1 ¶ Then Eliphaz, the Temanite, answered and said,
Markaasaa Eliifas kii reer Teemaan u jawaabay, oo wuxuu ku yidhi,
2 I f we attempt to commune with thee, thou wilt be grieved. But who can withhold himself from speaking?
Mid hadduu isku dayo inuu kula hadlo, ma ka xumaanaysaa? Laakiinse bal yaa hadal iska celin kara?
3 B ehold, thou hast instructed many, and thou hast strengthened the weak hands.
Bal eeg, adigu kuwa badan wax baad bartay, Oo gacmihii itaalka darnaana waad xoogaysay.
4 T hy words have upheld the one that was falling, and thou hast strengthened the feeble knees.
Erayadaadu way tiiriyeen kii sii dhacayay, Oo jilbihii tabarta yaraana waad adkaysay.
5 B ut now that it is come upon thee, thou art grieved; it touches thee, and thou art troubled.
Laakiinse haatan dhibaatadu aday kuu timid, oo waad taag yaraanaysaa, Wayna ku soo gaadhay, oo waad dhibaataysan tahay.
6 I s not this thy fear, thy confidence, thy hope, and the integrity of thy ways?
War kalsoonidaadu sow ma aha cabsida aad Ilaahaaga ka cabsato, Rajadaaduse sow ma aha daacadnimada jidadkaaga?
7 ¶ Remember, I pray thee, who ever perished, being innocent? Or where were the righteous cut off?
Waan ku baryayaaye bal wax xusuuso, bal yaa weligiis halligmay isagoo aan xaq qabin? Amase xaggee baa mid qumman lagu halaagay?
8 E ven as I have seen, those that plow iniquity and sow wickedness, reap the same.
Sidaan anigu arkay, weligoodba kuwii xumaan tacbadaa, Oo belaayo beertaa, isla waxaasay goostaan.
9 B y the breath of God they perish, and by the spirit of his anger they are consumed.
Iyagu waxay ku baabba'aan Ilaah neeftiisa, Oo waxay ku dhammaadaan afuufidda cadhadiisa.
10 T he roaring of the lion and the voice of the fierce lion and the teeth of the young lions, are broken.
Libaaxa cidiisii, iyo aarka cadhaysan codkiisii, Iyo libaaxyada yaryar miciyahoodiiba waa jajabaan.
11 T he old lion perishes for lack of prey, and the stout lion’s whelps are scattered abroad.
Libaaxa duqa ahu ugaadhla'aanta buu u bakhtiyaa, Oo goosha dhasheediina way kala firdhaan.
12 ¶ Now the matter was also hidden from me, but my ear has perceived a little of it.
Haddaba war baa qarsoodi la iigu keenay, Oo dhegtayduna faqiisay qabsatay.
13 I n imaginations of visions of the night, when deep sleep falls upon men,
Habeenkii markay riyooyinku fikirro kiciyaan, Oo ay dadku hurdo weyn ku fogaadaan,
14 f ear came upon me and trembling, which made all my bones to shake.
Ayaa cabsi iyo gariiru igu dhacay, Oo lafahayga oo dhammuna way wada ruxruxmadeen.
15 T hen a spirit passed before me which caused the hair of my flesh to stand up.
Markaasaa ruux wejigayga soo hor maray, Oo timihii jidhkayguna waa soo wada istaageen.
16 A ghost stood in front of me, whose face I did not recognize, and I heard it say,
Oo isagii wuu joogsaday, laakiinse muuqashadiisii waan kala saari waayay; Muuqaal baa indhahayga hortooda joogay; Intii mudda ah aamusnaan baa jirtay, dabadeedna waxaan maqlay cod leh,
17 S hall mortal man be more just than God? Shall a man be more pure than his maker?
War nin dhiman karaa miyuu Ilaah ka sii caaddilsanaan karaa? Mase nin baa ka sii daahirsanaan kara kii isaga abuuray?
18 B ehold, he put no trust in his slaves, and his angels he charged with folly.
Bal eeg, isagu addoommadiisa iskuma halleeyo; Oo malaa'igihiisana nacasnimuu ku eedeeyaa.
19 H ow much more with those that dwell in houses of clay, whose foundation is in the dust, who shall be crushed by the moth!
Intee ka sii badan buu eedeeyaa kuwa guryaha dhoobada ah deggan, Oo aasaaskoodii boodhka ku jiro, Oo sida balanbaallis u burbura!
20 T hey are destroyed from morning to evening; they perish for ever without anyone regarding it.
Subaxdii iyo fiidkii inta ka dhex leh ayay baabba'aan; Weligoodba way halligmaan iyadoo aan ciduna ka fikirayn.
21 D oes their beauty perish with them? They die and do not know.
Xadhkaha teendhooyinkoodii sow lama siibo? Way dhintaan iyagoo aan xigmad lahayn.
