1 A LEPH. Blessed are the perfect in the way, who walk in the law of Jehovah.

2 B lessed are they that observe his testimonies, that seek him with the whole heart;

Heureux ceux qui gardent ses préceptes, Qui le cherchent de tout leur coeur,

3 W ho also do no unrighteousness: they walk in his ways.

Qui ne commettent point d'iniquité, Et qui marchent dans ses voies!

4 T hou hast enjoined thy precepts, to be kept diligently.

Tu as prescrit tes ordonnances, Pour qu'on les observe avec soin.

5 O h that my ways were directed to keep thy statutes!

Puissent mes actions être bien réglées, Afin que je garde tes statuts!

6 T hen shall I not be ashamed, when I have respect unto all thy commandments.

Alors je ne rougirai point, A la vue de tous tes commandements.

7 I will give thee thanks with uprightness of heart, when I shall have learned thy righteous judgments.

Je te louerai dans la droiture de mon coeur, En apprenant les lois de ta justice.

8 I will keep thy statutes: forsake me not utterly.

Je veux garder tes statuts: Ne m'abandonne pas entièrement!

9 B ETH. Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his path? by taking heed according to thy word.

Comment le jeune homme rendra-t-il pur son sentier? En se dirigeant d'après ta parole.

10 W ith my whole heart have I sought thee: let me not wander from thy commandments.

Je te cherche de tout mon coeur: Ne me laisse pas égarer loin de tes commandements!

11 T hy word have I hid in my heart, that I might not sin against thee.

Je serre ta parole dans mon coeur, Afin de ne pas pécher contre toi.

12 B lessed art thou, Jehovah! teach me thy statutes.

Béni sois-tu, ô Éternel! Enseigne-moi tes statuts!

13 W ith my lips have I declared all the judgments of thy mouth.

De mes lèvres j'énumère Toutes les sentences de ta bouche.

14 I have rejoiced in the way of thy testimonies, as in all wealth.

Je me réjouis en suivant tes préceptes, Comme si je possédais tous les trésors.

15 I will meditate upon thy precepts, and have respect unto thy paths.

Je médite tes ordonnances, J'ai tes sentiers sous les yeux.

16 I delight myself in thy statutes; I will not forget thy word.

Je fais mes délices de tes statuts, Je n'oublie point ta parole.

17 G IMEL. Deal bountifully with thy servant I shall live; and I will keep thy word.

Fais du bien à ton serviteur, pour que je vive Et que j'observe ta parole!

18 O pen mine eyes, and I shall behold wondrous things out of thy law.

Ouvre mes yeux, pour que je contemple Les merveilles de ta loi!

19 I am a stranger in the land; hide not thy commandments from me.

Je suis un étranger sur la terre: Ne me cache pas tes commandements!

20 M y soul breaketh for longing after thy judgments at all times.

Mon âme est brisée par le désir Qui toujours la porte vers tes lois.

21 T hou hast rebuked the proud cursed, who wander from thy commandments.

Tu menaces les orgueilleux, ces maudits, Qui s'égarent loin de tes commandements.

22 R oll off from me reproach and contempt; for I observe thy testimonies.

Décharge-moi de l'opprobre et du mépris! Car j'observe tes préceptes.

23 P rinces also did sit talk together against me: thy servant doth meditate in thy statutes.

Des princes ont beau s'asseoir et parler contre moi, Ton serviteur médite tes statuts.

24 T hy testimonies also are my delight my counsellors.

Tes préceptes font mes délices, Ce sont mes conseillers.

25 D ALETH. My soul cleaveth unto the dust: quicken me according to thy word.

Mon âme est attachée à la poussière: Rends-moi la vie selon ta parole!

26 I have declared my ways, and thou hast answered me: teach me thy statutes.

Je raconte mes voies, et tu m'exauces: Enseigne-moi tes statuts!

27 M ake me to understand the way of thy precepts, and I will meditate upon thy wondrous works.

Fais-moi comprendre la voie de tes ordonnances, Et je méditerai sur tes merveilles!

28 M y soul melteth for sadness: strengthen me according to thy word.

Mon âme pleure de chagrin: Relève-moi selon ta parole!

29 R emove from me the way of falsehood, and graciously grant me thy law.

Éloigne de moi la voie du mensonge, Et accorde-moi la grâce de suivre ta loi!

30 I have chosen the way of faithfulness; thy judgments have I set.

Je choisis la voie de la vérité, Je place tes lois sous mes yeux.

31 I cleave unto thy testimonies; Jehovah, let me not be ashamed.

Je m'attache à tes préceptes: Éternel, ne me rends point confus!

32 I will run the way of thy commandments when thou shalt enlarge my heart.

Je cours dans la voie de tes commandements, Car tu élargis mon coeur.

33 H E. Teach me, O Jehovah, the way of thy statutes, and I will observe it the end.

Enseigne-moi, Éternel, la voie de tes statuts, pour que je la retienne jusqu'à la fin!

34 G ive me understanding, and I will observe thy law; and I will keep it with whole heart.

Donne-moi l'intelligence, pour que je garde ta loi Et que je l'observe de tout mon coeur!

35 M ake me to walk in the path of thy commandments; for therein do I delight.

Conduis-moi dans le sentier de tes commandements! Car je l'aime.

36 I ncline my heart unto thy testimonies, and not to gain.

Incline mon coeur vers tes préceptes, Et non vers le gain!

37 T urn away mine eyes from beholding vanity; quicken me in thy way.

Détourne mes yeux de la vue des choses vaines, Fais-moi vivre dans ta voie!

38 E stablish thy word unto thy servant, who is to thy fear.

Accomplis envers ton serviteur ta promesse, Qui est pour ceux qui te craignent!

39 T urn away my reproach which I fear; for thy judgments are good.

Éloigne de moi l'opprobre que je redoute! Car tes jugements sont pleins de bonté.

40 B ehold, I have longed after thy precepts: quicken me in thy righteousness.

Voici, je désire pratiquer tes ordonnances: Fais-moi vivre dans ta justice!

41 V AU. And let thy loving-kindness come unto me, O Jehovah,—thy salvation according to thy word.

Éternel, que ta miséricorde vienne sur moi, Ton salut selon ta promesse!

42 S o shall I have wherewith to answer him that reproacheth me; for I confide in thy word.

Et je pourrai répondre à celui qui m'outrage, Car je me confie en ta parole.

43 A nd take not the word of truth utterly out of my mouth; because I have hoped in thy judgments.

N'ôte pas entièrement de ma bouche la parole de la vérité! Car j'espère en tes jugements.

44 T hen will I keep thy law continually, for ever and ever;

Je garderai ta loi constamment, A toujours et à perpétuité.

45 A nd I will walk at liberty, for I have sought thy precepts;

Je marcherai au large, Car je recherche tes ordonnances.

46 A nd I will speak of thy testimonies before kings, and will not be ashamed;

Je parlerai de tes préceptes devant les rois, Et je ne rougirai point.

47 A nd I will delight myself in thy commandments, which I have loved;

Je fais mes délices de tes commandements. Je les aime.

48 A nd I will lift up my hands unto thy commandments, which I have loved, and I will meditate in thy statutes.

Je lève mes mains vers tes commandements que j'aime, Et je veux méditer tes statuts.

49 Z AIN. Remember the word for thy servant, upon which thou hast caused me to hope.

Souviens-toi de ta promesse à ton serviteur, Puisque tu m'as donné l'espérance!

50 T his is my comfort in mine affliction; for thy word hath quickened me.

C'est ma consolation dans ma misère, Car ta promesse me rend la vie.

51 T he proud have derided me beyond measure: I have not declined from thy law.

Des orgueilleux me chargent de railleries; Je ne m'écarte point de ta loi.

52 I remembered thy judgments of old, O Jehovah, and have comforted myself.

Je pense à tes jugements d'autrefois, ô Éternel! Et je me console.

53 B urning indignation hath taken hold upon me because of the wicked who forsake thy law.

Une colère ardente me saisit à la vue des méchants Qui abandonnent ta loi.

54 T hy statutes have been my songs in the house of my pilgrimage.

Tes statuts sont le sujet de mes cantiques, Dans la maison où je suis étranger.

55 I have remembered thy name, O Jehovah, in the night, and have kept thy law.

La nuit je me rappelle ton nom, ô Éternel! Et je garde ta loi.

56 T his I have had, because I have observed thy precepts.

C'est là ce qui m'est propre, Car j'observe tes ordonnances.

57 C HETH. My portion, O Jehovah, I have said, is to keep thy words.

Ma part, ô Éternel! je le dis, C'est de garder tes paroles.

58 I have sought thy favour with whole heart: be gracious unto me according to thy word.

Je t'implore de tout mon coeur: Aie pitié de moi, selon ta promesse!

59 I have thought on my ways, and turned my feet unto thy testimonies.

Je réfléchis à mes voies, Et je dirige mes pieds vers tes préceptes.

60 I have made haste, and not delayed, to keep thy commandments.

Je me hâte, je ne diffère point D'observer tes commandements.

61 T he bands of the wicked have wrapped me round: I have not forgotten thy law.

Les pièges des méchants m'environnent; Je n'oublie point ta loi.

62 A t midnight I rise up to give thanks unto thee, because of thy righteous judgments.

Au milieu de la nuit je me lève pour te louer, A cause des jugements de ta justice.

63 I am the companion of all that fear thee, and of them that keep thy precepts.

Je suis l'ami de tous ceux qui te craignent, Et de ceux qui gardent tes ordonnances.

64 T he earth, O Jehovah, is full of thy loving-kindness: teach me thy statutes.

La terre, ô Éternel! est pleine de ta bonté; Enseigne-moi tes statuts!

65 T ETH. Thou hast dealt well with thy servant, O Jehovah, according to thy word.

Tu fais du bien à ton serviteur, O Éternel! selon ta promesse.

66 T each me good discernment and knowledge; for I have believed in thy commandments.

Enseigne-moi le bon sens et l'intelligence! Car je crois à tes commandements.

67 B efore I was afflicted I went astray, but now I keep thy word.

Avant d'avoir été humilié, je m'égarais; Maintenant j'observe ta parole.

68 T hou art good, and doest good; teach me thy statutes.

Tu es bon et bienfaisant; Enseigne-moi tes statuts!

69 T he proud have forged falsehood against me: I will observe thy precepts with whole heart.

Des orgueilleux imaginent contre moi des faussetés; Moi, je garde de tout mon coeur tes ordonnances.

70 T heir heart is as fat as grease: as for me, I delight in thy law.

Leur coeur est insensible comme la graisse; Moi, je fais mes délices de ta loi.

71 I t is good for me that I have been afflicted, that I might learn thy statutes.

Il m'est bon d'être humilié, Afin que j'apprenne tes statuts.

72 T he law of thy mouth is better unto me than thousands of gold and silver.

Mieux vaut pour moi la loi de ta bouche Que mille objets d'or et d'argent.

73 Y OD. Thy hands have made me and fashioned me: give me understanding, and I will learn thy commandments.

Tes mains m'ont créé, elles m'ont formé; Donne-moi l'intelligence, pour que j'apprenne tes commandements!

74 T hey that fear thee will see me, and rejoice; because I have hoped in thy word.

Ceux qui te craignent me voient et se réjouissent, Car j'espère en tes promesses.

75 I know, Jehovah, that thy Judgments are righteousness, and that in faithfulness thou hast afflicted me.

Je sais, ô Éternel! que tes jugements sont justes; C'est par fidélité que tu m'as humilié.

76 O h let thy loving-kindness be for my comfort, according to thy word unto thy servant.

Que ta bonté soit ma consolation, Comme tu l'as promis à ton serviteur!

77 L et thy tender mercies come unto me, that I may live; for thy law is my delight.

Que tes compassions viennent sur moi, pour que je vive! Car ta loi fait mes délices.

78 L et the proud be ashamed; for they have acted perversely towards me with falsehood: as for me, I meditate in thy precepts.

Qu'ils soient confondus, les orgueilleux qui m'oppriment sans cause! Moi, je médite sur tes ordonnances.

79 L et those that fear thee turn unto me, and those that know thy testimonies.

Qu'ils reviennent à moi, ceux qui te craignent, Et ceux qui connaissent tes préceptes!

80 L et my heart be perfect in thy statutes, that I be not ashamed.

Que mon coeur soit sincère dans tes statuts, Afin que je ne sois pas couvert de honte!

81 C APH. My soul fainteth for thy salvation; I hope in thy word.

Mon âme languit après ton salut; J'espère en ta promesse.

82 M ine eyes fail for thy word, saying, When wilt thou comfort me?

Mes yeux languissent après ta promesse; Je dis: Quand me consoleras-tu?

83 F or I am become like a bottle in the smoke; I do not forget thy statutes.

Car je suis comme une outre dans la fumée; Je n'oublie point tes statuts.

84 H ow many shall be the days of thy servant? when wilt thou execute judgment on them that persecute me?

Quel est le nombre des jours de ton serviteur? Quand feras-tu justice de ceux qui me persécutent?

85 T he proud have digged pits for me, which is not according to thy law.

Des orgueilleux creusent des fosses devant moi; Ils n'agissent point selon ta loi.

86 A ll thy commandments are faithfulness. They persecute me wrongfully: help thou me.

Tous tes commandements ne sont que fidélité; Ils me persécutent sans cause: secours-moi!

87 T hey had almost consumed me upon the earth; but as for me, I forsook not thy precepts.

Ils ont failli me terrasser et m'anéantir; Et moi, je n'abandonne point tes ordonnances.

88 Q uicken me according to thy loving-kindness, and I will keep the testimony of thy mouth.

Rends-moi la vie selon ta bonté, Afin que j'observe les préceptes de ta bouche!

89 L AMED. For ever, O Jehovah, thy word is settled in the heavens.

A toujours, ô Éternel! Ta parole subsiste dans les cieux.

90 T hy faithfulness is from generation to generation: thou hast established the earth, and it standeth.

De génération en génération ta fidélité subsiste; Tu as fondé la terre, et elle demeure ferme.

91 B y thine ordinances they stand this day; for all things are thy servants.

C'est d'après tes lois que tout subsiste aujourd'hui, Car toutes choses te sont assujetties.

92 U nless thy law had been my delight, I should then have perished in mine affliction.

Si ta loi n'eût fait mes délices, J'eusse alors péri dans ma misère.

93 I will never forget thy precepts; for by them thou hast quickened me.

Je n'oublierai jamais tes ordonnances, Car c'est par elles que tu me rends la vie.

94 I am thine, save me; for I have sought thy precepts.

Je suis à toi: sauve-moi! Car je recherche tes ordonnances.

95 T he wicked have awaited me to destroy me; I attend unto thy testimonies.

Des méchants m'attendent pour me faire périr; Je suis attentif à tes préceptes.

96 I have seen an end of all perfection: thy commandment is exceeding broad.

Je vois des bornes à tout ce qui est parfait: Tes commandements n'ont point de limite.

97 M EM. Oh how I love thy law! it is my meditation all the day.

Combien j'aime ta loi! Elle est tout le jour l'objet de ma méditation.

98 T hy commandments make me wiser than mine enemies; for they are ever with me.

Tes commandements me rendent plus sage que mes ennemis, Car je les ai toujours avec moi.

99 I have more understanding than all my teachers; for thy testimonies are my meditation.

Je suis plus instruit que tous mes maîtres, Car tes préceptes sont l'objet de ma méditation.

100 I understand more than the aged, because I have observed thy precepts.

J'ai plus d'intelligence que les vieillards, Car j'observe tes ordonnances.

101 I have refrained my feet from every evil path, that I might keep thy word.

Je retiens mon pied loin de tout mauvais chemin, Afin de garder ta parole.

102 I have not departed from thy judgments; for it is thou that hast taught me.

Je ne m'écarte pas de tes lois, Car c'est toi qui m'enseignes.

103 H ow sweet are thy words unto my taste! more than honey to my mouth!

Que tes paroles sont douces à mon palais, Plus que le miel à ma bouche!

104 F rom thy precepts I get understanding; therefore I hate every false path.

Par tes ordonnances je deviens intelligent, Aussi je hais toute voie de mensonge.

105 N UN. Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

Ta parole est une lampe à mes pieds, Et une lumière sur mon sentier.

106 I have sworn, and I will perform it, that I will keep thy righteous judgments.

Je jure, et je le tiendrai, D'observer les lois de ta justice.

107 I am afflicted very much; O Jehovah, quicken me according to thy word.

Je suis bien humilié: Éternel, rends-moi la vie selon ta parole!

108 A ccept, I beseech thee, Jehovah, the voluntary-offerings of my mouth, and teach me thy judgments.

Agrée, ô Éternel! les sentiments que ma bouche exprime, Et enseigne-moi tes lois!

109 M y life is continually in my hand; but I do not forget thy law.

Ma vie est continuellement exposée, Et je n'oublie point ta loi.

110 T he wicked have laid a snare for me; but I have not wandered from thy precepts.

Des méchants me tendent des pièges, Et je ne m'égare pas loin de tes ordonnances.

111 T hy testimonies have I taken as a heritage for ever; for they are the rejoicing of my heart.

Tes préceptes sont pour toujours mon héritage, Car ils sont la joie de mon coeur.

112 I have inclined my heart to perform thy statutes for ever, unto the end.

J'incline mon coeur à pratiquer tes statuts, Toujours, jusqu'à la fin.

113 S AMECH. The double-minded have I hated; but thy law do I love.

Je hais les hommes indécis, Et j'aime ta loi.

114 T hou art my hiding-place and my shield: I hope in thy word.

Tu es mon asile et mon bouclier; J'espère en ta promesse.

115 D epart from me, ye evil-doers; and I will observe the commandments of my God.

Éloignez-vous de moi, méchants, Afin que j'observe les commandements de mon Dieu!

116 U phold me according to thy word, that I may live; and let me not be ashamed of my hope.

Soutiens-moi selon ta promesse, afin que je vive, Et ne me rends point confus dans mon espérance!

117 H old thou me up, and I shall be safe; and I will have respect unto thy statutes continually.

Sois mon appui, pour que je sois sauvé, Et que je m'occupe sans cesse de tes statuts!

118 T hou hast set at nought all them that wander from thy statutes; for their deceit is falsehood.

Tu méprises tous ceux qui s'écartent de tes statuts, Car leur tromperie est sans effet.

119 T hou puttest away all the wicked of the earth dross; therefore I love thy testimonies.

Tu enlèves comme de l'écume tous les méchants de la terre; C'est pourquoi j'aime tes préceptes.

120 M y flesh shuddereth for fear of thee; and I am afraid of thy judgments.

Ma chair frissonne de l'effroi que tu m'inspires, Et je crains tes jugements.

121 A IN. I have done judgment and justice: leave me not to mine oppressors.

J'observe la loi et la justice: Ne m'abandonne pas à mes oppresseurs!

122 B e surety for thy servant for good; let not the proud oppress me.

Prends sous ta garantie le bien de ton serviteur, Ne me laisse pas opprimer par des orgueilleux!

123 M ine eyes fail for thy salvation, and for the word of thy righteousness.

Mes yeux languissent après ton salut, Et après la promesse de ta justice.

124 D eal with thy servant according to thy loving-kindness, and teach me thy statutes.

Agis envers ton serviteur selon ta bonté, Et enseigne-moi tes statuts!

125 I am thy servant; give me understanding that I may know thy testimonies.

Je suis ton serviteur: donne-moi l'intelligence, Pour que je connaisse tes préceptes!

126 I t is time for Jehovah to work: they have made void thy law.

Il est temps que l'Éternel agisse: Ils transgressent ta loi.

127 T herefore I love thy commandments above gold, yea, above fine gold.

C'est pourquoi j'aime tes commandements, Plus que l'or et que l'or fin;

128 T herefore I regard all precepts concerning all things to be right: I hate every false path.

C'est pourquoi je trouve justes toutes tes ordonnances, Je hais toute voie de mensonge.

129 P E. Thy testimonies are wonderful; therefore doth my soul observe them.

Tes préceptes sont admirables: Aussi mon âme les observe.

130 T he entrance of thy words giveth light, giving understanding unto the simple.

La révélation de tes paroles éclaire, Elle donne de l'intelligence aux simples.

131 I opened my mouth wide and panted; for I longed for thy commandments.

J'ouvre la bouche et je soupire, Car je suis avide de tes commandements.

132 T urn unto me, and be gracious unto me, as thou art wont to do unto those that love thy name.

Tourne vers moi ta face, et aie pitié de moi, Selon ta coutume à l'égard de ceux qui aiment ton nom!

133 E stablish my steps in thy word; and let not any iniquity have dominion over me.

Affermis mes pas dans ta parole, Et ne laisse aucune iniquité dominer sur moi!

134 D eliver me from the oppression of man; and I will keep thy precepts.

Délivre-moi de l'oppression des hommes, Afin que je garde tes ordonnances!

135 M ake thy face to shine upon thy servant, and teach me thy statutes.

Fais luire ta face sur ton serviteur, Et enseigne-moi tes statuts!

136 M ine eyes run down with streams of water, because they keep not thy law.

Mes yeux répandent des torrents d'eaux, Parce qu'on n'observe point ta loi.

137 T ZADE. Righteous art thou, Jehovah, and upright are thy judgments.

Tu es juste, ô Éternel! Et tes jugements sont équitables;

138 T hou hast commanded thy testimonies in righteousness and exceeding faithfulness.

Tu fondes tes préceptes sur la justice Et sur la plus grande fidélité.

139 M y zeal destroyeth me, because mine oppressors have forgotten thy words.

Mon zèle me consume, Parce que mes adversaires oublient tes paroles.

140 T hy word is exceeding pure, and thy servant loveth it.

Ta parole est entièrement éprouvée, Et ton serviteur l'aime.

141 I am little and despised: thy precepts have I not forgotten.

Je suis petit et méprisé; Je n'oublie point tes ordonnances.

142 T hy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and thy law is truth.

Ta justice est une justice éternelle, Et ta loi est la vérité.

143 T rouble and anguish have taken hold upon me: thy commandments are my delights.

La détresse et l'angoisse m'atteignent: Tes commandements font mes délices.

144 T he righteousness of thy testimonies is for ever: give me understanding, and I shall live.

Tes préceptes sont éternellement justes: Donne-moi l'intelligence, pour que je vive!

147 I anticipate the morning-dawn and I cry: I hope in thy word.

148 M ine eyes anticipate the night-watches, that I may meditate in thy word.

149 H ear my voice according to thy loving-kindness: O Jehovah, quicken me according to thy judgment.

150 T hey have drawn nigh that follow after mischief: they are far from thy law.

Ils s'approchent, ceux qui poursuivent le crime, Ils s'éloignent de la loi.

151 T hou, Jehovah, art near, and all thy commandments are truth.

Tu es proche, ô Éternel! Et tous tes commandements sont la vérité.

152 F rom thy testimonies, I have known of old that thou hast founded them for ever.

Dès longtemps je sais par tes préceptes Que tu les as établis pour toujours.

153 R ESH. See mine affliction, and deliver me; for I have not forgotten thy law.

Vois ma misère, et délivre-moi! Car je n'oublie point ta loi.

154 P lead my cause, and redeem me: quicken me according to thy word.

Défends ma cause, et rachète-moi; Rends-moi la vie selon ta promesse!

155 S alvation is far from the wicked; for they seek not thy statutes.

Le salut est loin des méchants, Car ils ne recherchent pas tes statuts.

156 M any are thy tender mercies, O Jehovah; quicken me according to thy judgments.

Tes compassions sont grandes, ô Éternel! Rends-moi la vie selon tes jugements!

157 M any are my persecutors and mine oppressors; I have not declined from thy testimonies.

Mes persécuteurs et mes adversaires sont nombreux; Je ne m'écarte point de tes préceptes,

158 I beheld them that deal treacherously, and was grieved; because they kept not thy word.

Je vois avec dégoût des traîtres Qui n'observent pas ta parole.

159 S ee how I have loved thy precepts: quicken me, O Jehovah, according to thy loving-kindness.

160 T he sum of thy word is truth, and every righteous judgment of thine is for ever.

Le fondement de ta parole est la vérité, Et toutes les lois de ta justice sont éternelles.

161 S HIN. Princes have persecuted me without a cause; but my heart standeth in awe of thy word.

Des princes me persécutent sans cause; Mais mon coeur ne tremble qu'à tes paroles.

162 I have joy in thy word, as one that findeth great spoil.

Je me réjouis de ta parole, Comme celui qui trouve un grand butin.

163 I hate and abhor falsehood; thy law do I love.

Je hais, je déteste le mensonge; J'aime ta loi.

164 S even times a day do I praise thee because of thy righteous judgments.

Sept fois le jour je te célèbre, A cause des lois de ta justice.

165 G reat peace have they that love thy law, and nothing doth stumble them.

Il y a beaucoup de paix pour ceux qui aiment ta loi, Et il ne leur arrive aucun malheur.

166 I have hoped for thy salvation, O Jehovah, and have done thy commandments.

J'espère en ton salut, ô Éternel! Et je pratique tes commandements.

167 M y soul hath kept thy testimonies, and I love them exceedingly.

Mon âme observe tes préceptes, Et je les aime beaucoup.

168 I have kept thy precepts and thy testimonies; for all my ways are before thee.

Je garde tes ordonnances et tes préceptes, Car toutes mes voies sont devant toi.

169 T AU. Let my cry come near before thee, Jehovah: give me understanding according to thy word.

Que mon cri parvienne jusqu'à toi, ô Éternel! Donne-moi l'intelligence, selon ta promesse!

170 L et my supplication come before thee: deliver me according to thy word.

Que ma supplication arrive jusqu'à toi! Délivre-moi, selon ta promesse!

171 M y lips shall pour forth praise when thou hast taught me thy statutes.

Que mes lèvres publient ta louange! Car tu m'enseignes tes statuts.

172 M y tongue shall speak aloud of thy word; for all thy commandments are righteousness.

Que ma langue chante ta parole! Car tous tes commandements sont justes.

173 L et thy hand be for my help; for I have chosen thy precepts.

Que ta main me soit en aide! Car j'ai choisi tes ordonnances.

174 I have longed for thy salvation, O Jehovah, and thy law is my delight.

Je soupire après ton salut, ô Éternel! Et ta loi fait mes délices.

175 L et my soul live, and it shall praise thee; and let thy judgments help me.

Que mon âme vive et qu'elle te loue! Et que tes jugements me soutiennent!

176 I have gone astray like a lost sheep: seek thy servant; for I have not forgotten thy commandments.

Je suis errant comme une brebis perdue; cherche ton serviteur, Car je n'oublie point tes commandements.
