1 A scribe to the Lord, O sons of the mighty, ascribe to the Lord glory and strength.

سَبِّحُوا اللهَ يا أبناءَهُ. كَرِّمُوهُ وَتَغَنُّوا بِقُوَّتِهِ!

2 G ive to the Lord the glory due to His name; worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness or in holy array.

أعطُوا للهِ التَّسبِيحَ اللّائِقَ بِاسْمِهِ المَجِيدِ! اعبُدُوا اللهَ بِقَداسَةٍ مَجِيدَةٍ.

3 T he voice of the Lord is upon the waters; the God of glory thunders; the Lord is upon many (great) waters.

يُرعِدُ اللهُ بِصَوْتِهِ فَوْقَ المُحِيطِ. يُرعِدُ الإلَهُ المَجِيدُ وَيَتَرَدَّدُ صَدَى صَوْتِهِ فَوْقَ المُحِيطِ.

4 T he voice of the Lord is powerful; the voice of the Lord is full of majesty.

صَوْتُ اللهِ قَوِيٌّ، صَوْتُ اللهِ جَلِيلٌ وَمَهِيبٌ.

5 T he voice of the Lord breaks the cedars; yes, the Lord breaks in pieces the cedars of Lebanon.

صَوْتُ اللهِ المُرْعِدُ يُحَطِّمُ أشْجارَ الأرْزِ. يُحَطِّمُ اللهُ أرْزَ لُبْنانَ.

6 H e makes them also to skip like a calf; Lebanon and Sirion (Mount Hermon) like a young, wild ox.

يَجعَلُ جِبالَ لُبْنانَ تَقفِزُ كَالعُجُولِ، وَجَبَلَ حَرْمُونَ كَالثَّوْرِ.

7 T he voice of the Lord splits and flashes forth forked lightning.

يُطلِقُ صَوْتُ اللهِ وَمِيضَ البَرْقِ.

8 T he voice of the Lord makes the wilderness tremble; the Lord shakes the Wilderness of Kadesh.

صَوْتُ اللهِ يَجعَلُ الصَّحراءَ تَرتَجِفُ. يَجعَلُ صَحراءَ قادِشَ تَرتَعِدُ.

9 T he voice of the Lord makes the hinds bring forth their young, and His voice strips bare the forests, while in His temple everyone is saying, Glory!

صَوْتُ اللهِ يَهُزُّ أشجارَ البَلُّوطِ، وَيُعَرِّي أشجارَ الغابَةِ. أمّا فِي هَيكَلِهِ فَيَهتِفُ الجَمِيعُ: «مَجداً!»

10 T he Lord sat as King over the deluge; the Lord sits as King forever!

أثناءَ الطُّوفانِ، جَلَسَ اللهُ مَلِكاً، وَسَيَملُكُ إلَى الأبَدِ.

11 T he Lord will give strength to His people; the Lord will bless His people with peace.

لَيْتَ اللهَ يُقَوِّي شَعبَهُ! لَيْتَهُ يُبارِكُهُمْ بِالسَّلامِ.
