1 A nd the Lord said to Moses and Aaron,
وَكَلَّمَ اللهُ مُوسَى وَهارُونَ فَقالَ:
2 S ay to the Israelites: These are the animals which you may eat among all the beasts that are on the earth.
«بَيِّنا لِبَنِي إسْرائِيلَ ما هِيَ الحَيواناتُ الَّتِي يُمكِنُهُمْ أنْ يَأكُلُوها مِنْ الحَيواناتِ البَرِّيَّةِ.
3 W hatever parts the hoof and is cloven-footed and chews the cud, any of these animals you may eat.
يُسْمَحُ لَكُمْ أنْ تَأكُلُوا أيَّ حَيوانٍ لَهُ حافِرٌ مَشقُوقٌ وَيَجتَرُّ.
4 N evertheless these you shall not eat of those that chew the cud or divide the hoof: the camel, because it chews the cud but does not divide the hoof; it is unclean to you.
«لَكِنْ لا تَأكُلُوا الحَيواناتِ الَّتِي تَجتَرُّ وَلَيسَ لَها حافِرٌ مَشقُوقٌ. لا تَأكُلُوا الجَمَلَ، فَهُوَ يَجتَرُّ لَكِنْ لَيسَ لَهُ حافِرٌ مَشْقُوقٌ، فَهُوَ نَجِسٌ لَكُمْ.
5 A nd the coney or rock badger, because it chews the cud but does not divide the hoof; it is unclean to you.
لا تَأكُلُوا الغَرِيرَ فَهُوَ يَجتَرُّ لَكِنْ لَيسَ لَهُ حافِرٌ مَشْقُوقٌ، فَهُوَ نَجِسٌ لَكُمْ.
6 A nd the hare, because it chews the cud but does not divide the hoof; it is unclean to you.
لا تَأكُلُوا الأرنَبَ، فَهُوَ يَجتَرُّ، لَكِنْ لَيسَ لَهُ حافِرٌ مَشْقُوقٌ، فَهُوَ نَجِسٌ لَكُمْ.
7 A nd the swine, because it divides the hoof and is cloven-footed but does not chew the cud; it is unclean to you.
لا تَأكُلُوا الخِنزِيرَ، إذْ لَهُ حافِرٌ مَشقُوقٌ، لَكِنَّهُ لا يَجتَرُّ، فَهُوَ نَجِسٌ لَكُمْ.
8 O f their flesh you shall not eat, and their carcasses you shall not touch; they are unclean to you.
لا تَأكُلُوا مِنْ لَحمِ هَذِهِ الحَيَواناتِ وَلا تَلمِسُوا جُثَثَها، فَهِيَ نَجِسَةٌ لَكُمْ. الحَيواناتُ البحريّة
9 T hese you may eat of all that are in the waters: whatever has fins and scales in the waters, in the seas, and in the rivers, these you may eat;
«وَمِنَ الحَيواناتِ البَحرِيَّةِ تَأكُلُونَ كُلَّ شَيءٍ يَعِيشُ فِي الماءِ – فِي البِحارِ أوِ الأنهارِ – وَلَهُ زَعانِفُ وَحَراشِفُ.
10 B ut all that have not fins and scales in the seas and in the rivers, of all the creeping things in the waters, and of all the living creatures which are in the waters, they are an abomination and abhorrence to you.
أمّا ما يَعِيشُ فِي البِحارِ أوِ الأنهارِ وَلَيسَتْ لَهُ زَعانِفُ وَحَراشِفُ مِنْ كُلِّ الكائِناتِ الَّتِي تَزحَفُ فِي الماءِ أوِ الكائِناتِ المائِيَّةِ الأُخرَى، فَمُحَرَّمٌ عَلَيْكُمْ،
11 T hey shall continue to be an abomination to you; you shall not eat of their flesh, but you shall detest their carcasses.
وَسَيبقَى مُحَرَّماً. فَلا تَأكُلُوا لَحمَها وَلا تَلمِسُوا جُثَثَها كَي لا تَتَنَجَّسُوا.
12 E verything in the waters that has not fins or scales shall be abhorrent and detestable to you.
كُلُّ كائِنٍ فِي الماءِ لَيسَتْ لَهُ زَعانِفُ وَحَراشِفُ يَكُونُ مُحَرَّماً. الطُّيُور
13 T hese you shall have in abomination among the birds; they shall not be eaten, for they are detestable: the eagle, the ossifrage, the ospray,
«وَتَمقُتُونَ الطُّيُورَ التّالِيَةَ فَلا تَأكُلُوها لأنَّها نَجِسَةٌ: النَّسرَ وَالأنُوقَ وَالعُقابَ،
14 T he kite, the whole species of falcon,
وَالحِدَأةَ وَكُلَّ أنواعِ الصُّقُورِ،
15 E very kind of raven,
وَكُلَّ أنواعِ الغِربانِ،
16 T he ostrich, the nighthawk, the sea gull, every species of hawk,
وَالنَّعامَةَ وَالخُطّافَ وَالنَّورَسَ وَكُلَّ أنواعِ البازِ،
17 T he owl, the cormorant, the ibis,
وَالبُومَ وَالغَوّاصَ وَالكُرْكِيَّ،
18 T he swan, the pelican, the vulture,
وَالبَجَعَ وَالقُوقَ وَالرَّخَمَ،
19 T he stork, all kinds of heron, the hoopoe, and the bat.
وَاللَّقلَقَ وَمالِكِ الحَزِينِ بِأنْواعِهِ وَالهُدهُدَ وَالخَفّاشَ. الحَشَرات
20 A ll winged insects that go upon all fours are to be an abomination to you;
«لا تَأكُلُوا كُلَّ حَشَرَةٍ لَها أجنِحَةٌ وَتَسِيرُ عَلَى أربَعِ.
21 Y et of all winged insects that go upon all fours you may eat those which have legs above their feet with which to leap on the ground.
وَلَكِنْ تَأكُلُونَ الحَشَراتِ الَّتِي لَها أجنِحَةٌ وَتَسِيرُ عَلَى أربَعِ فَقَطْ إنْ كانَ لِسِيقانِها مَفاصِلُ فَوقَ رِجلَيها لِتَقفِزَ بِهِما عَلَى الأرْضِ.
22 O f these you may eat: the whole species of locust, of bald locust, of cricket, and of grasshopper.
فَتَأكُلُونَ كُلَّ أنواعِ الجَرادِ وَكُلَّ أنواعِ الدَّبا وَكُلَّ أنواعِ الحَرْجُوانِ وَكُلَّ أنواعِ الجَنادِبِ.
23 B ut all other winged insects which have four feet shall be detestable to you.
«وَأمّا الحَشَراتُ الَّتِي لَها أجنِحَةٌ وَتَسِيرُ عَلَى أربَعِ، فامْتَنِعُوا عَنْها.
24 A nd by these you shall become unclean; whoever touches the carcass of them shall be unclean until the evening,
هَذِهِ الكائِناتُ تُنَجِّسُكُمْ. فَكُلُّ مَنْ يَلمِسُ جُثَثَها يَكُونُ نَجِساً إلَى المَساءِ.
25 A nd whoever carries any part of their carcass shall wash his clothes and be unclean until the evening.
وَكُلُّ مَنْ يَحمِلُ جُزءاً مِنْ جُثَثِها، فَلِيَغْسِلْ ثِيابَهُ. وَسَيَبقَى نَجِساً إلَى المَساءِ. المزيدُ عَنِ الحيوانات
26 E very beast which parts the hoof but is not cloven-footed or does not chew the cud is unclean to you; everyone who touches them shall be unclean.
«كُلُّ حَيوانٍ لَهُ حافِرٌ غَيرُ مَشقُوقٍ، أوْ لا يَجتَرُّ، هُوَ نَجِسٌ لَكُمْ، وَكُلُّ مَنْ يَلمِسُهُ يَصِيرُ نَجِساً.
27 A nd all that go on their paws, among all kinds of four-footed beasts, are unclean to you; whoever touches their carcass shall be unclean until the evening,
كَذَلِكَ كُلُّ مَنْ يَمْشِي عَلَى خُفٍّ مِنَ الحَيواناتِ الَّتِي تَمْشِي عَلَى أربَعَ، فَهُوَ نَجِسٌ لَكُمْ، وَكُلُّ مَنْ يَلمِسُها يَصِيرُ نَجِساً إلَى المَساءِ.
28 A nd he who carries their carcass shall wash his clothes and be unclean until the evening; they are unclean to you.
وَكُلُّ مَنْ يَحمِلُ جُثَثَها، لِيَغْسِلْ ثِيابَهُ. وَسَيَبقَى نَجِساً إلَى المَساءِ. إنَّها نَجِسَةٌ لَكُمْ. الحَيواناتُ الزّاحِفَة
29 T hese also are unclean to you among the creeping things and creep upon the ground: the weasel, the mouse, any kind of great lizard,
«وَالحَيواناتُ الزّاحِفَةُ الَّتِي تَزحَفُ عَلَى الأرْضِ نَجِسَةٌ لَكُمْ: الخُلْدُ وَالفَأْرُ وَكُلُّ أنواعِ السَّحالِي الكَبيرَةُ،
30 T he gecko, the land crocodile, the lizard, the sand lizard, and the chameleon.
وَالحَرذُونُ وَالتِمْساحَ وَالعَضاءَةُ وَسِحلِيَّةُ الرَّملِ وَالحِرباءُ.
31 T hese are unclean to you among all that creep; whoever touches them when they are dead shall be unclean until the evening.
هَذِهِ الحَيواناتُ الزّاحِفَةُ نَجِسَةٌ لَكُمْ، وَكُلُّ مَنْ يَلمِسُ جُثَثَها يَكُونُ نَجِساً إلَى المَساءِ. احكامٌ تَتَعلّق بالحيوانات النّجسة
32 A nd upon whatever they may fall when they are dead, it shall be unclean, whether it is an article of wood or clothing or skin (bottle) or sack, any vessel in which work is done; it must be put in water, and it shall be unclean until the evening; so it shall be cleansed.
«إنْ وَقَعَ أيٌّ مِنَ الحَيواناتِ النَّجِسَةِ المَيِّتَةِ عَلَى شَيءٍ، فَإنَّهُ يَكُونُ نَجِساً. أيِّ وِعاءٍ خَشَبِيٍّ أوْ ثِيابٍ أوْ جِلْدٍ أوْ قُماشٍ مِنْ شَعرِ الماعِزِ أوْ أيَّةِ أداةٍ تُستَخدَمُ لِأيِّ غَرَضٍ تُوضَعُ فِي الماءِ، وَسَتَبقَى نَجِسَةً إلَى المَساءِ حَيثُ تُصبِحُ طاهِرَةً.
33 A nd every earthen vessel into which any of these falls, whatever may be in it shall be unclean, and you shall break the vessel.
إنْ سَقَطَ أيٌّ مِنْها فِي وِعاءٍ خَزَفِيٍّ، فَإنَّ أيَّ شَيءٍ فِي الوِعاءِ يُصبِحُ نَجِساً. فاكْسِرِ الوِعاءَ.
34 O f all the food which may be eaten, that on which such water comes shall be unclean, and all drink that may be drunk from every such vessel shall be unclean.
إنِ انْسَكَبَ ماءٌ مِنْ وِعاءٍ نَجِسٍ عَلَى أيِّ طَعامٍ طاهِرٍ فَإنَّهُ يَصِيرُ نَجِساً. وَكُلُّ شَرابٍ يُوضَعُ فِي وِعاءٍ نَجِسٍ، يَصِيرُ نَجِساً.
35 A nd everything upon which any part of their carcass falls shall be unclean; whether an oven, or pan with a lid, or hearth for pots, it shall be broken in pieces; they are unclean, and shall be unclean to you.
وَإنْ سَقَطَ أيُّ جُزءٍ مِنْ جُثَثِها عَلَى أيِّ شَيءٍ، فَإنَّهُ يَصِيرُ نَجِساً. فَإنْ وَقَعَ عَلَى تَنُّورٍ أوْ فُرنٍ، يَنبَغِي أنْ يُهدَمَ. كُلُّ هَذِهِ الأشْياءِ تَصيرُ نَجِسَةً، وَتَبقَى نَجِسَةً.
36 Y et a spring or a cistern or reservoir of water shall be clean; but whoever touches their carcass shall be unclean.
«وَأمّا النَّبعُ أوِ البِئْرُ اللَّذانِ يَجمَعانِ الماءَ فَيَبقَيانِ طاهِرَينِ، لَكِنْ كُلُّ شَخصٍ يَلمِسُ الجُثَثَ السَّاقِطَةَ فِي الماءِ يَصِيرُ نَجِساً.
37 I f a part of their carcass falls on seed which is to be sown, it shall be clean;
وَإنْ وَقَعَ مِنْ جُثَثِها عَلَى بُذُورٍ لِلزِراعَةِ فَإنَّها تَبقَى طاهِرَةً.
38 B ut if any water be put on the seed and any part of their carcass falls on it, it shall be unclean to you.
لَكِنْ إنْ كانَ عَلَى البُذُورِ ماءٌ، وَسَقَطَ عَلَيها أيُّ جُزءٍ مِنْ جُثَثِها، فَإنَّ البُذُورَ تُصبِحُ نَجِسَةً.
39 I f any animal of which you may eat dies, he who touches its carcass shall be unclean until the evening.
«وَإنْ ماتَ حَيوانٌ مِنَ الحَيواناتِ الَّتِي تَأكُلُونَها، فَمَنْ يَلمِسُ جُثَّتَهُ يَكُونُ نَجِساً إلَى المَساءِ.
40 A nd he who eats of its carcass shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the evening; he also who carries its carcass shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the evening.
كُلُّ مَنْ يَأكُلُ مِنْ جُثَّتِهِ، فَليَغْسِلْ ثِيابَهُ. وَسَيَكُونُ نَجِساً إلَى المَساءِ. وَكَذَلِكَ كُلُّ مَنْ يَحمِلُهُ، فَليَغْسِلْ ثِيابَهُ. وَسَيَكُونُ نَجِساً إلَى المَساءِ.
41 A nd everything that creeps on the ground and swarms shall be an abomination; it shall not be eaten.
«كُلُّ كائِنٍ يَزحَفُ عَلَى الأرْضِ مَكْرُوهٌ فَلا تَأكُلُوهُ.
42 W hatever goes on its belly, and whatever goes on all fours, or whatever has more feet among all things that creep on the ground and swarm you shall not eat; for they are detestable.
لا تَأكُلُوا أيَّ كائِنٍ يَزحَفُ عَلَى الأرْضِ عَلَى بَطنِهِ أمْ عَلَى أربَعِ أمْ عَلَى أقدامٍ كَثِيرَةٍ، فَإنَّهُ مَكرُوهٌ.
43 Y ou shall not make yourselves loathsome and abominable any swarming thing that swarms, neither shall you make yourselves unclean with them, that you should be defiled by them.
لا تُدَنِّسُوا أنفُسَكُمْ بِأيِّ حَيوانٍ زاحِفٍ. لا تُنَجِّسُوا أنفُسَكُمْ بِها فَتَصِيرُوا نَجِسِينَ.
44 F or I am the Lord your God; so consecrate yourselves and be holy, for I am holy; neither defile yourselves with any manner of thing that multiplies in large numbers or swarms.
لِأنِّي أنا إلَهُكُمْ. احفَظُوا أنفُسَكُمْ مُقَدَّسِينَ لِأنِّي أنا قُدُّوسٌ. فَلا تُنَجِّسُوا أنفُسَكُمْ بِالحَيواناتِ الزّاحِفَةِ.
45 F or I am the Lord Who brought you up out of the land of Egypt to be your God; therefore you shall be holy, for I am holy.
لِأنِّي أنا اللهُ الَّذِي أخرَجَكُمْ مِنْ أرْضِ مِصْرَ لِأكُونَ إلَهَكُمْ. كُونُوا مُقَدَّسِينَ، لِأنِّي أنا قُدُّوسٌ.»
46 T his is the law of the beast, and of the bird, and of every living creature that moves in the waters, and creeps on the earth and multiplies in large numbers,
هَذِهِ هِيَ الشَّرائِعُ المُتَعَلِّقَةُ بِالحَيواناتِ البَرِّيَة وَالطُّيُورِ وَالكائِناتِ البَحرِيَّةِ وَالحَيواناتُ الزّاحِفَةُ.
47 T o make a difference (a distinction) between the unclean and the clean, and between the animal that may be eaten and the animal that may not be eaten.
وَذَلِكَ لِكَي يُمَيِّزَ الشَّعْبُ بَينَ النَّجِسِ وَالطّاهِرِ مِنَ الحَيواناتِ، وَما يُمكِنُ أكلُهُ مِنْها وَما لا يُمكِنُ أكلُهُ.
