1 Y llamó Jacob a sus hijos, y dijo: Juntaos, y os declararé lo que os ha de acontecer en los días venideros.

Then Jacob summoned his sons and said, “Assemble yourselves that I may tell you what will befall you in the days to come.

2 J untaos y oíd, hijos de Jacob, Y escuchad a vuestro padre Israel.

“Gather together and hear, O sons of Jacob; And listen to Israel your father.

3 R ubén, tú eres mi primogénito, mi fortaleza, y el principio de mi vigor; Principal en dignidad, principal en poder.

“Reuben, you are my firstborn; My might and the beginning of my strength, Preeminent in dignity and preeminent in power.

4 P resuroso como las aguas, no serás el principal, Por cuanto subiste al lecho de tu padre; Entonces te envileciste, subiendo a mi estrado.

“ Uncontrolled as water, you shall not have preeminence, Because you went up to your father’s bed; Then you defiled it —he went up to my couch.

5 S imeón y Leví son hermanos; Armas de iniquidad sus armas.

18 T u salvación esperé, oh Jehová.

20 E l pan de Aser será substancioso, Y él dará deleites al rey.

22 R ama fructífera es José, Rama fructífera junto a una fuente, Cuyos vástagos se extienden sobre su muro.

26 L as bendiciones de tu padre Fueron mayores que las bendiciones de mis progenitores; Hasta el término de los collados eternos Serán sobre la cabeza de José, Y sobre la frente del que fue apartado de entre sus hermanos.

“The blessings of your father Have surpassed the blessings of my ancestors Up to the utmost bound of the everlasting hills; May they be on the head of Joseph, And on the crown of the head of the one distinguished among his brothers.
