1 К огато Господ, твоят Бог, те въведѐ в земята, в която отиваш да я притежаваш, и изгони много народи пред тебе: хетите, гергесейците, аморейците, ханаанците, ферезейците, евейците и йевусейците - седем племена, по-големи и по-силни от теб,

When the Lord thy God shall bring thee into the land whither thou goest to possess it, and hath cast out many nations before thee, the Hittites, and the Girgashites, and the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, seven nations greater and mightier than thou;

2 и когато Господ, твоят Бог, ги предадѐ на теб и ги поразиш, тогава ги унищожѝ, като на Бога обречени; да не сключваш договор с тях, нито да ги пожалиш;

And when the Lord thy God shall deliver them before thee; thou shalt smite them, and utterly destroy them; thou shalt make no covenant with them, nor shew mercy unto them:

3 д а не се жениш между тях и да не даваш дъщеря си на сина му, нито да вземаш неговата дъщеря за своя син;

Neither shalt thou make marriages with them; thy daughter thou shalt not give unto his son, nor his daughter shalt thou take unto thy son.

4 з ащото ще пречат на синовете ти да Ме следват, за да служат на други богове, и така ще пламне против вас гневът на Господа, който скоро ще те изтреби.

For they will turn away thy son from following me, that they may serve other gods: so will the anger of the Lord be kindled against you, and destroy thee suddenly.

5 Н о така да им направите: жертвениците им да разрушите, кумирите им да изпотрошите, а ашерите им да изсечете и изваяните им идоли да изгорите с огън.

But thus shall ye deal with them; ye shall destroy their altars, and break down their images, and cut down their groves, and burn their graven images with fire.

6 П онеже вие сте народ свят на Господа, вашия Бог; вас избра Господ, вашият Бог, да Му бъдете собствен народ измежду всички племена, които са по лицето на земята.

For thou art an holy people unto the Lord thy God: the Lord thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth.

7 Г оспод не ви предпочете, нито ви избра затова, че сте по-многобройни от останалите племена; защото вие сте най-малобройни от всички племена,

The Lord did not set his love upon you, nor choose you, because ye were more in number than any people; for ye were the fewest of all people:

8 н о понеже Господ ви възлюби и за да опази клетвата, с която се е клел на бащите ви, затова Господ ви изведе със силна ръка и ви изкупи от дома на робството, от ръката на египетския цар фараона.

But because the Lord loved you, and because he would keep the oath which he had sworn unto your fathers, hath the Lord brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you out of the house of bondmen, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.

9 И така, да знаеш, че Господ, твоят Бог, е Бог, верният Бог, Който пази до хиляда поколения завета и милостта към онези, които Го обичат и пазят заповедите Му;

Know therefore that the Lord thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations;

10 а на онези, които Го мразят, им въздава в лице и ги погубва, няма да забави наказанието на онзи, който Го мрази, но ще му въздаде.

And repayeth them that hate him to their face, to destroy them: he will not be slack to him that hateth him, he will repay him to his face.

11 З атова пази заповедите, наредбите и законите, които днес ти заповядвам, за да ги вършиш.

Thou shalt therefore keep the commandments, and the statutes, and the judgments, which I command thee this day, to do them.

12 И ако слушате тези закони и ги пазите и изпълнявате, Господ, твоят Бог, ще пази за тебе завета и милостта, за която се е клел на бащите ти;

Wherefore it shall come to pass, if ye hearken to these judgments, and keep, and do them, that the Lord thy God shall keep unto thee the covenant and the mercy which he sware unto thy fathers:

13 и ще те възлюби, ще те благослови и ще те умножи; ще благослови децата ти и плода на земята ти, житото ти, виното ти и маслото ти, и роденото от говедата ти, и малките от овцете ти в земята, за която се е клел на бащите ти да я даде на тебе.

And he will love thee, and bless thee, and multiply thee: he will also bless the fruit of thy womb, and the fruit of thy land, thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep, in the land which he sware unto thy fathers to give thee.

14 Щ е бъдеш благословен повече от всички племена; няма да има бездетен или бездетна между вас или безплодни между добитъка ви.

Thou shalt be blessed above all people: there shall not be male or female barren among you, or among your cattle.

15 Г оспод ще отстрани от тебе всяка болест и няма да докара върху тебе нито една от злите египетски болести, които познаваш, а ще ги наложи върху всички онези, които те мразят.

And the Lord will take away from thee all sickness, and will put none of the evil diseases of Egypt, which thou knowest, upon thee; but will lay them upon all them that hate thee.

16 З атова да изтребиш всички племена, които Господ, твоят Бог, ти предава; окото ти да не ги пожали; и на боговете им да не служиш, защото това ще ти бъде примка.

And thou shalt consume all the people which the Lord thy God shall deliver thee; thine eye shall have no pity upon them: neither shalt thou serve their gods; for that will be a snare unto thee.

17 И ако кажеш в сърцето си: Тези племена са по-многобройни от мене, как ще мога да ги изгоня? -

If thou shalt say in thine heart, These nations are more than I; how can I dispossess them?

18 Д а не се уплашиш от тях; да помниш добре какво направи Господ, твоят Бог, на фараона и на всички египтяни;

Thou shalt not be afraid of them: but shalt well remember what the Lord thy God did unto Pharaoh, and unto all Egypt;

19 г олемите изпитания, които очите ти видяха, знаменията и чудесата, силната ръка и издигнатата мишца, с които Господ, твоят Бог, те изведе. Така ще направи Господ, твоят Бог, на всички племена, от които ти се плашиш.

The great temptations which thine eyes saw, and the signs, and the wonders, and the mighty hand, and the stretched out arm, whereby the Lord thy God brought thee out: so shall the Lord thy God do unto all the people of whom thou art afraid.

20 О ще Господ, твоят Бог, ще изпрати и стършели върху тях, докато бъдат изтребени останалите, които са се скрили от тебе.

Moreover the Lord thy God will send the hornet among them, until they that are left, and hide themselves from thee, be destroyed.

21 Д а не се уплашиш от тях, защото Господ, твоят Бог, е сред тебе, Бог велик и страшен.

Thou shalt not be affrighted at them: for the Lord thy God is among you, a mighty God and terrible.

22 И Господ, твоят Бог, малко по малко ще изгони тези народи пред тебе; не бива да ги изтребваш твърде бързо, иначе дивите зверове около тебе ще се развъдят много.

And the Lord thy God will put out those nations before thee by little and little: thou mayest not consume them at once, lest the beasts of the field increase upon thee.

23 Н о Господ, твоят Бог, ще ти ги предаде и ще ги притеснява много, докато бъдат унищожени.

But the Lord thy God shall deliver them unto thee, and shall destroy them with a mighty destruction, until they be destroyed.

24 Щ е предаде и царете им на теб и ще заличиш името им под небето; никой няма да може да устои пред тебе, докато не ги изтребиш.

And he shall deliver their kings into thine hand, and thou shalt destroy their name from under heaven: there shall no man be able to stand before thee, until thou have destroyed them.

25 К умирите на боговете им изгаряйте с огън; да не пожелаеш да вземеш за себе си среброто или златото, което е върху тях, за да не се впримчиш в него, понеже това е мерзост пред Господа, твоя Бог.

The graven images of their gods shall ye burn with fire: thou shalt not desire the silver or gold that is on them, nor take it unto thee, lest thou be snared therin: for it is an abomination to the Lord thy God.

26 И да не внасяш в дома си никаква мерзост, за да не бъдеш обречеш на унищожение като нея; силно да я мразиш и силно да се отвращаваш от нея, защото е обречена на унищожение.

Neither shalt thou bring an abomination into thine house, lest thou be a cursed thing like it: but thou shalt utterly detest it, and thou shalt utterly abhor it; for it is a cursed thing.
