1 G od stands in the assembly of God; in the midst of the magistrates or judges He gives judgment among the gods.

وَقَفَ اللهُ قاضِياً بَينَ المَلائِكَةِ فِي المَجمَعِ الإلَهِيِّ.

2 H ow long will you judge unjustly and show partiality to the wicked? Selah!

«حَتَّى مَتَى تُحَرِّفُونَ العَدالَةَ؟ حَتَّى مَتَى لا تُحاسِبُونَ الأشرارَ؟» سِلاهْ

3 D o justice to the weak (poor) and fatherless; maintain the rights of the afflicted and needy.

«احكُمُوا بِالإنصافِ لِليَتامَى وَالضُّعَفاءِ. دافِعُوا عَنِ المُعْدَمِينَ وَالبُؤَساءِ.

4 D eliver the poor and needy; rescue them out of the hand of the wicked.

أنقِذُوا المَساكِينَ وَالعاجِزِينَ! خَلِّصُوهُمْ مِنَ الأشرارِ!

5 k now not, neither will they understand; they walk on in the darkness; all the foundations of the earth are shaking.

«لَيسَ عِندَهُمْ عِلمٌ وَلا فَهْمٌ. فِي الظُّلمَةِ يَمشُونَ وَالعالَمُ حَولَهُمْ يَتَهاوَى!

6 I said, You are gods; indeed, all of you are children of the Most High.

أنا قُلْتُ إنَّكُمْ آلِهَةٌ. كُلُّكُمْ أبناءُ العَلِيِّ.

7 B ut you shall die as men and fall as one of the princes.

لَكِنَّكُمْ كُلَّكُمْ سَتَمُوتُونَ كَبَقِيَّةِ البَشَرِ. وَسَتَسقُطُونَ كُلُّكُمْ كَما سَقَطَ الحُكّامُ السّابِقُونَ.»

8 A rise, O God, judge the earth! For to You belong all the nations.

قُمْ يا اللهُ وَاحْكُمْ عَلَى الأرْضِ، فَكُلُّ الأُمَمِ هِيَ لَكَ! نَشِيدٌ. مَزمُورٌ لآساف.
