1 D ijo Jesús a sus discípulos: Imposible es que no vengan tropiezos; mas ¡ay de aquel por quien vienen!

He said to His disciples, “ It is inevitable that stumbling blocks come, but woe to him through whom they come!

2 M ejor le sería que se le atase al cuello una piedra de molino y se le arrojase al mar, que hacer tropezar a uno de estos pequeños.

It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck and he were thrown into the sea, than that he would cause one of these little ones to stumble.

3 T ened cuidado de vosotros mismos. Si tu hermano peca, repréndele; y si se arrepiente, perdónale.

Be on your guard! If your brother sins, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him.

4 Y si peca contra ti siete veces al día, y vuelve a ti siete veces al día, diciendo: Me arrepiento; perdónale. Auméntanos la fe

And if he sins against you seven times a day, and returns to you seven times, saying, ‘I repent,’ forgive him.”

5 D ijeron los apóstoles al Señor: Auméntanos la fe.

The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith!”

6 E ntonces el Señor dijo: Si tuvierais fe como un grano de mostaza, podríais decir a este sicómoro: Desarráigate, y plántate en el mar; y os obedecería. El deber del siervo

And the Lord said, “If you had faith like a mustard seed, you would say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and be planted in the sea’; and it would obey you.

7 ¿ Quién de vosotros, teniendo un siervo que ara o apacienta ganado, al volver él del campo, le dice: Pasa en seguida, y siéntate a la mesa?

“Which of you, having a slave plowing or tending sheep, will say to him when he has come in from the field, ‘Come immediately and sit down to eat’?

8 ¿ No le dirá más bien: Prepárame algo para cenar, cíñete, y sírveme hasta que haya comido y bebido; y después de esto, puedes comer y beber tú?

But will he not say to him, ‘ Prepare something for me to eat, and properly clothe yourself and serve me while I eat and drink; and afterward you may eat and drink’?

9 ¿ Acaso le da las gracias al siervo porque hizo lo que se le había mandado? Pienso que no.

He does not thank the slave because he did the things which were commanded, does he?

10 A sí también vosotros, cuando hayáis hecho todo lo que os ha sido ordenado, decid: Siervos inútiles somos, pues hemos hecho lo que debíamos hacer. Diez leprosos son limpiados

So you too, when you do all the things which are commanded you, say, ‘We are unworthy slaves; we have done only that which we ought to have done.’” Ten Lepers Cleansed

11 Y endo Jesús a Jerusalén, pasaba entre Samaria y Galilea.

While He was on the way to Jerusalem, He was passing between Samaria and Galilee.

12 Y al entrar en una aldea le salieron al encuentro diez hombres leprosos, los cuales se pararon a distancia,

As He entered a village, ten leprous men who stood at a distance met Him;

13 y alzaron la voz, diciendo: ¡Jesús, Maestro, ten compasión de nosotros!

and they raised their voices, saying, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!”

14 C uando él los vio, les dijo: Id y mostraos a los sacerdotes. Y aconteció que mientras iban, fueron limpiados.

When He saw them, He said to them, “ Go and show yourselves to the priests.” And as they were going, they were cleansed.

15 E ntonces uno de ellos, viendo que había sido sanado, volvió, glorificando a Dios a gran voz,

Now one of them, when he saw that he had been healed, turned back, glorifying God with a loud voice,

16 y se postró rostro en tierra a sus pies, dándole gracias; y éste era samaritano.

and he fell on his face at His feet, giving thanks to Him. And he was a Samaritan.

17 T omando la palabra Jesús, dijo: ¿No son diez los que fueron limpiados? Y los otros nueve, ¿dónde están?

Then Jesus answered and said, “Were there not ten cleansed? But the nine—where are they?

18 ¿ No hubo quien volviese y diese gloria a Dios sino este extranjero?

Was no one found who returned to give glory to God, except this foreigner?”

19 Y le dijo: Levántate y prosigue tu camino; tu fe te ha sanado. La venida del reino

And He said to him, “Stand up and go; your faith has made you well.”

20 P reguntado por los fariseos, cuándo había de venir el reino de Dios, les respondió y dijo: El reino de Dios no viene con advertencia,

Now having been questioned by the Pharisees as to when the kingdom of God was coming, He answered them and said, “The kingdom of God is not coming with signs to be observed;

21 n i dirán: Aquí está, o: Allí está; porque el reino de Dios está en medio de vosotros.

nor will they say, ‘Look, here it is!’ or, ‘There it is!’ For behold, the kingdom of God is in your midst.” Second Coming Foretold

22 Y les dijo a los discípulos: Vendrán días en que ansiaréis ver uno de los días del Hijo del Hombre, y no lo veréis.

And He said to the disciples, “ The days will come when you will long to see one of the days of the Son of Man, and you will not see it.

23 Y os dirán: Aquí está, o: Allí está. No vayáis, ni los sigáis.

They will say to you, ‘Look there! Look here!’ Do not go away, and do not run after them.

24 P orque como el relámpago que al fulgurar resplandece desde un extremo del cielo hasta el otro, así también será el Hijo del Hombre en su día.

For just like the lightning, when it flashes out of one part of the sky, shines to the other part of the sky, so will the Son of Man be in His day.

25 P ero primero es necesario que padezca mucho, y sea desechado por esta generación.

But first He must suffer many things and be rejected by this generation.

26 C omo fue en los días de Noé, así también será en los días del Hijo del Hombre.

And just as it happened in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man:

27 C omían, bebían, se casaban y se daban en casamiento, hasta el día en que entró Noé en el arca, y vino el diluvio y los destruyó a todos.

they were eating, they were drinking, they were marrying, they were being given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all.

28 A simismo como sucedió en los días de Lot; comían, bebían, compraban, vendían, plantaban, edificaban;

It was the same as happened in the days of Lot: they were eating, they were drinking, they were buying, they were selling, they were planting, they were building;

29 m as el día en que Lot salió de Sodoma, llovió del cielo fuego y azufre, y los destruyó a todos.

but on the day that Lot went out from Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all.

30 L o mismo será el día en que el Hijo del Hombre se manifieste.

It will be just the same on the day that the Son of Man is revealed.

31 E n aquel día, el que esté en la azotea, y sus bienes en casa, no descienda a tomarlos; y el que en el campo, asimismo no vuelva atrás.

On that day, the one who is on the housetop and whose goods are in the house must not go down to take them out; and likewise the one who is in the field must not turn back.

32 A cordaos de la mujer de Lot.

Remember Lot’s wife.

33 T odo el que procure salvar su vida, la perderá; y todo el que la pierda, la conservará.

Whoever seeks to keep his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life will preserve it.

34 O s digo que en aquella noche estarán dos en una cama; el uno será tomado, y el otro será dejado.

I tell you, on that night there will be two in one bed; one will be taken and the other will be left.

35 D os mujeres estarán moliendo juntas; la una será tomada, y la otra dejada.

There will be two women grinding at the same place; one will be taken and the other will be left.

36 D os estarán en el campo; el uno será tomado, y el otro dejado.

'> Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other will be left.” ]

37 Y respondiendo, le dijeron: ¿Dónde, Señor? Él les dijo: Donde esté el cuerpo, allí se juntarán también las águilas.

And answering they said to Him, “Where, Lord?” And He said to them, “ Where the body is, there also the vultures will be gathered.”
