1 A nd the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,

O Senhor disse a Moisés:

2 M ake thee two trumpets of silver; of a whole piece shalt thou make them: that thou mayest use them for the calling of the assembly, and for the journeying of the camps.

“Faça duas cornetas de prata batida a fim de usá-las para reunir a comunidade e para dar aos acampamentos o sinal para partirem.

3 A nd when they shall blow with them, all the assembly shall assemble themselves to thee at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.

Quando as duas cornetas tocarem, a comunidade inteira se reunirá diante de você, à entrada da Tenda do Encontro.

4 A nd if they blow but with one trumpet, then the princes, which are heads of the thousands of Israel, shall gather themselves unto thee.

Se apenas uma tocar, os líderes, chefes dos clãs de Israel, se reunirão diante de você.

5 W hen ye blow an alarm, then the camps that lie on the east parts shall go forward.

Quando a corneta der um toque de alerta, as tribos acampadas a leste deverão partir.

6 W hen ye blow an alarm the second time, then the camps that lie on the south side shall take their journey: they shall blow an alarm for their journeys.

Ao som do segundo toque, os acampamentos do lado sul partirão. O toque de alerta será o sinal para partir.

7 B ut when the congregation is to be gathered together, ye shall blow, but ye shall not sound an alarm.

Para reunir a assembléia, faça soar as cornetas, mas não com o mesmo toque.

8 A nd the sons of Aaron, the priests, shall blow with the trumpets; and they shall be to you for an ordinance for ever throughout your generations.

“Os filhos de Arão, os sacerdotes, tocarão as cornetas. Este é um decreto perpétuo para vocês e para as suas gerações.

9 A nd if ye go to war in your land against the enemy that oppresseth you, then ye shall blow an alarm with the trumpets; and ye shall be remembered before the Lord your God, and ye shall be saved from your enemies.

Quando em sua terra vocês entrarem em guerra contra um adversário que os esteja oprimindo, toquem as cornetas; e o Senhor, o Deus de vocês, se lembrará de vocês e os libertará dos seus inimigos.

10 A lso in the day of your gladness, and in your solemn days, and in the beginnings of your months, ye shall blow with the trumpets over your burnt offerings, and over the sacrifices of your peace offerings; that they may be to you for a memorial before your God: I am the Lord your God.

Também em seus dias festivos, nas festas fixas e no primeiro dia de cada mês, vocês deverão tocar as cornetas por ocasião dos seus holocaustos e das suas ofertas de comunhão, e elas serão um memorial em favor de vocês perante o seu Deus. Eu sou o Senhor, o Deus de vocês”. Os Israelitas Partem do Sinai

11 A nd it came to pass on the twentieth day of the second month, in the second year, that the cloud was taken up from off the tabernacle of the testimony.

No vigésimo dia do segundo mês do segundo ano, a nuvem se levantou de cima do tabernáculo que guarda as tábuas da aliança.

12 A nd the children of Israel took their journeys out of the wilderness of Sinai; and the cloud rested in the wilderness of Paran.

Então os israelitas partiram do deserto do Sinai e viajaram por etapas, até que a nuvem pousou no deserto de Parã.

13 A nd they first took their journey according to the commandment of the Lord by the hand of Moses.

Assim partiram pela primeira vez, conforme a ordem do Senhor anunciada por Moisés.

14 I n the first place went the standard of the camp of the children of Judah according to their armies: and over his host was Nahshon the son of Amminadab.

Os exércitos do acampamento de Judá partiram primeiro, junto à sua bandeira. Naassom, filho de Aminadabe, estava no comando.

15 A nd over the host of the tribe of the children of Issachar was Nethaneel the son of Zuar.

Natanael, filho de Zuar, comandava os exércitos da tribo de Issacar,

16 A nd over the host of the tribe of the children of Zebulun was Eliab the son of Helon.

e Eliabe, filho de Helom, chefiava os exércitos da tribo de Zebulom.

17 A nd the tabernacle was taken down; and the sons of Gershon and the sons of Merari set forward, bearing the tabernacle.

Quando o tabernáculo era desmontado, os gersonitas e os meraritas o carregavam e partiam.

18 A nd the standard of the camp of Reuben set forward according to their armies: and over his host was Elizur the son of Shedeur.

Os exércitos do acampamento de Rúben partiram em seguida, junto à sua bandeira. Elizur, filho de Sedeur, estava no comando.

19 A nd over the host of the tribe of the children of Simeon was Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai.

Selumiel, filho de Zurisadai, comandava os exércitos da tribo de Simeão,

20 A nd over the host of the tribe of the children of Gad was Eliasaph the son of Deuel.

e Eliasafe, filho de Deuel, chefiava os exércitos da tribo de Gade.

21 A nd the Kohathites set forward, bearing the sanctuary: and the other did set up the tabernacle against they came.

Então os coatitas partiam carregando as coisas sagradas. Antes que eles chegassem, o tabernáculo já deveria estar armado.

22 A nd the standard of the camp of the children of Ephraim set forward according to their armies: and over his host was Elishama the son of Ammihud.

Os exércitos do acampamento de Efraim partiram em seguida, junto à sua bandeira. Elisama, filho de Amiúde, estava no comando.

23 A nd over the host of the tribe of the children of Manasseh was Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur.

Gamaliel, filho de Pedazur, comandava os exércitos da tribo de Manassés,

24 A nd over the host of the tribe of the children of Benjamin was Abidan the son of Gideoni.

e Abidã, filho de Gideoni, os exércitos da tribo de Benjamim.

25 A nd the standard of the camp of the children of Dan set forward, which was the rereward of all the camps throughout their hosts: and over his host was Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai.

Finalmente, partiram os exércitos do acampamento de Dã, junto à sua bandeira, como retaguarda para todos os acampamentos. Aieser, filho de Amisadai, estava no comando.

26 A nd over the host of the tribe of the children of Asher was Pagiel the son of Ocran.

Pagiel, filho de Ocrã, comandava os exércitos da tribo de Aser,

27 A nd over the host of the tribe of the children of Naphtali was Ahira the son of Enan.

e Aira, filho de Enã, a divisão da tribo de Naftali.

28 T hus were the journeyings of the children of Israel according to their armies, when they set forward.

Essa era a ordem que os exércitos israelitas seguiam quando se punham em marcha.

29 A nd Moses said unto Hobab, the son of Raguel the Midianite, Moses’ father in law, We are journeying unto the place of which the Lord said, I will give it you: come thou with us, and we will do thee good: for the Lord hath spoken good concerning Israel.

Então Moisés disse a Hobabe, filho do midianita Reuel, sogro de Moisés: “Estamos partindo para o lugar a respeito do qual o Senhor disse: ‘Eu o darei a vocês’. Venha conosco e o trataremos bem, pois o Senhor prometeu boas coisas para Israel”.

30 A nd he said unto him, I will not go; but I will depart to mine own land, and to my kindred.

Ele respondeu: “Não, não irei; voltarei para a minha terra e para o meu povo”.

31 A nd he said, Leave us not, I pray thee; forasmuch as thou knowest how we are to encamp in the wilderness, and thou mayest be to us instead of eyes.

Moisés, porém, disse: “Por favor, não nos deixe. Você sabe onde devemos acampar no deserto e pode ser o nosso guia.

32 A nd it shall be, if thou go with us, yea, it shall be, that what goodness the Lord shall do unto us, the same will we do unto thee.

Se vier conosco, partilharemos com você todas as coisas boas que o Senhor nos der”.

33 A nd they departed from the mount of the Lord three days’ journey: and the ark of the covenant of the Lord went before them in the three days’ journey, to search out a resting place for them.

Então eles partiram do monte do Senhor e viajaram três dias. A arca da aliança do Senhor foi à frente deles durante aqueles três dias para encontrar um lugar para descansarem.

34 A nd the cloud of the Lord was upon them by day, when they went out of the camp.

A nuvem do Senhor estava sobre eles de dia, sempre que partiam de um acampamento.

35 A nd it came to pass, when the ark set forward, that Moses said, Rise up, Lord, and let thine enemies be scattered; and let them that hate thee flee before thee.

Sempre que a arca partia, Moisés dizia: “Levanta-te, ó Senhor! Sejam espalhados os teus inimigos e fujam de diante de ti os teus adversários”.

36 A nd when it rested, he said, Return, O Lord, unto the many thousands of Israel.

Sempre que a arca parava, ele dizia: “Volta, ó Senhor, para os incontáveis milhares de Israel”.
