1 T he word that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem.

Lo que vio Isaías hijo de Amoz, acerca de Judá y de Jerusalén.

2 N ow it shall come to pass in the latter days That the mountain of the Lord ’s house Shall be established on the top of the mountains, And shall be exalted above the hills; And all nations shall flow to it.

Acontecerá que al final de los tiempos será confirmado el monte de la casa de Jehová como cabeza de los montes; será exaltado sobre los collados y correrán a él todas las naciones.

3 M any people shall come and say, “Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, To the house of the God of Jacob; He will teach us His ways, And we shall walk in His paths.” For out of Zion shall go forth the law, And the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.

Vendrán muchos pueblos y dirán: «Venid, subamos al monte de Jehová, a la casa del Dios de Jacob. Él nos enseñará sus caminos y caminaremos por sus sendas.» Porque de Sión saldrá la Ley y de Jerusalén la palabra de Jehová.

4 H e shall judge between the nations, And rebuke many people; They shall beat their swords into plowshares, And their spears into pruning hooks; Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, Neither shall they learn war anymore. The Day of the Lord

Él juzgará entre las naciones y reprenderá a muchos pueblos. Convertirán sus espadas en rejas de arado y sus lanzas en hoces; no alzará espada nación contra nación ni se adiestrarán más para la guerra.

5 O house of Jacob, come and let us walk In the light of the Lord.

Venid, casa de Jacob, y caminaremos a la luz de Jehová. Juicio de Jehová contra los soberbios

6 F or You have forsaken Your people, the house of Jacob, Because they are filled with eastern ways; They are soothsayers like the Philistines, And they are pleased with the children of foreigners.

Ciertamente tú has dejado tu pueblo, la casa de Jacob, porque están llenos de costumbres traídas del oriente y de agoreros, como los filisteos; y pactan con hijos de extranjeros.

7 T heir land is also full of silver and gold, And there is no end to their treasures; Their land is also full of horses, And there is no end to their chariots.

Su tierra está llena de plata y de oro, sus tesoros no tienen fin. También está su tierra llena de caballos y sus carros son innumerables.

8 T heir land is also full of idols; They worship the work of their own hands, That which their own fingers have made.

Además, su tierra está llena de ídolos, y se han arrodillado ante la obra de sus manos y ante lo que fabricaron sus dedos.

9 P eople bow down, And each man humbles himself; Therefore do not forgive them.

Así se ha inclinado el hombre y el varón se ha humillado; por tanto, no los perdones.

10 E nter into the rock, and hide in the dust, From the terror of the Lord And the glory of His majesty.

¡Métete en la peña y en el polvo escóndete de la presencia temible de Jehová y del resplandor de su majestad!

11 T he lofty looks of man shall be humbled, The haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, And the Lord alone shall be exalted in that day.

La altivez de la mirada del hombre será abatida; la soberbia humana será humillada. Sólo Jehová será exaltado en aquel día.

12 F or the day of the Lord of hosts Shall come upon everything proud and lofty, Upon everything lifted up— And it shall be brought low—

Porque el día de Jehová de los ejércitos vendrá sobre todo soberbio y altivo, sobre todo lo arrogante, y será abatido;

13 U pon all the cedars of Lebanon that are high and lifted up, And upon all the oaks of Bashan;

sobre todos los cedros del Líbano altos y erguidos, y sobre todas las encinas de Basán;

14 U pon all the high mountains, And upon all the hills that are lifted up;

sobre todos los montes altos y sobre todos los collados elevados;

15 U pon every high tower, And upon every fortified wall;

sobre toda torre alta y sobre todo muro fortificado;

16 U pon all the ships of Tarshish, And upon all the beautiful sloops.

sobre todas las naves de Tarsis y sobre todos los barcos lujosos.

17 T he loftiness of man shall be bowed down, And the haughtiness of men shall be brought low; The Lord alone will be exalted in that day,

La altivez del hombre será abatida; la soberbia humana será humillada. Sólo Jehová será exaltado en aquel día.

18 B ut the idols He shall utterly abolish.

Y acabará por completo con los ídolos.

19 T hey shall go into the holes of the rocks, And into the caves of the earth, From the terror of the Lord And the glory of His majesty, When He arises to shake the earth mightily.

Se meterán en las cavernas de las peñas y en las aberturas de la tierra, a causa de la presencia temible de Jehová y del resplandor de su majestad, cuando él se levante para castigar la tierra.

20 I n that day a man will cast away his idols of silver And his idols of gold, Which they made, each for himself to worship, To the moles and bats,

Aquel día arrojará el hombre a los topos y murciélagos sus ídolos de plata y sus ídolos de oro, que le hicieron para que adorara.

21 T o go into the clefts of the rocks, And into the crags of the rugged rocks, From the terror of the Lord And the glory of His majesty, When He arises to shake the earth mightily.

Se meterá en las hendiduras de las rocas y en las cavernas de las peñas, a causa de la presencia formidable de Jehová y del resplandor de su majestad, cuando se levante para castigar la tierra.

22 S ever yourselves from such a man, Whose breath is in his nostrils; For of what account is he?

¡Dejad al hombre cuyo aliento está en su nariz! Porque ¿de qué estima es él digno?
