1 E l rey Salomón fue, pues, rey sobre todo Israel.

And king Solomon was king over all Israel.

2 Y estos eran sus oficiales: Azarías, hijo de Sadoc, era el sacerdote;

And these were the princes whom he had: Azariah the son of Zadok, the priest;

3 E lihoref y Ahías, hijos de Sisa, eran secretarios; Josafat, hijo de Ahilud, era el cronista;

Elihoreph and Ahijah, the sons of Shisha, scribes; Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud, the recorder;

4 B enaía, hijo de Joiada, estaba sobre el ejército; y Sadoc y Abiatar eran sacerdotes;

and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the host; and Zadok and Abiathar were priests;

5 A zarías, hijo de Natán, estaba sobre los oficiales; y Zabud, hijo de Natán, un sacerdote, era amigo del rey;

and Azariah the son of Nathan was over the officers; and Zabud the son of Nathan was chief minister, and the king's friend;

6 A hisar, era el mayordomo; y Adoniram, hijo de Abda, estaba sobre los hombres sujetos a trabajos forzados.

and Ahishar was over the household; and Adoniram the son of Abda was over the men subject to taskwork.

7 S alomón tenía doce oficiales sobre todo Israel, los cuales abastecían al rey y a su casa. Cada uno tenía que hacerlo un mes en el año.

And Solomon had twelve officers over all Israel, who provided victuals for the king and his household: each man had to make provision for a month in the year.

8 Y estos son sus nombres: Ben -hur, en la región montañosa de Efraín;

And these are their names: Ben-hur, in the hill-country of Ephraim;

9 B en-decar en Macaz, en Saalbim, en Bet-semes y en Elón-bet-hanán;

Ben-deker, in Makaz, and in Shaalbim, and Beth-shemesh, and Elon-beth-hanan;

10 B en-hesed en Arubot (de él eran Soco y toda la tierra de Hefer );

Ben-hesed, in Arubboth (to him pertained Socoh, and all the land of Hepher);

11 B en-abinadab, en toda la altura de Dor (Tafat, hija de Salomón, era su mujer);

Ben-abinadab, in all the height of Dor (he had Taphath the daughter of Solomon to wife);

12 B aana, hijo de Ahilud, en Taanac y Meguido y todo Bet-seán, que está junto a Saretán, más abajo de Jezreel, desde Bet-seán hasta Abel-mehola, hasta el otro lado de Jocmeam;

Baana the son of Ahilud, in Taanach and Megiddo, and all Beth-shean which is beside Zarethan, beneath Jezreel, from Beth-shean to Abel-meholah, as far as beyond Jokmeam;

13 B en-geber en Ramot de Galaad (las aldeas de Jair, hijo de Manasés, que están en Galaad eran de él: la región de Argob que está en Basán, sesenta grandes ciudades con muros y cerrojos de bronce eran de él);

Ben-geber, in Ramoth-gilead (to him pertained the towns of Jair the son of Manasseh, which are in Gilead; even to him pertained the region of Argob, which is in Bashan, threescore great cities with walls and brazen bars);

14 A hinadab, hijo de Iddo, en Mahanaim;

Ahinadab the son of Iddo, in Mahanaim;

15 A himaas en Neftalí (también se casó con Basemat, hija de Salomón);

Ahimaaz, in Naphtali (he also took Basemath the daughter of Solomon to wife);

16 B aana, hijo de Husai, en Aser y Bealot;

Baana the son of Hushai, in Asher and Bealoth;

17 J osafat, hijo de Parúa, en Isacar;

Jehoshaphat the son of Paruah, in Issachar;

18 S imei, hijo de Ela, en Benjamín;

Shimei the son of Ela, in Benjamin;

19 G eber, hijo de Uri, en la tierra de Galaad, la región de Sehón, rey de los amorreos, y de Og, rey de Basán; él era el único gobernador que estaba en aquella tierra.

Geber the son of Uri, in the land of Gilead, the country of Sihon king of the Amorites and of Og king of Bashan; and he was the only officer that was in the land.

20 J udá e Israel eran tan numerosos como la arena que está en abundancia a la orilla del mar; comían, bebían y se alegraban. Poder, riqueza y sabiduría de Salomón

Judah and Israel were many as the sand which is by the sea in multitude, eating and drinking and making merry.

21 S alomón gobernaba todos los reinos desde el Río hasta la tierra de los filisteos y hasta la frontera de Egipto; ellos trajeron tributo y sirvieron a Salomón todos los días de su vida.

And Solomon ruled over all the kingdoms from the River unto the land of the Philistines, and unto the border of Egypt: they brought tribute, and served Solomon all the days of his life.

22 L a provisión de Salomón para un día era de treinta coros de flor de harina y sesenta coros de harina,

And Solomon's provision for one day was thirty measures of fine flour, and threescore measures of meal,

23 d iez bueyes cebados, veinte bueyes de pasto y cien ovejas, sin contar los ciervos, gacelas, corzos y aves cebadas.

ten fat oxen, and twenty oxen out of the pastures, and a hundred sheep, besides harts, and gazelles, and roebucks, and fatted fowl.

24 P orque él tenía señorío sobre todo el occidente del Río, desde Tifsa hasta Gaza, sobre todos los reyes al occidente del Río; y tuvo paz por todos lados a su alrededor.

For he had dominion over all the region on this side the River, from Tiphsah even to Gaza, over all the kings on this side the River: and he had peace on all sides round about him.

25 Y Judá e Israel vivieron seguros, cada uno bajo su parra y bajo su higuera, desde Dan hasta Beerseba, todos los días de Salomón.

And Judah and Israel dwelt safely, every man under his vine and under his fig-tree, from Dan even to Beer-sheba, all the days of Solomon.

26 S alomón tenía cuarenta mil establos de caballos para sus carros y doce mil jinetes.

And Solomon had forty thousand stalls of horses for his chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen.

27 Y los gobernadores abastecían, cada uno un mes, al rey Salomón y a todos los que venían a la mesa del rey Salomón; no dejaban que faltara nada.

And those officers provided victuals for king Solomon, and for all that came unto king Solomon's table, every man in his month; they let nothing be lacking.

28 T ambién llevaban, cada uno según su obligación, cebada y paja para los caballos de tiro y los corceles al lugar donde debieran estar.

Barley also and straw for the horses and swift steeds brought they unto the place where the officers were, every man according to his charge.

29 D ios dio a Salomón sabiduría, gran discernimiento y amplitud de corazón como la arena que está a la orilla del mar.

And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea-shore.

30 Y la sabiduría de Salomón sobrepasó la sabiduría de todos los hijos del oriente y toda la sabiduría de Egipto.

And Solomon's wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the children of the east, and all the wisdom of Egypt.

31 P orque era más sabio que todos los hombres, más que Etán ezraíta, Hemán, Calcol y Darda, hijos de Mahol; y su fama fue conocida por todas las naciones de alrededor.

For he was wiser than all men; than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, and Calcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol: and his fame was in all the nations round about.

32 T ambién pronunció tres mil proverbios, y sus cantares fueron mil cinco.

And he spake three thousand proverbs; and his songs were a thousand and five.

33 D isertó sobre los árboles, desde el cedro que está en el Líbano hasta el hisopo que crece en la pared; también habló de ganados, aves, reptiles y peces.

And he spake of trees, from the cedar that is in Lebanon even unto the hyssop that springeth out of the wall; he spake also of beasts, and of birds, and of creeping things, and of fishes.

34 Y venían de todos los pueblos para oír la sabiduría de Salomón, de parte de todos los reyes de la tierra que habían oído de su sabiduría.

And there came of all peoples to hear the wisdom of Solomon, from all kings of the earth, who had heard of his wisdom.
