1 A nd Jehovah spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying,

«I figli d’Israele si accamperanno ciascuno vicino alla sua bandiera sotto le insegne delle loro famiglie paterne; si accamperanno di fronte e tutto intorno alla tenda di convegno.

3 A nd those encamping eastward toward the sun-rising the standard of the camp of Judah according to their hosts; and the prince of the sons of Judah shall be Nahshon the son of Amminadab;

Sul davanti, verso oriente, si accamperà la bandiera del campo di Giuda con le sue schiere;

4 a nd his host, even those that were numbered of them, were seventy-four thousand six hundred.

il capo dei figli di Giuda è Nason, figlio di Amminadab, e il suo contingente, secondo il censimento, è di settantaquattromilaseicento uomini.

5 A nd those that encamp next unto him shall be the tribe of Issachar; and the prince of the sons of Issachar shall be Nethaneel the son of Zuar;

Accanto a lui si accamperà la tribù di Issacar; il capo dei figli di Issacar è Netaneel, figlio di Suar,

6 a nd his host, even those that were numbered thereof, fifty-four thousand four hundred.

7 t he tribe of Zebulun; and the prince of the sons of Zebulun shall be Eliab the son of Helon;

8 a nd his host, even those that were numbered thereof, fifty-seven thousand four hundred.

9 A ll that were numbered of the camp of Judah were a hundred and eighty-six thousand four hundred, according to their hosts. They shall set forth first.

10 T he standard of the camp of Reuben shall be southward according to their hosts; and the prince of the sons of Reuben shall be Elizur the son of Shedeur;

A sud starà la bandiera del campo di Ruben con le sue schiere; il capo dei figli di Ruben è Elisur, figlio di Sedeur.

11 a nd his host, even those that were numbered thereof, forty-six thousand five hundred.

12 A nd those that encamp by him shall be the tribe of Simeon; and the prince of the sons of Simeon shall be Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai;

13 a nd his host, even those that were numbered of them, fifty-nine thousand three hundred.

14 A nd the tribe of Gad; and the prince of the sons of Gad shall be Eliasaph the son of Reuel;

Poi la tribù di Gad; il capo dei figli di Gad è Eliasaf, figlio di Reuel.

15 a nd his host, even those that were numbered of them, forty-five thousand six hundred and fifty.

16 A ll that were numbered of the camp of Reuben were a hundred and fifty-one thousand four hundred and fifty, according to their hosts. And they shall set forth second.

Il totale del censimento del campo di Ruben, sommando le loro schiere, è dunque centocinquantunmilaquattrocentocinquanta uomini. Si metteranno in marcia in seconda linea.

17 A nd the tent of meeting shall set forth, the camp of the Levites in the midst of the camps; as they encamp, so shall they set forth, every man in his place, according to their standards.

Poi si metterà in marcia la tenda di convegno con il campo dei Leviti in mezzo agli altri campi. Nella marcia seguiranno l’ordine nel quale erano accampati, ciascuno al suo posto, con la sua bandiera.

18 T he standard of the camp of Ephraim according to their hosts shall be westward; and the prince of the sons of Ephraim shall be Elishama the son of Ammihud;

A occidente starà la bandiera del campo di Efraim con il suo contingente; il capo dei figli di Efraim è Elisama, figlio di Ammiud.

19 a nd his host, even those that were numbered of them, forty thousand five hundred.

Il suo contingente, secondo il censimento, è di quarantamilacinquecento uomini.

20 A nd by him shall be the tribe of Manasseh; and the prince of the sons of Manasseh shall be Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur;

Accanto a lui si accamperà la tribù di Manasse; il capo dei figli di Manasse è Gamaliel, figlio di Pedasur.

21 a nd his host, even those that were numbered of them, thirty-two thousand two hundred.

Il suo contingente, secondo il censimento, è di trentaduemiladuecento uomini.

22 A nd the tribe of Benjamin; and the prince of the sons of Benjamin shall be Abidan the son of Gideoni;

Poi la tribù di Beniamino; il capo dei figli di Beniamino è Abidan, figlio di Ghideoni.

23 a nd his host, even those that were numbered of them, thirty-five thousand four hundred.

Il suo contingente, secondo il censimento, è di trentacinquemilaquattrocento uomini.

24 A ll that were numbered of the camp of Ephraim were a hundred and eight thousand one hundred, according to their hosts. And they shall set forth third.

Il totale del censimento del campo di Efraim, sommando le loro schiere, è dunque centottomilacento uomini. Si metteranno in marcia in terza linea.

25 T he standard of the camp of Dan shall be northward according to their hosts; and the prince of the sons of Dan shall be Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai;

A settentrione starà il campo di Dan con le sue schiere; il capo dei figli di Dan è Aiezer, figlio di Ammisaddai.

26 a nd his host, even those that were numbered of them, sixty-two thousand seven hundred.

Il suo contingente, secondo il censimento, è di sessantaduemilasettecento uomini.

27 A nd those that encamp by him shall be the tribe of Asher; and the prince of the sons of Asher shall be Pagiel the son of Ocran;

Accanto a lui si accamperà la tribù di Ascer; il capo dei figli di Ascer è Paghiel, figlio di Ocran,

28 a nd his host, even those that were numbered of them, forty-one thousand five hundred.

e il suo contingente, secondo il censimento, è di quarantunmilacinquecento uomini.

29 A nd the tribe of Naphtali; and the prince of the sons of Naphtali shall be Ahira the son of Enan;

Poi la tribù di Neftali; il capo dei figli di Neftali è Aira, figlio di Enan,

30 a nd his host, even those that were numbered of them, fifty-three thousand four hundred.

e il suo contingente, secondo il censimento, è di cinquantatremilaquattrocento uomini.

31 A ll that were numbered of the camp of Dan were a hundred and fifty-seven thousand six hundred. They shall set forth last according to their standards.

Il totale del censimento del campo di Dan è dunque centocinquantasettemilaseicento. Si metteranno in marcia per ultimi, secondo le loro bandiere».

32 T hese are those that were numbered of the children of Israel, according to their fathers' houses: all those that were numbered of the camps, according to their hosts, were six hundred and three thousand five hundred and fifty.

Questi furono i figli d’Israele dei quali si fece il censimento secondo la discendenza paterna. Tutti gli uomini dei quali si fece il censimento e che formarono i campi, ciascuno nel suo contingente, furono seicentotremilacinquecentocinquanta.

33 B ut the Levites were not numbered among the children of Israel; as Jehovah had commanded Moses.

Ma i Leviti, secondo l’ordine che il Signore aveva dato a Mosè, non furono compresi nel censimento con i figli d’Israele.

34 A nd the children of Israel did according to all that Jehovah had commanded Moses: so they encamped according to their standards, and so they journeyed, every one according to their families, according to their fathers' houses.

I figli d’Israele si conformarono in tutto agli ordini che il Signore aveva dato a Mosè: così si accampavano secondo le loro bandiere, e così si mettevano in marcia, ciascuno secondo la sua famiglia, secondo la discendenza paterna.
