1 A nd if any one sin, and hear the voice of adjuration, and he is a witness whether he hath seen or known, if he do not give information, then he shall bear his iniquity.

«“Una persona pecca se, udite le parole di giuramento, quale testimone non dichiara ciò che ha visto o ciò che sa. Porterà la propria colpa.

2 O r if any one touch any unclean thing, whether it be the carcase of an unclean beast, or the carcase of unclean cattle, or the carcase of an unclean crawling thing, and it be hid from him,—he also is unclean and guilty;

Quando uno, anche senza saperlo, avrà toccato qualcosa di impuro, come il cadavere di una bestia selvatica impura, di un animale domestico impuro o di un rettile impuro, rimarrà egli stesso impuro e colpevole.

3 o r if he touch the uncleanness of man, any uncleanness of him by which he is defiled, and it be hid from him, when he knoweth, then he is guilty.

Quando uno, anche senza saperlo, avrà toccato un’impurità umana, qualunque di quelle impurità che rendono l’uomo impuro, appena viene a saperlo, diventa colpevole.

4 O r if any one swear, talking rashly with the lips, to do evil or to do good, in everything that a man shall say rashly with an oath, and it be hid from him, when he knoweth, then is he guilty in one of these.

Quando uno giura con le labbra, parlando senza riflettere, di fare qualcosa di male o di bene, proferendo con leggerezza uno di quei giuramenti che gli uomini sono soliti pronunciare, quando viene a saperlo, è colpevole delle sue azioni.

5 A nd it shall be, when he shall be guilty in one of these, that he shall confess wherein he hath sinned;

Quando uno dunque si sarà reso colpevole di una di queste cose, confesserà il peccato che ha commesso;

6 a nd he shall bring his trespass-offering to Jehovah for his sin which he hath sinned, a female from the small cattle, a sheep or doe goat, for a sin-offering; and the priest shall make atonement for him from his sin.

porterà al Signore il sacrificio per la colpa, per il peccato che ha commesso. Porterà una femmina del gregge, una pecora o una capra, come sacrificio espiatorio e il sacerdote farà per lui l’espiazione del suo peccato.

7 A nd if his hand be not able to bring what is so much as a sheep, then he shall bring for his trespass which he hath sinned two turtle-doves or two young pigeons, to Jehovah; one for a sin-offering, and the other for a burnt-offering.

Se non ha mezzi per procurarsi una pecora, porterà al Signore, come sacrificio per la colpa, per il peccato che ha commesso, due tortore o due giovani piccioni: uno come sacrificio espiatorio, l’altro come olocausto.

8 A nd he shall bring them unto the priest, who shall present that which is for the sin-offering first, and pinch off his head at the neck, but shall not divide it;

Li porterà al sacerdote, il quale offrirà prima il sacrificio espiatorio, tagliandogli la testa vicino alla nuca, ma senza staccarla del tutto;

9 a nd he shall sprinkle of the blood of the sin-offering on the wall of the altar; and the rest of the blood shall be wrung out at the bottom of the altar: it is a sin-offering.

poi spargerà del sangue del sacrificio espiatorio sopra uno dei lati dell’altare e il resto del sangue sarà fatto colare ai piedi dell’altare. Questo è un sacrificio espiatorio.

10 A nd he shall offer the other for a burnt-offering, according to the ordinance. And the priest shall make atonement for him from his sin which he hath sinned, and it shall be forgiven him.

Dell’altro uccello farà un olocausto, secondo le norme stabilite. Così il sacerdote farà per quel tale l’espiazione del peccato che ha commesso e gli sarà perdonato.

11 B ut if his hand cannot attain to two turtle-doves, or two young pigeons, then he that sinned shall bring for his offering the tenth part of an ephah of fine flour for a sin-offering: he shall put no oil on it, neither shall he put frankincense thereon; for it is a sin-offering.

Ma se non ha mezzi per procurarsi due tortore o due giovani piccioni, porterà, come sua offerta per il peccato che ha commesso, la decima parte di un efa di fior di farina, come sacrificio espiatorio, senza mettervi sopra né olio né incenso, perché è un sacrificio espiatorio.

12 A nd he shall bring it to the priest, and the priest shall take his handful of it, the memorial thereof, and burn it on the altar, with Jehovah's offerings by fire: it is a sin-offering.

Porterà la farina al sacerdote; il sacerdote ne prenderà una manciata piena come ricordo e la farà fumare sull’altare sopra i sacrifici consumati dal fuoco per il Signore. È un sacrificio espiatorio.

13 A nd the priest shall make atonement for him concerning his sin which he hath sinned in one of these, and it shall be forgiven him; and it shall be the priest's, as the oblation.

Così il sacerdote farà per quel tale l’espiazione del peccato, che quello ha commesso in uno di quei casi, e gli sarà perdonato. Il resto della farina sarà per il sacerdote, come si fa nell’oblazione”».

14 A nd Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,

Il Signore parlò ancora a Mosè e disse:

15 I f any one act unfaithfully and sin through inadvertence in the holy things of Jehovah, then he shall bring his trespass-offering to Jehovah, a ram without blemish out of the small cattle, according to thy valuation by shekels of silver, according to the shekel of the sanctuary, for a trespass-offering.

«Quando qualcuno commetterà un’infedeltà e peccherà involontariamente riguardo a ciò che dev’essere consacrato al Signore, porterà al Signore, come sacrificio per la colpa, un montone senza difetto, preso dal gregge, in base alla tua valutazione in sicli d’argento secondo il siclo del santuario, come sacrificio per la colpa.

16 A nd he shall make restitution for the wrong that he hath done in the holy things, and shall add the fifth part thereto, and shall give it unto the priest; and the priest shall make atonement for him with the ram of the trespass-offering, and it shall be forgiven him.

Risarcirà il danno fatto al santuario, aggiungendovi un quinto in più, e lo darà al sacerdote. Il sacerdote farà per lui l’espiazione con il montone offerto come sacrificio per la colpa e gli sarà perdonato.

17 A nd if any one sin and do against any of all the commandments of Jehovah what should not be done, and hath not known, yet is he guilty, and shall bear his iniquity.

Quando uno peccherà facendo, senza saperlo, qualcuna delle cose che il Signore ha vietato di fare, sarà colpevole e porterà la pena della sua iniquità.

18 A nd he shall bring a ram without blemish out of the small cattle, according to thy valuation, as trespass-offering, unto the priest; and the priest shall make atonement for him concerning his inadvertence wherein he sinned inadvertently, and knew not, and it shall be forgiven him.

Presenterà al sacerdote, come sacrificio per la colpa, un montone senza difetto, scelto dal gregge, in base alla tua valutazione. Il sacerdote farà per lui l’espiazione dell’errore commesso per ignoranza e gli sarà perdonato.

19 I t is a trespass-offering: he hath certainly trespassed against Jehovah.

Questo è un sacrificio per la colpa; quel tale si è realmente reso colpevole verso il Signore ».
