1 Ч уйте това, свещеници, Внимавайте, доме Израилев, И дайте ухо, доме царев; Защото има присъда против вас; Понеже станахте< като> примка в Масфа, И, <като> мрежа простряна върху Тавор.

Hear this, O you priests! And listen, O house of Israel! And give ear, O house of the king! For the judgment pronounced pertains to you and is meant for you, because you have been a snare at Mizpah and a net spread upon Tabor.

2 Б унтовниците дълбоко потънаха в разврат; Но Аз ги изобличавам всички.

The revolters are deeply sunk in corruption and slaughter, but I am a rebuke and a chastisement for them all.

3 А з познавам Ефрема, И Израил не е скрит от Мене; Защото <и> сега блудствуваш Ефреме, И Израил е осквернен.

I know Ephraim, and Israel is not hid from Me; for now, O Ephraim, you have played the harlot and have worshiped idols; Israel is defiled.

4 Д елата им не ги оставят да се върнат при своя Бог; Защото блуднически дух има дълбоко в тях, И те не познават Господа.

Their doings will not permit them to return to their God, for the spirit of harlotry is within them and they know not the Lord.

5 Г ордостта на Израиля свидетелствува пред лицето му; Затова Израил и Ефрем ще се препъват чрез беззаконието си, И Юда ще се препъва с тях.

But the pride and self-reliance of Israel testifies before his face. Therefore shall Israel, and Ephraim, totter and fall in their iniquity and guilt, and Judah shall stumble and fall with them.

6 С ъс стадата си и с чердите си Ще отидат да търсят Господа; Но няма да Го намерят; Той се е оттеглил от тях.

They shall go with their flocks and with their herds to seek the Lord, but they will not find Him; He has withdrawn Himself from them.

7 Т е се отнесоха коварно към Господа, Защото родиха чада от чужденки; Сега, до новолуние, ще бъдат погълнати те и наследствата им,

They have dealt faithlessly and treacherously with the Lord, for they have borne alien children. Now shall a New Moon (one month) devour them with their fields.

8 З атръбете с рог в Гавая, С тръба в Рама; Дайте тревога във Вет-авен - След тебе, Вениамине!

Blow the horn in Gibeah and the trumpet in Ramah. Sound the alarm at Beth-aven: behind you and after you, O Benjamin!

9 Е фрем ще запустее в деня, когато бъде изобличен; Обявих между Израилевите племена онова, което непременно ще стане, <сиреч, че>

Ephraim shall become a desolation in the day of rebuke and punishment. Among the tribes of Israel I declare what shall surely be.

10 П онеже Юдовите първенци станаха като ония, които преместват межди, Затова ще излея гнева Си върху тях.

The princes of Judah are like those who remove the landmark; I will pour out My wrath upon them like water.

11 Е фрем е насилван, поразен е в съдбата, Защото помисли за добре да следва суетните <идоли>;

Ephraim is oppressed; he is broken and crushed by judgment, because he was content to walk after idols (images) and man’s command ( vanities and filth ).

12 И Аз бях като молец на Ефрема, И като червей на Юдовия дом.

Therefore I am like a moth to Ephraim and like dry rot to the house of Judah.

13 К огато Ефрем видя, че боледува, И Юда <видя> раната си, Ефрем отиде при асириеца И <Юда> прати до цар Ярива; Но той не може да ви изцели, Нито да излекува раната ви.

When Ephraim saw his sickness and Judah saw his wound, then Ephraim went to Assyria and sent to great King Jareb. Yet he cannot heal you nor will he cure you of your wound.

14 З ащото Аз ще бъда като лъв на Ефрема, И като млад лъв на Юдовия дом; Аз, да! Аз ще разкъсам и ще си отида; Ще отнеса и не ще има кой да отърве.

For I will be to Ephraim like a lion, and like a young lion to the house of Judah. I, even I, will rend and go on; I will carry off and there will be no one to deliver.

15 Щ е си отида, ще се върна на мястото Си, Догдето признаят грешката си и потърсят лицето Ми; В скръбта си ще Ме търсят усърдно <казвайки>:

I will return to My place until they acknowledge their offense and feel their guilt and seek My face; in their affliction and distress they will seek, inquire for, and require Me earnestly, saying,
