1 K eep not silence, O God; hold not Your peace or be still, O God.

لا تَبْقَ صامِتاً يا اللهُ، لا تَهدأْ وَلا تَسكُتْ يا اللهُ.

2 F or, behold, Your enemies are in tumult, and those who hate You have raised their heads.

أعداؤُكَ الَّذِينَ يُبغِضُونَكَ مُتَغَطرِسُونَ، يُقَعْقِعُونَ بِسُيُوفِهِمْ.

3 T hey lay crafty schemes against Your people and consult together against Your hidden and precious ones.

يَجتَمِعُونَ مَعاً وَيُخَطِّطُونَ لِمُحارَبَةِ شَعبِكَ الغالِي.

4 T hey have said, Come, and let us wipe them out as a nation; let the name of Israel be in remembrance no more.

يَقُولُونَ: «لِنَمسَحْهُمْ مِنْ عَلَى وَجهِ الأرْضِ، فَلا يَتَذَكَّرَ أحَدٌ فِيما بَعْدُ اسْمَ إسْرائِيلَ.»

5 F or they have consulted together with one accord and one heart; against You they make a covenant—

تَآمَرَ هَؤُلاءِ صَفّاً واحِداً، وَتَعاهَدُوا ضِدَّكَ.

6 T he tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites, of Moab and the Hagrites,

وَهُمْ قَبائِلُ أدُومَ وَالإسْماعِيلِيِّينَ وَالمُوآبِيِّينَ وَالهاجَرِيِّينَ

7 G ebal and Ammon and Amalek, the Philistines, with the inhabitants of Tyre.

وَسُكّانُ جُبِيلَ وَالعَمُّونِيُّونَ وَعَمالِيقُ وَالفَلَسطِيِّونَ وَسُكّانُ صُورَ.

8 A ssyria also has joined with them; they have helped the children of Lot and have been an arm to them. Selah!

حَتَّى أشُّورُ انضَمَّ إلَيْهِمْ، وَصارَ ذِراعاً لِنَسلِ لُوطَ! سِلاهْ

9 D o to them as the Midianites, as to Sisera and Jabin at the brook of Kishon,

افعَلْ بِهِمْ كَما فَعَلْتَ بِمِدْيانَ وَسِيسَرا وَيابِينَ عِندَ وادِي قِيشُونَ.

10 W ho perished at Endor, who became like manure for the earth.

قُتِلُوا فِي عَينِ دُورٍ، وَتَعَفَّنَتْ عَلَى الأرْضِ جُثَثُهُمْ.

11 M ake their nobles like Oreb and Zeeb, yes, all their princes as Zebah and Zalmunna,

افعَلْ بِقادَتِهِمْ كَما فَعلتَ بِغُرابٍ وَذِئْبٍ، افعَلْ بِقادَتِهِمْ كَما فَعَلْتَ بِزَبَحَ وَصَلْمُنّاعَ.

12 W ho say, Let us take possession for ourselves of the pastures of God.

قالَ هَؤُلاءِ: «لِنَستَولِ عَلَى شَعبِ اللهِ.»

13 O my God, make them like whirling dust, like stubble or chaff before the wind!

اعصِفْ بِهِمْ يا إلَهِي كَما تَعصِفُ الرِّيحُ بِغُبارِ القَمْحِ وَالقَشِّ.

14 A s fire consumes the forest, and as the flame sets the mountains ablaze,

كَنْ كَنارٍ فِي غابَةٍ، كَحَرِيقٍ هائِلٍ يَلتَهِمُ التِّلالَ.

15 S o pursue and afflict them with Your tempest and terrify them with Your tornado or hurricane.

تَعَقَّبْهُمْ وَأرْعِبْهُمْ بِزَوابِعِكَ وَعَواصِفِكَ.

16 F ill their faces with shame, that they may seek, inquire for, and insistently require Your name, O Lord.

بِالخِزيِّ غَطِّ وُجُوهَهُمْ لِكَي يَطلُبُوكَ يا اللهُ.

17 L et them be put to shame and dismayed forever; yes, let them be put to shame and perish,

لَيتَهُمْ يَخْزَوْنَ وَيُذَلُّونَ إلَى الأبَدِ، لَيتَهُمْ يَخْزُونَ وَيَهلِكُونَ!

18 T hat they may know that You, Whose name alone is the Lord, are the Most High over all the earth.

عِندَئِذٍ سَيَعلَمُونَ أنَّكَ أنتَ يهوه وَحدَكَ اللهُ العَلِيُّ عَلَى كُلِّ الأرْضِ!
