1 T hese are the journeys of the children of Israel, which went forth out of the land of Egypt with their armies under the hand of Moses and Aaron.

Estas são as jornadas dos israelitas quando saíram do Egito, organizados segundo as suas divisões, sob a liderança de Moisés e Arão.

2 A nd Moses wrote their goings out according to their journeys by the commandment of the Lord: and these are their journeys according to their goings out.

Por ordem do Senhor Moisés registrou as etapas da jornada deles. Esta foi a jornada deles, por etapas:

3 A nd they departed from Rameses in the first month, on the fifteenth day of the first month; on the morrow after the passover the children of Israel went out with an high hand in the sight of all the Egyptians.

Os israelitas partiram de Ramessés no décimo quinto dia do primeiro mês, no dia seguinte ao da Páscoa. Saíram, marchando desafiadoramente à vista de todos os egípcios,

4 F or the Egyptians buried all their firstborn, which the Lord had smitten among them: upon their gods also the Lord executed judgments.

enquanto estes sepultavam o primeiro filho de cada um deles, que o Senhor matou. O Senhor impôs castigo aos seus deuses.

5 A nd the children of Israel removed from Rameses, and pitched in Succoth.

Os israelitas partiram de Ramessés e acamparam em Sucote.

6 A nd they departed from Succoth, and pitched in Etham, which is in the edge of the wilderness.

Partiram de Sucote e acamparam em Etã, nos limites do deserto.

7 A nd they removed from Etham, and turned again unto Pi-hahiroth, which is before Baal-zephon: and they pitched before Migdol.

Partiram de Etã, voltaram para Pi-Hairote, a leste de Baal-Zefom, e acamparam perto de Migdol.

8 A nd they departed from before Pi-hahiroth, and passed through the midst of the sea into the wilderness, and went three days’ journey in the wilderness of Etham, and pitched in Marah.

Partiram de Pi-Hairote e atravessaram o mar, chegando ao deserto, e, depois de viajarem três dias no deserto de Etã, acamparam em Mara.

9 A nd they removed from Marah, and came unto Elim: and in Elim were twelve fountains of water, and threescore and ten palm trees; and they pitched there.

Partiram de Mara e foram para Elim, onde havia doze fontes e setenta palmeiras, e acamparam ali.

10 A nd they removed from Elim, and encamped by the Red sea.

Partiram de Elim e acamparam junto ao mar Vermelho.

11 A nd they removed from the Red sea, and encamped in the wilderness of Sin.

12 A nd they took their journey out of the wilderness of Sin, and encamped in Dophkah.

14 A nd they removed from Alush, and encamped at Rephidim, where was no water for the people to drink.

15 A nd they departed from Rephidim, and pitched in the wilderness of Sinai.

16 A nd they removed from the desert of Sinai, and pitched at Kibroth-hattaavah.

17 A nd they departed from Kibroth-hattaavah, and encamped at Hazeroth.

36 A nd they removed from Ezion-gaber, and pitched in the wilderness of Zin, which is Kadesh.

37 A nd they removed from Kadesh, and pitched in mount Hor, in the edge of the land of Edom.

Partiram de Cades e acamparam no monte Hor, na fronteira de Edom.

38 A nd Aaron the priest went up into mount Hor at the commandment of the Lord, and died there, in the fortieth year after the children of Israel were come out of the land of Egypt, in the first day of the fifth month.

Por ordem do Senhor, o sacerdote Arão subiu o monte Hor, onde morreu no primeiro dia do quinto mês do quadragésimo ano depois que os israelitas saíram do Egito.

39 A nd Aaron was an hundred and twenty and three years old when he died in mount Hor.

Arão tinha cento e vinte e três anos de idade quando morreu no monte Hor.

40 A nd king Arad the Canaanite, which dwelt in the south in the land of Canaan, heard of the coming of the children of Israel.

O rei cananeu de Arade, que vivia no Neguebe, na terra de Canaã, soube que os israelitas estavam chegando.

41 A nd they departed from mount Hor, and pitched in Zalmonah.

Eles partiram do monte Hor e acamparam em Zalmona.

42 A nd they departed from Zalmonah, and pitched in Punon.

Partiram de Zalmona e acamparam em Punom.

43 A nd they departed from Punon, and pitched in Oboth.

Partiram de Punom e acamparam em Obote.

44 A nd they departed from Oboth, and pitched in Ije-abarim, in the border of Moab.

Partiram de Obote e acamparam em Ijé-Abarim, na fronteira de Moabe.

45 A nd they departed from Iim, and pitched in Dibon-gad.

Partiram de Ijim e acamparam em Dibom-Gade.

46 A nd they removed from Dibon-gad, and encamped in Almon-diblathaim.

Partiram de Dibom-Gade e acamparam em Almom-Diblataim.

47 A nd they removed from Almon-diblathaim, and pitched in the mountains of Abarim, before Nebo.

Partiram de Almom-Diblataim e acamparam nos montes de Abarim, defronte de Nebo.

48 A nd they departed from the mountains of Abarim, and pitched in the plains of Moab by Jordan near Jericho.

Partiram dos montes de Abarim e acamparam nas campinas de Moabe junto ao Jordão, frente a Jericó.

49 A nd they pitched by Jordan, from Beth-jesimoth even unto Abel-shittim in the plains of Moab.

Nas campinas de Moabe eles acamparam junto ao Jordão, desde Bete-Jesimote até Abel-Sitim. As Normas para a Ocupação e Distribuição de Canaã

50 A nd the Lord spake unto Moses in the plains of Moab by Jordan near Jericho, saying,

Nas campinas de Moabe, junto ao Jordão, frente a Jericó, o Senhor disse a Moisés:

51 S peak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye are passed over Jordan into the land of Canaan;

“Diga aos israelitas: Quando vocês atravessarem o Jordão para entrar em Canaã,

52 t hen ye shall drive out all the inhabitants of the land from before you, and destroy all their pictures, and destroy all their molten images, and quite pluck down all their high places:

expulsem da frente de vocês todos os habitantes da terra. Destruam todas as imagens esculpidas e todos os ídolos fundidos, e derrubem todos os altares idólatras deles.

53 a nd ye shall dispossess the inhabitants of the land, and dwell therein: for I have given you the land to possess it.

Apoderem-se da terra e instalem-se nela, pois eu lhes dei a terra para que dela tomem posse.

54 A nd ye shall divide the land by lot for an inheritance among your families: and to the more ye shall give the more inheritance, and to the fewer ye shall give the less inheritance: every man’s inheritance shall be in the place where his lot falleth; according to the tribes of your fathers ye shall inherit.

Distribuam a terra por sorteio, de acordo com os seus clãs. Aos clãs maiores vocês darão uma herança maior, e aos menores, uma herança menor. Cada clã receberá a terra que lhe cair por sorte. Distribuam-na entre as tribos dos seus antepassados.

55 B ut if ye will not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you; then it shall come to pass, that those which ye let remain of them shall be pricks in your eyes, and thorns in your sides, and shall vex you in the land wherein ye dwell.

“Se, contudo, vocês não expulsarem os habitantes da terra, aqueles que vocês permitirem ficar se tornarão farpas em seus olhos e espinhos em suas costas. Eles lhes causarão problemas na terra em que vocês irão morar.

56 M oreover it shall come to pass, that I shall do unto you, as I thought to do unto them.

Então farei a vocês o mesmo que planejo fazer a eles”.
