1 I ubesc pe Domnul, căci El aude glasul meu, cererile mele.

I love Jehovah, for he hath heard my voice my supplications;

2 D a, El Şi -a plecat urechea spre mine, de aceea -L voi chema toată viaţa mea.

For he hath inclined his ear unto me, and I will call upon him during my days.

3 M ă înfăşuraseră legăturile morţii, şi m'apucaseră sudorile mormîntului; eram pradă necazului şi durerii.

The bands of death encompassed me, and the anguish of Sheol took hold of me; I found trouble and sorrow:

4 D ar am chemat Numele Domnului, şi am zis:,, Doamne, mîntuieşte-mi sufletul.``

Then called I upon the name of Jehovah: I beseech thee, Jehovah, deliver my soul.

5 D omnul este milostiv şi drept, şi Dumnezeul nostru este plin de îndurare.

Gracious is Jehovah and righteous; and our God is merciful.

6 D omnul păzeşte pe cei fără răutate: eram nenorocit de tot, dar El m'a mîntuit.

Jehovah keepeth the simple: I was brought low, and he saved me.

7 Î ntoarce-te, suflete, la odihna ta, căci Domnul ţi -a făcut bine.

Return unto thy rest, O my soul; for Jehovah hath dealt bountifully with thee.

8 D a, Tu mi-ai izbăvit sufletul dela moarte, ochii din lacrămi, şi picioarele de cădere.

For thou hast delivered my soul from death, mine eyes from tears, my feet from falling.

9 V oi umbla înaintea Domnului, pe pămîntul celor vii.

I will walk before Jehovah in the land of the living.

10 A veam dreptate cînd ziceam:,, Sînt foarte nenorocit!``

I believed, therefore have I spoken. As for me, I was greatly afflicted.

11 Î n neliniştea mea, ziceam:,, Orice om este înşelător.``

I said in my haste, All men are liars.

12 C um voi răsplăti Domnului toate binefacerile Lui faţă de mine?

What shall I render unto Jehovah, all his benefits toward me?

13 V oi înălţa paharul izbăvirilor, şi voi chema Numele Domnului;

I will take the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of Jehovah.

14 î mi voi împlini juruinţele făcute Domnului, în faţa întregului Său popor.

I will perform my vows unto Jehovah, yea, before all his people.

15 S cumpă este înaintea Domnului moartea celor iubiţi de El.

Precious in the sight of Jehovah is the death of his saints.

16 A scultă-mă, Doamne, căci sînt robul Tău: robul Tău, fiul roabei Tale, şi Tu mi-ai desfăcut legăturile.

Yea, Jehovah! for I am thy servant; I am thy servant, the son of thy handmaid: thou hast loosed my bonds.

17 Î ţi voi aduce o jertfă de mulţămire, şi voi chema Numele Domnului;

I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the name of Jehovah.

18 î mi voi împlini juruinţele făcute Domnului în faţa întregului Său popor,

I will perform my vows unto Jehovah, yea, before all his people,

19 î n curţile Casei Domnului, în mijlocul tău, Ierusalime! Lăudaţi pe Domnul!

In the courts of Jehovah's house, in the midst of thee, O Jerusalem. Hallelujah!
