1 T he Lord reigns, let the earth rejoice; Let the many islands be glad.

(96-1) Господь царствует: да радуется земля; да веселятся многочисленные острова.

2 C louds and thick darkness surround Him; Righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne.

(96-2) Облако и мрак окрест Его; правда и суд--основание престола Его.

3 F ire goes before Him And burns up His adversaries round about.

(96-3) Пред Ним идет огонь и вокруг попаляет врагов Его.

4 H is lightnings lit up the world; The earth saw and trembled.

(96-4) Молнии Его освещают вселенную; земля видит и трепещет.

5 T he mountains melted like wax at the presence of the Lord, At the presence of the Lord of the whole earth.

(96-5) Горы, как воск, тают от лица Господа, от лица Господа всей земли.

6 T he heavens declare His righteousness, And all the peoples have seen His glory.

(96-6) Небеса возвещают правду Его, и все народы видят славу Его.

7 L et all those be ashamed who serve graven images, Who boast themselves of idols; Worship Him, all you gods.

(96-7) Да постыдятся все служащие истуканам, хвалящиеся идолами. Поклонитесь пред Ним, все боги.

8 Z ion heard this and was glad, And the daughters of Judah have rejoiced Because of Your judgments, O Lord.

(96-8) Слышит Сион и радуется, и веселятся дщери Иудины ради судов Твоих, Господи,

9 F or You are the Lord Most High over all the earth; You are exalted far above all gods.

(96-9) ибо Ты, Господи, высок над всею землею, превознесен над всеми богами.

10 H ate evil, you who love the Lord, Who preserves the souls of His godly ones; He delivers them from the hand of the wicked.

(96-10) Любящие Господа, ненавидьте зло! Он хранит души святых Своих; из руки нечестивых избавляет их.

11 L ight is sown like seed for the righteous And gladness for the upright in heart.

(96-11) Свет сияет на праведника, и на правых сердцем--веселие.

12 B e glad in the Lord, you righteous ones, And give thanks to His holy name.

(96-12) Радуйтесь, праведные, о Господе и славьте память святыни Его.
