1 A doua parte a căzut prin sorţi lui Simeon, seminţiei fiilor lui Simeon, după familiile lor. Moştenirea lor era în mijlocul moştenirii fiilor lui Iuda.

And the second lot came forth to Simeon, for the tribe of the children of Simeon according to their families; and their inheritance was within the inheritance of the children of Judah.

And they had in their inheritance Beer-sheba, and Sheba, and Moladah,

3 H aţar-Şual, Bala, Aţem,

and Hazar-Shual, and Balah, and Ezem,

4 E ltolad, Betul, Horma,

and Eltolad, and Bethul, and Hormah,

5 Ţ iclag, Bet-Marcabot, Haţar-Susa,

and Ziklag, and Beth-marcaboth, and Hazar-susah,

6 B et-Lebaot, şi Şaruhen, treisprezece cetăţi şi satele lor;

and Beth-lebaoth, and Sharuhen: thirteen cities and their hamlets;

7 A in, Rimon, Eter, şi Aşan, patru cetăţi, şi satele lor;

Ain, Rimmon, and Ether, and Ashan: four cities and their hamlets;

8 ş i toate satele din împrejurimile acestor cetăţi, pînă la Baalat-Beer, care este Ramatul de miazăzi, Aceasta a fost moştenirea seminţiei fiilor lui Simeon, după familiile lor.

and all the hamlets that are round these cities to Baalath-beer, Ramah of the south. This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Simeon according to their families.

9 M oştenirea fiilor lui Simeon a fost luată din partea de moştenire a fiilor lui Iuda; căci partea fiilor lui Iuda era prea mare pentru ei, şi de aceea fiii lui Simeon şi-au primit pe a lor în mijlocul moştenirii lor.

Out of the lot of the children of Judah was the inheritance of the children of Simeon; for the portion of the children of Judah was too great for them, and the children of Simeon inherited within their inheritance.

10 A treia parte a căzut prin sorţi fiilor lui Zabulon după familiile lor.

And the third lot came up for the children of Zebulun according to their families. And the border of their inheritance was unto Sarid;

11 H otarul moştenirii lor se întindea pînă la Sarid. La apus se suia spre Mareala, şi atingea Dabeşet, apoi pîrîul care curge înaintea Iocneamului.

and their border went up westwards, and Marealah, and reached to Dabbesheth, and reached to the torrent that is before Jokneam;

12 D in Sarid se întorcea spre răsărit, spre răsăritul soarelui, pînă la hotarul Chislot-Taborului, mergea înainte la Dabrat, şi suia la Iafia.

and turned from Sarid eastward, toward the sun-rising, to the border of Chisloth-Tabor, and went out to Dabrath, and went up to Japhia;

13 D e acolo trecea la răsărit prin Ghita-Hefer, prin Ita-Caţin, mergea la Rimon, şi se întorcea pînă la Nea.

and from thence it passed eastward toward the sun-rising to Gath-Hepher, to Eth-kazin, and went out to Rimmon which reaches to Neah;

14 S e întorcea apoi înspre miazănoapte spre Hanaton, şi ieşea la valea Iiftah-El.

and the border turned round it northwards to Hannathon: and ended in the valley of Jiphthah-el; …

15 C oprindea Catat, Nahalal, Şimron, Iideala, Betleem: douăsprezece cetăţi, şi satele lor.

and Kattath, and Nahalal, and Shimron, and Jidalah, and Beth-lehem: twelve cities and their hamlets.

16 A ceasta a fost moştenirea fiilor lui Zabulon, după familiile lor, cetăţile acestea şi satele lor.

This was the inheritance of the children of Zebulun according to their families, these cities and their hamlets.

17 A patra parte a căzut prin sorţi lui Isahar, fiilor lui Isahar, după familiile lor.

The fourth lot came forth to Issachar, for the children of Issachar according to their families.

18 H otarul lor trecea prin Izreel, Chesulot, Sunem,

And their territory was toward Jizreel, and Chesulloth, and Shunem,

19 H afaraim, Şion, Anaharat,

and Hapharaim, and Shion, and Anaharath,

20 R abit, Chişion, Abeţ,

and Rabbith, and Kishion, and Ebez,

21 R emet, En-Ganim, En-Hada, şi Bet-Paţeţ;

and Remeth, and En-gannim, and En-haddah, and Beth-pazzez;

22 a tingea Taborul, Şahaţima, Bet-Şemeş, şi ieşea la Iordan: şasesprezece cetăţi, şi satele lor.

and the border reached to Tabor, and Shahazimah, and Beth-shemesh; and their border ended at the Jordan: sixteen cities and their hamlets.

23 A ceasta a fost moştenirea seminţiei fiilor lui Isahar, după familiile lor, cetăţile acestea şi satele lor.

This was the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Issachar according to their families, the cities and their hamlets.

24 A cincea parte a căzut prin sorţi seminţiei fiilor lui Aşer, după familiile lor.

And the fifth lot came forth for the tribe of the children of Asher according to their families.

25 H otarul lor trecea prin Helcat, Hali, Beten, Acşaf,

And their territory was Helkath, and Hali, and Beten, and Acshaph,

26 A lamelec, Amead şi Mişeal; atingea, spre apus, Carmelul şi Şihor-Libnat;

and Allammelech, and Amead, and Mishal; and reached to Carmel westwards, and to Shihor-libnath,

27 a poi se întorcea în spre răsărit la Bet-Dagon, se atingea de Zabulon şi de valea Iiftah-El la miazănoapte de Bet-Emec şi Neiel, şi se întindea spre Cabul, la stînga,

and turned towards the sun-rising to Beth-Dagon, and reached to Zebulun, and to the valley of Jiphthah-el northward Beth-emek and Neiel, and went out to Cabul on the left,

28 ş i spre Ebron, Rehob, Hamon şi Cana, pînă la Sidonul cel mare.

and Ebron, and Rehob, and Hammon, and Kanah, as far as great Zidon;

29 S e întorcea apoi spre Rama pînă la cetatea cea tare a Tirului, şi spre Hosa, şi ieşea la mare, prin ţinutul Aczib.

and the border turned to Ramah, and as far as the fortified city of Tyre; and the border turned to Hosah; and ended at the sea by the tract of country of Achzib;

30 C uprindea: Uma, Afec şi Rehob; douăzeci şi două de cetăţi, şi satele lor.

and Ummah, and Aphek, and Rehob: twenty-two cities and their hamlets.

31 A ceasta a fost moştenirea seminţiei fiilor lui Aşer, după familiile lor, cetăţile acestea şi satele lor.

This was the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Asher according to their families, these cities and their hamlets.

32 A şasea parte a căzut prin sorţi fiilor lui Neftali, după familiile lor.

The sixth lot came forth to the children of Naphtali, for the children of Naphtali according to their families.

33 H otarul lor se întindea dela Helef, dela Alon, prin Ţaananim, Adami-Necheb şi Iabneel, pînă la Lacum, şi ieşea la Iordan.

And their border was from Heleph, from the oak of Zaanannim; and Adami-nekeb and Jabneel to Lakkum; and ended at the Jordan;

34 S e întorcea spre apus la Aznot-Tabor, şi de acolo mergea înainte la Hucoc; se atingea de Zabulon, în spre miazăzi, de Aşer în spre apus, şi de Iuda; în spre răsărit era Iordanul.

and the border turned westwards to Aznoth-Tabor, and went out from thence to Hukkok, and reached to Zebulun on the south, and reached to Asher on the west, and to Judah upon Jordan towards the sun-rising.

35 C etăţile tari erau: Ţidim, Ţer, Hamat, Racat, Chineret,

And the fortified cities were Ziddim, Zer, and Hammath, Rakkath, and Chinnereth,

36 A dama, Rama, Haţor,

and Adamah, and Ramah, and Hazor,

37 C hedeş, Edrei, En-Haţor,

and Kedesh, and Edrei, and En-Hazor,

38 I ireon, Migdal-El, Horem, Bet-Anat şi Bet-Şemeş: nouăsprezece cetăţi, şi satele lor.

and Jiron, and Migdal-el, Horem, and Beth-anath, and Beth-shemesh: nineteen cities and their hamlets.

39 A ceasta a fost moştenirea seminţiei fiilor lui Neftali, după familiile lor, cetăţile acestea şi satele lor.

This was the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Naphtali according to their families, the cities and their hamlets.

40 A şaptea parte a căzut prin sorţi seminţiei fiilor lui Dan, după familiile lor.

The seventh lot came forth for the tribe of the children of Dan according to their families.

41 H otarul moştenirii lor era Ţorea, Eştaol, Ir-Şemeş,

And the territory of their inheritance was Zoreah, and Eshtaol, and Ir-shemesh,

42 Ş aalabin, Aialon, Iitla,

and Shaalabbin, and Ajalon, and Jithlah,

43 E lon, Timnata, Ecron,

and Elon, and Timnathah, and Ekron,

44 E lteche, Ghibeton, Baalat,

and El-tekeh, and Gibbethon, and Baalath,

45 I ehud, Bene-Berac, Gat-Rimon,

and Jehud, and Beneberak, and Gath-Rimmon,

46 M e-Iarcon şi Racon, cu hotarul care este faţă în faţă cu Iafo.

and Me-jarkon, and Rakkon, with the border over against Japho.

47 Ţ inutul fiilor lui Dan se întindea şi în afară de acestea. Fiii lui Dan s'au suit şi s'au luptat împotriva lui Leşem; au pus mîna pe el şi l-au trecut prin ascuţişul săbiei; au pus stăpînire pe el, s'au aşezat în el şi l-au numit Dan, după numele tatălui lor Dan.

And the border of the children of Dan ended with these; and the children of Dan went up and fought against Leshem, and took it, and smote it with the edge of the sword, and took possession of it, and dwelt in it, and called Leshem, Dan, after the name of Dan their father.

48 A ceasta a fost moştenirea seminţiei fiilor lui Dan, după familiile lor, cetăţile acestea şi satele lor.

This was the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Dan according to their families, these cities and their hamlets.

49 D upăce au isprăvit de împărţit ţara, după hotarele ei, copiii lui Israel au dat lui Iosua, fiul lui Nun, o moştenire în mijlocul lor.

And they ended dividing the land for inheritance according to its borders. And the children of Israel gave an inheritance to Joshua the son of Nun among them.

50 D upă porunca Domnului, i-au dat cetatea pe care o cerea el: Timnat-Serah, în muntele lui Efraim. El a zidit cetatea din nou, şi şi -a aşezat locuinţa acolo.

According to the word of Jehovah they gave him the city that he asked, Timnath-serah in the hill-country of Ephraim; and he built the city, and dwelt in it.

51 A cestea sînt moştenirile pe cari le-au împărţit preotul Eleazar, Iosua, fiul lui Nun, şi căpeteniile de familie ale seminţiilor copiilor lui Israel, prin sorţi înaintea Domnului, la Silo, la uşa cortului întîlnirii. Astfel au isprăvit ei împărţirea ţării.

These were the inheritances, which Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun, and the chief fathers of the tribes of the children of Israel, distributed by lot in Shiloh before Jehovah, at the entrance of the tent of meeting. And they ended dividing the land.
