1 T he word of the Lord came again to me, saying,

وَأتَتْ إلَيَّ كَلِمَةُ اللهِ:

2 S on of man, prophesy and say, Thus says the Lord God: Wail, Alas for the day!

«يا إنْسانُ، تَنَبَّأ وَقُلْ: ‹هَذا هُوَ ما يَقُولُهُ الرَّبُّ الإلَهُ: «‹الوَيلُ مِنْ ذَلِكَ اليَومِ!

3 F or the day is near, even the day of the Lord is near, a cloudy day; it shall be the time for the nations.

لأنَّ اليَومَ قَرِيبٌ! يُومُ دَينُونَةٍ مِنَ اللهِ قَرِيبٌ! إنَّهُ يَومٌ مُلَبَّدٌ بِالغُيُومِ الكَئِيبَةِ! سَيَكُونُ يَومَ دَينُونَةٍ لِلأُمَمِ!

4 A nd a sword shall come upon Egypt, and anguish and great sorrow shall be in Ethiopia (Cush), when the slain fall in Egypt and they carry away her great mass of people and of things and her foundations are broken down.

سَيَأتِي سَيفُ الأُمَمِ ضِدَّ مِصرَ، فَيَملأُ الألَمُ كُوشَ، وَسَتَسقُطُ جُثَثٌ فِي مِصرَ، حِينَ يُؤخَذُ شَعبُ الأرْضِ أسرَى، وَحِينَ تُدَمَّرُ أساساتُ مِصْرَ.

5 E thiopia (Cush) and Put, Lud and all the mingled people, Cub (Lub, Libya) and the children of the land of the covenant shall fall with by the sword.

«‹سَتَسقُطُ كُوشُ وَفُوطُ وَلُودُ وَكُلُّ العَرَبِ وَكُوبُ وَحُلَفاؤُها الآخَرُونَ بِالسَّيفِ.

6 T hus says the Lord: They also who uphold or lean upon and are supported by Egypt shall fall, and the pride of her power shall come down; from Migdol to Syene they shall fall within her by the sword, says the Lord God.

«‹هَذا هُوَ ما يَقُولُهُ اللهُ: «سَتَسقُطُ الدُّوَلُ الَّتِي تَدعَمُ مِصرَ، وَسَتَأتِي الحَربُ عَلَى كُلِّ مُدُنِها القَوِيَّةِ وَالمُتَكَبِّرَةِ، مِنْ مَجْدَلَ إلَى أسْوانَ يَقُولُ الرّبُّ الإلَهُ.

7 A nd they shall be desolated in the midst of countries that are desolated, and her cities shall be in the midst of cities that are wasted.

سَتَكُونُ هَذِهِ البِلادُ هِيَ الأكثَرَ خَراباً فِي الأرْضِ، وَسَتَكُونُ مُدُنُها الأكثَرَ خَراباً بَينَ المُدُنِ.

8 A nd they shall know (understand and realize) that I am the Lord, when I have set a fire in Egypt and all her helpers are broken and destroyed.

حِينَئِذٍ، سَأُشعِلُ النّارَ فِي مِصرَ، وَأكسِرُ كُلَّ مُعِينِيها، حِينَئِذٍ، سَيَعرِفُونَ أنِّي أنا اللهُ.»

9 I n that day shall messengers go forth from Me in ships to terrify the careless and unsuspecting Ethiopians, and there shall be anguish and great sorrow upon them as in the day of Egypt’s, for behold, comes!

«‹فِي ذَلِكَ الوَقتِ، سَيَخرُجُ رُسُلٌ مِنِّي فِي القَوارِبِ لإيصالِ الأخبارِ السَيِّئَةِ الَّتِي سَتُرعِب كُوشَ وَسَتُفقِدُها الأمانِ. سَيُسَيطِرُ الخَوفُ عَليهِمْ فِي يَومِ تَنفِيذِ الدَّينُونَةِ ضِدَّ مِصرَ، لأنَّ ذَلِكَ الوَقتُ آتٍ.›»

10 T hus says the Lord God: I will also make the tumult and the wealth and the large population of Egypt to cease by the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon.

هَذا هُوَ ما يَقُولُهُ الرَّبُّ الإلَهُ: «سَأستَخدِمُ نَبُوخَذْناصَّرَ، مَلِكَ بابِلَ، فِي القَضاءِ عَلَى جُيُوشِ مِصرَ.

11 H e and his people with him, the terrible of the nations, shall be brought in to destroy the land, and they shall draw their swords against Egypt and fill the land with the slain.

سَأُحضِرُهُ هُوَ وَجَيْشُهُ، أُمَّةً قاسِيَةً عَنِيفَةً، إلَى مِصرَ لِتَدمِيرِ أرْضِها وَتَخرِيبِها. سَيَسفِكُونَ بِسُيُوفِهِمْ دَمَ مِصرِيِّينَ كَثِيرِينَ، وَسَيَملأُونَ الأرْضَ بِالجُثَثِ.

12 A nd I will make the streams dry and will sell the land into the hand of evil men, and I will make the land desolate, and all that is in it, by the hand of strangers. I the Lord have spoken it.

سَأُجَفِّفُ قَنَواتِ مِصرَ، وَسَأبِيعُ شَعبَهُمْ عَبِيداً لِشَعبٍ قاسٍ، وَسَأستَخدِمُ الغُرَباءَ لِتَخرِيبِ الأرْضِ وَكُلِّ ما فِيها. أنا اللهُ تَكَلَّمْتُ بِهَذِهِ الأُمُورِ، وَسَأفعَلُها.» تَحطِيمُ أصنامِ مِصر

13 T hus says the Lord God: I will also destroy the idols and I will put an end to the images in Noph or Memphis, and there shall be no longer a prince of the land of Egypt. And I will put fear in the land of Egypt.

هَذا هُوَ ما يَقُولُهُ الرَّبُّ الإلَهُ: «سَأُزِيلُ أصنامَهُمُ القَذِرَةِ، وَسَأمحُو الآلِهَةَ المُزَيَّفَةَ مِنْ نُوفَ. لَنْ يَعُودَ لِمِصْرَ قائِدٌ مِصرِيٌّ، وَسَأضَعُ الخَوفَ فِي أرْضِ مِصرَ.

14 A nd I will make Pathros desolate and will set fire to Zoan and will execute judgments and punishments upon No or Thebes.

سَأُدَمِّرُ فَتْرُوسَ وَأُشعِلُ النّارَ فِي صُوعَنَ، وَأُعاقِبُ نُوَ.

15 A nd I will pour My wrath upon Pelusium, the stronghold of Egypt, and I will cut off the tumult, the prosperity and the population of No or Thebes.

سَأسكُبُ غَضَبِي عَلَى سِينَ، قَلعَةِ مِصرَ، وَأُهلِكُ جُيُوشَ نُوَ.

16 A nd I will set fire to Egypt; Pelusium shall have great anguish and No or Thebes shall be torn open and Noph or Memphis shall have adversaries in the daytime and all the day long.

سَأشعِلُ النّارَ فِي مِصْرَ، فَتَرتَجِفَ سِينُ خَوفاً، وَتُهدَمَ أسوارُ نُو، أمّا نُوفُ فَسَيُهاجِمُها الأعداءُ كُلَّ يَومٍ.

17 T he young men of Aven or On and of Pibeseth shall fall by the sword, and the shall go into captivity.

جُنُودُ آوَنَ وَفِيبِسْتَةَ المُختارُونَ سَيَسقُطُونَ بِالسَّيفِ، وَالنِّساءُ سَيُؤخَذْنَ سَبايا.

18 A t Tehaphnehes also the day shall withdraw itself and be dark when I break there the yokes and dominion of Egypt, and the pride of her power shall come to an end. As for her, a cloud shall cover her and her daughters shall go into captivity.

وَفِي تَحْفَنْحِيسَ، سَيَحجُبُ النَّهارُ نُورَهُ، حِينَ أكسِرُ قُوَّةَ مِصرَ. سَتَنْتَهِي قُوَّةُ مِصرَ، وَتُغَطِّيها غُيُومٌ مُظلِمَةٌ، وَتُسبَى مُدُنُها.

19 T hus will I execute judgments and punishments upon Egypt. Then shall they know (understand and realize) that I am the Lord.

فَسَأُعاقِبُ مِصرَ، حِينَئِذٍ، سَيَعرِفُونَ أنِّي أنا اللهُ.» ضَعفُ مِصرَ الأبَدِي

20 A nd in the eleventh year, in the first month, on the seventh day of the month, the word of the Lord came to me, saying,

فِي اليَومِ السّابِعِ مِنَ الشَّهرِ الأوَّلِ فِي السَّنَةِ الحادِيَةَ عَشْرَةَ لِسَبيِنا، أتَتْ كَلِمَةُ اللهِ إلَيَّ:

21 S on of man, I have broken the arm of Pharaoh king of Egypt, and behold, it has not been bound up to heal it by binding it with a bandage, to make it strong to hold and wield the sword.

«يا إنْسانُ، كَسَرتُ ذِراعَ قُوَّةِ فِرعَوْنَ مَلِكِ مِصرَ، وَلَمْ تُربَطْ لِتُشفَى. لَمْ يَربُطها أحَدٌ بِضَمّاداتٍ لِتَقوِيَتِها لِتَستَطِيعَ الإمْساكَ بِالسَّيْفِ!»

22 T herefore thus says the Lord God: Behold, I am against Pharaoh king of Egypt and will break his arms, both the strong one and the one which was broken, and I will cause the sword to fall from his hand.

لِهَذا يَقُولُ الرَّبُّ الإلَهُ: «أنا ضِدُّكَ يا فِرْعَوْنُ، يا مَلِكَ مِصرَ، وَسَأكسِرُ يَدَيكَ السَّلِيمَةَ وَالمَكسُورَةَ أصلاً. سَأُوقِعُ السَّيفَ مِنْ يَدِكَ.

23 A nd I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations and will disperse them throughout the countries.

حِينَئِذٍ، سَأُشتِّتُ سُكّانَ مِصرَ بَينَ الأُمَمِ، وَسَأُبَعثِرُهُمْ فِي بِلادٍ غَرِيبَةٍ.

24 A nd I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon and put My sword in his hand, but I will break Pharaoh’s arms and he will groan before with the groanings of a mortally wounded man.

وَسَأُقَوِّي ذِراعَ مَلِكِ بابِلَ، وَسَأضَعُ سَيفِي فِي يَدِهِ. وَسأكسِرُ ذِراعَ فِرْعَوْنَ، فَيُطلِقَ أنّاتِ رَجُلٍ مُحتَضِرٍ.

25 B ut I will strengthen and hold up the arms of the king of Babylon and the arms of Pharaoh shall fall down, and they shall know (understand and realize) that I am the Lord, when I put My sword into the hand of the king of Babylon and he shall stretch it out upon the land of Egypt.

وَسَأُقَوِّي ذِراعَ مَلِكِ بابِلَ، أمّا ذِراعُ فِرْعَوْنَ فَسَتَنهارُ. «سَأضَعُ سَيفِي فِي يَدِ مَلِكِ بابِلَ، وَهُوَ سَيَرفَعُهُ عَلَى أرْضِ مِصرَ. حِينَئِذٍ، يَعلَمُونَ أنِّي أنا اللهُ.

26 A nd I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations and disperse them through the countries, and they shall know (understand and realize) that I am the Lord.

أجَلْ! حِينَ أُبَعثِرُ سُكّانَ مِصرَ وَسَطَ الأُمَمِ، وَأُشَتِّتهُمْ وَسَطَ البِلادِ الأُخرَى. حِينَئِذٍ، يَعلَمُونَ أنِّي أنا اللهُ.»
