1 E ntonces respondió Bildad suhita, y dijo:

Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said,

2 D ominio y pavor pertenecen al que establece la paz en sus alturas.

Dominion and fear are with him; He maketh peace in his high places.

3 ¿ Tienen número sus ejércitos ? ¿Y sobre quién no se levanta su luz?

Is there any number of his armies? And upon whom doth not his light arise?

4 ¿ Cómo puede un hombre, pues, ser justo con Dios ? ¿O cómo puede ser limpio el que nace de mujer ?

How then can man be just with God? Or how can he be clean that is born of a woman?

5 S i aun la luna no tiene brillo y las estrellas no son puras a sus ojos,

Behold, even the moon hath no brightness, And the stars are not pure in his sight:

6 ¡ cuánto menos el hombre, esa larva, y el hijo del hombre, ese gusano!

How much less man, that is a worm! And the son of man, that is a worm!
