищами царскими был Азмавеф, сын Адиилов, а над запасами в поле, в городах, и в селах и в башнях--Ионафан, сын Уззии;

26 E zri the son of Chelub had charge of the agricultural workers who tilled the soil.

над занимающимися полевыми работами, земледелием--Езрий, сын Хелува;

27 S himei the Ramathite had charge of the vineyards; and Zabdi the Shiphmite had charge of the produce of the vineyards stored in the wine cellars.

над виноградниками--Шимей из Рамы, а над запасами вина в виноградниках--Завдий из Шефама;

28 B aal-hanan the Gederite had charge of the olive and sycamore trees in the Shephelah; and Joash had charge of the stores of oil.

над маслинами и смоковницами в долине--Баал-Ханан Гедеритянин, а над запасами деревянного масла--Иоас;

29 S hitrai the Sharonite had charge of the cattle which were grazing in Sharon; and Shaphat the son of Adlai had charge of the cattle in the valleys.

над крупным скотом, пасущимся в Шароне--Шитрай Шаронянин, а над скотом в долинах--Шафат, сын Адлая;

30 O bil the Ishmaelite had charge of the camels; and Jehdeiah the Meronothite had charge of the donkeys.

над верблюдами--Овил Исмаильтянин; над ослицами--Иехдия Меронифянин;

31 J aziz the Hagrite had charge of the flocks. All these were overseers of the property which belonged to King David. Counselors

над мелким скотом--Иазиз Агаритянин. Все эти были начальниками над имением, которое у царя Давида.

32 A lso Jonathan, David’s uncle, was a counselor, a man of understanding, and a scribe; and Jehiel the son of Hachmoni tutored the king’s sons.

Ионафан, дядя Давидов, советником, человек умный и писец; Иехиил, сын Хахмониев, при сыновьях царя;

33 A hithophel was counselor to the king; and Hushai the Archite was the king’s friend.

Ахитофел советником царя; Хусий Архитянин--другом царя;

34 J ehoiada the son of Benaiah, and Abiathar succeeded Ahithophel; and Joab was the commander of the king’s army.

после же Ахитофела Иодай, сын Ванеи, и Авиафар, а Иоав был военачальником у царя.
