1 D umnezeule, dă judecăţile Tale regelui şi dreptatea Ta fiului regelui!

Give the king thy judgments, O God, and thy righteousness unto the king's son.

2 A tunci el va judeca cu dreptate pe poporul Tău şi cu nepărtinire pe sărmanii Tăi.

He shall judge thy people with righteousness, and thy poor with judgment.

3 M unţii vor aduce pacea pentru popor şi tot aşa şi dealurile, prin dreptate.

The mountains shall bring peace to the people, and the little hills, by righteousness.

4 E l le va face dreptate asupriţilor din popor, îi va izbăvi pe fiii săracilor şi îl va zdrobi pe asupritor.

He shall judge the poor of the people, he shall save the children of the needy, and shall break in pieces the oppressor.

5 E l va trăi atâta timp cât va fi soare, cât va fi lună, din neam în neam.

They shall fear thee as long as the sun and moon endure, throughout all generations.

6 E l va fi ca ploaia care coboară peste pământul cosit, ca ploile repezi, picurând pământul.

He shall come down like rain upon the mown grass: as showers that water the earth.

7 Î n zilele lui, cel drept va înflori şi va fi multă pace, până când nu va mai fi lună.

In his days shall the righteous flourish; and abundance of peace so long as the moon endureth.

8 E l va domni de la o mare la alta şi de la râu până la marginile pământului.

He shall have dominion also from sea to sea, and from the river unto the ends of the earth.

9 Î naintea lui se vor pleca triburile pustiei, iar duşmanii lui vor linge ţărâna.

They that dwell in the wilderness shall bow before him; and his enemies shall lick the dust.

10 R egi din Tarşiş şi din ostroave se vor întoarce cu daruri; regi din Şeba şi din Seba se vor apropia cu ofrande.

The kings of Tarshish and of the isles shall bring presents: the kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer gifts.

11 I se vor închina toţi regii, toate popoarele îl vor sluji.

Yea, all kings shall fall down before him: all nations shall serve him.

12 C ăci el îl va scăpa pe săracul care strigă şi pe sărmanul lipsit de ajutor.

For he shall deliver the needy when he crieth; the poor also, and him that hath no helper.

13 V a avea milă de cel umil şi sărac, şi va scăpa vieţile săracilor.

He shall spare the poor and needy, and shall save the souls of the needy.

14 L e va răscumpăra vieţile de la asuprire şi violenţă, căci sângele lor preţuieşte mult pentru el.

He shall redeem their soul from deceit and violence: and precious shall their blood be in his sight.

15 S ă trăiască! Să i se dea podoabe din aur de Şeba! Fie ca oamenii să se roage pentru el totdeauna şi să-l binecuvânteze în fiecare zi!

And he shall live, and to him shall be given of the gold of Sheba: prayer also shall be made for him continually; and daily shall he be praised.

16 S ă fie belşug de grâne în ţară, chiar şi pe crestele munţilor! Să freamăte pomii ca cei din Liban, iar oamenii din cetăţi să înflorească la fel ca iarba de pe pământ.

There shall be an handful of corn in the earth upon the top of the mountains; the fruit thereof shall shake like Lebanon: and they of the city shall flourish like grass of the earth.

17 S ă-i rămână numele pe vecie! Să-i dăinuiască numele cât va fi soare! Toate neamurile vor fi binecuvântate prin el şi-l vor numi fericit!

His name shall endure for ever: his name shall be continued as long as the sun: and men shall be blessed in him: all nations shall call him blessed.

18 B inecuvântat să fie Domnul Dumnezeu, Dumnezeul lui Israel, Singurul Care poate face minuni!

Blessed be the Lord God, the God of Israel, who only doeth wondrous things.

19 B inecuvântat să-I fie slăvitul Nume în veci! Slava Lui să umple întreg pământul! Amin! Amin!

And blessed be his glorious name for ever: and let the whole earth be filled with his glory; Amen, and Amen.

20 A ici este sfârşitul rugăciunilor lui David, fiul lui Işai.
