1 O ración de David. OYE, oh Jehová, justicia; está atento á mi clamor; Escucha mi oración hecha sin labios de engaño.

Hear the right, O Jehovah, attend unto my cry; give ear unto my prayer, which is not out of feigned lips.

2 D e delante de tu rostro salga mi juicio; Vean tus ojos la rectitud.

Let my judgment come forth from thy presence, let thine eyes regard equity.

3 T ú has probado mi corazón, hasme visitado de noche; Me has apurado, y nada inicuo hallaste: Heme propuesto que mi boca no ha de propasarse.

Thou hast proved my heart, thou hast visited me by night; thou hast tried me, thou hast found nothing: my thought goeth not beyond my word.

4 P ara las obras humanas, por la palabra de tus labios Yo me he guardado de las vías del destructor.

Concerning the works of men, by the word of thy lips I have kept from the paths of the violent.

5 S ustenta mis pasos en tus caminos, Porque mis pies no resbalen.

When thou holdest my goings in thy paths, my footsteps slip not.

6 Y o te he invocado, por cuanto tú me oirás, oh Dios: Inclina á mí tu oído, escucha mi palabra.

I have called upon thee, for thou answerest me, O God. Incline thine ear unto me, hear my speech.

7 M uestra tus estupendas misericordias, tú que salvas á los que en ti confían. De los que se levantan contra tu diestra.

Shew wondrously thy loving-kindnesses, O thou that savest by thy right hand them that trust from those that rise up.

8 G uárdame como lo negro de la niñeta del ojo, Escóndeme con la sombra de tus alas,

Keep me as the apple of the eye, hide me under the shadow of thy wings,

9 D e delante de los malos que me oprimen, De mis enemigos que me cercan por la vida.

From the wicked that destroy me, my deadly enemies, who compass me about.

10 C errados están con su grosura; Con su boca hablan soberbiamente.

They are enclosed in their own fat; with their mouth they speak proudly.

11 N uestros pasos nos han cercado ahora: Puestos tienen sus ojos para echar nos por tierra.

They have now encompassed us in our steps; their eyes have they set, bowing down to the earth.

12 P arecen al león que desea hacer presa, Y al leoncillo que está escondido.

He is like a lion that is greedy of its prey, and as a young lion lurking in secret places.

13 L evántate, oh Jehová; Prevén su encuentro, póstrale: Libra mi alma del malo con tu espada;

Arise, Jehovah, anticipate him, cast him down: deliver my soul from the wicked, thy sword;

14 D e los hombres con tu mano, oh Jehová, De los hombres de mundo, cuya parte es en esta vida, Y cuyo vientre hinches de tu tesoro: Hartan sus hijos, Y dejan el resto á sus chiquitos.

From men thy hand, O Jehovah, from men of this age: their portion is in life, and their belly thou fillest with thy hid; they have their fill of sons, and leave the rest of their to their children.

15 Y o en justicia veré tu rostro: Seré saciado cuando despertare á tu semejanza.

As for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness; I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness.
