1 B lessed is everyone who fears Yahweh, who walks in his ways.

(O cîntare a treptelor.) Ferice de oricine se teme de Domnul, şi umblă pe căile Lui!

2 F or you will eat the labor of your hands. You will be happy, and it will be well with you.

Căci atunci te bucuri de lucrul mînilor tale, eşti fericit, şi-ţi merge bine.

3 Y our wife will be as a fruitful vine, in the innermost parts of your house; your children like olive plants, around your table.

Nevastă-ta este ca o viţă roditoare înlăuntrul casei tale; copiii tăi stau ca nişte lăstari de măslin împrejurul mesei tale.

4 B ehold, thus is the man blessed who fears Yahweh.

Aşa este binecuvîntat omul care se teme de Domnul.

5 M ay Yahweh bless you out of Zion, and may you see the good of Jerusalem all the days of your life.

Să te binecuvînteze Domnul din Sion, să vezi fericirea Ierusalimului, în toate zilele vieţii tale,

6 Y es, may you see your children’s children. Peace be upon Israel.

şi să vezi pe copiii copiilor tăi! Pacea să fie peste Israel!
