1 “ Listen to Me, you who follow after righteousness, You who seek the Lord: Look to the rock from which you were hewn, And to the hole of the pit from which you were dug.

«Oídme, los que seguís la justicia, los que buscáis a Jehová. Mirad a la piedra de donde fuisteis cortados, al hueco de la cantera de donde fuisteis arrancados.

2 L ook to Abraham your father, And to Sarah who bore you; For I called him alone, And blessed him and increased him.”

Mirad a Abraham, vuestro padre, y a Sara, que os dio a luz; porque cuando no era más que uno solo, lo llamé, lo bendije y lo multipliqué.

3 F or the Lord will comfort Zion, He will comfort all her waste places; He will make her wilderness like Eden, And her desert like the garden of the Lord; Joy and gladness will be found in it, Thanksgiving and the voice of melody.

Ciertamente consolará Jehová a Sión; consolará todas sus ruinas. Cambiará su desierto en un edén y su tierra estéril en huerto de Jehová; se hallará en ella alegría y gozo, alabanzas y cánticos.

4 “ Listen to Me, My people; And give ear to Me, O My nation: For law will proceed from Me, And I will make My justice rest As a light of the peoples.

»Estad atentos a mí, pueblo mío, y oídme, nación mía; porque de mí saldrá la Ley, y mi justicia para luz de los pueblos.

5 M y righteousness is near, My salvation has gone forth, And My arms will judge the peoples; The coastlands will wait upon Me, And on My arm they will trust.

Muy cerca está mi justicia, ya ha salido mi salvación y mis brazos juzgarán a los pueblos. En mí esperan los de la costa; en mi brazo ponen su esperanza.

6 L ift up your eyes to the heavens, And look on the earth beneath. For the heavens will vanish away like smoke, The earth will grow old like a garment, And those who dwell in it will die in like manner; But My salvation will be forever, And My righteousness will not be abolished.

Alzad a los cielos vuestros ojos y mirad abajo, a la tierra; porque los cielos se desvanecerán como el humo y la tierra se envejecerá como un vestido. De la misma manera perecerán sus moradores; pero mi salvación será para siempre, mi justicia no perecerá.

7 “ Listen to Me, you who know righteousness, You people in whose heart is My law: Do not fear the reproach of men, Nor be afraid of their insults.

Oídme, los que conocéis justicia, pueblo en cuyo corazón está mi Ley. No temáis afrenta de hombres ni desmayéis por sus ultrajes.

8 F or the moth will eat them up like a garment, And the worm will eat them like wool; But My righteousness will be forever, And My salvation from generation to generation.”

Porque como a un vestido los comerá la polilla, como a la lana los comerá el gusano; pero mi justicia permanecerá perpetuamente y mi salvación por generación y generación.»

9 A wake, awake, put on strength, O arm of the Lord! Awake as in the ancient days, In the generations of old. Are You not the arm that cut Rahab apart, And wounded the serpent?

¡Despiértate, despiértate, vístete de poder, brazo de Jehová! ¡Despiértate como en el tiempo antiguo, en los siglos pasados! ¿No eres tú el que despedazó a Rahab, el que hirió al dragón?

10 A re You not the One who dried up the sea, The waters of the great deep; That made the depths of the sea a road For the redeemed to cross over?

¿No eres tú el que secó el mar, las aguas del gran abismo, el que transformó en camino las profundidades del mar para que pasaran los redimidos?

11 S o the ransomed of the Lord shall return, And come to Zion with singing, With everlasting joy on their heads. They shall obtain joy and gladness; Sorrow and sighing shall flee away.

Ciertamente volverán los redimidos de Jehová; volverán a Sión cantando y gozo perpetuo habrá sobre sus cabezas. Tendrán gozo y alegría, y huirán el dolor y el gemido.

12 “ I, even I, am He who comforts you. Who are you that you should be afraid Of a man who will die, And of the son of a man who will be made like grass?

«Yo, yo soy vuestro consolador. ¿Quién eres tú para que tengas temor de los mortales y de los hijos de los hombres, que son como el heno?

13 A nd you forget the Lord your Maker, Who stretched out the heavens And laid the foundations of the earth; You have feared continually every day Because of the fury of the oppressor, When he has prepared to destroy. And where is the fury of the oppressor?

¿Ya te has olvidado de Jehová, tu Hacedor, que extendió los cielos y fundó la tierra? Todo el día, sin cesar, has temido el furor del que aflige, cuando se dispone a destruir. ¿Pero dónde está el furor del que aflige?

14 T he captive exile hastens, that he may be loosed, That he should not die in the pit, And that his bread should not fail.

El preso agobiado será libertado pronto; no morirá en la mazmorra ni le faltará su pan.

15 B ut I am the Lord your God, Who divided the sea whose waves roared— The Lord of hosts is His name.

»Yo Jehová, que agito el mar y hago rugir sus olas, soy tu Dios, y mi nombre es Jehová de los ejércitos.

16 A nd I have put My words in your mouth; I have covered you with the shadow of My hand, That I may plant the heavens, Lay the foundations of the earth, And say to Zion, ‘You are My people.’” God’s Fury Removed

En tu boca he puesto mis palabras y con la sombra de mi mano te cubrí, extendiendo los cielos, echando los cimientos de la tierra y diciendo a Sión: “Pueblo mío eres tú.”»

17 A wake, awake! Stand up, O Jerusalem, You who have drunk at the hand of the Lord The cup of His fury; You have drunk the dregs of the cup of trembling, And drained it out.

¡Despierta, despierta, levántate, Jerusalén, que bebiste de la mano de Jehová la copa de su ira! Porque la copa de aturdimiento bebiste hasta los posos.

18 T here is no one to guide her Among all the sons she has brought forth; Nor is there any who takes her by the hand Among all the sons she has brought up.

De todos los hijos que dio a luz, no hay quien la guíe; ni quien la tome de la mano, de todos los hijos que crió.

19 T hese two things have come to you; Who will be sorry for you?— Desolation and destruction, famine and sword— By whom will I comfort you?

Estas dos cosas te han acontecido: asolamiento y quebrantamiento, hambre y espada. ¿Quién se compadece de ti? ¿Quién te consolará?

20 Y our sons have fainted, They lie at the head of all the streets, Like an antelope in a net; They are full of the fury of the Lord, The rebuke of your God.

Tus hijos desmayaron, estuvieron tendidos en las encrucijadas de todos los caminos, como un antílope en la red, llenos de la indignación de Jehová, de la ira del Dios tuyo.

21 T herefore please hear this, you afflicted, And drunk but not with wine.

Ahora, pues, oye esto, afligida, ebria, pero no de vino:

22 T hus says your Lord, The Lord and your God, Who pleads the cause of His people: “See, I have taken out of your hand The cup of trembling, The dregs of the cup of My fury; You shall no longer drink it.

Así dijo Jehová, tu Señor y tu Dios, el cual aboga por su pueblo: «He aquí he quitado de tu mano la copa de aturdimiento, los posos de la copa de mi ira. Nunca más la beberás.

23 B ut I will put it into the hand of those who afflict you, Who have said to you, ‘Lie down, that we may walk over you.’ And you have laid your body like the ground, And as the street, for those who walk over.”

Yo la pondré en manos de tus angustiadores, que dijeron a tu alma: “Inclínate, y pasaremos por encima de ti.” Y tú pusiste tu espalda como suelo, como camino, para que pasaran.»
