1 I will lift up my eyes to the hills —From whence shall my help come?

أرفَعُ عَينَيَّ نَحوَ الجِبالِ، لَكِنْ مِنْ أينَ سَيَأتِي عَونِي؟

2 M y help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth.

يَأتِي عَونِي مِنْ عِندِ اللهِ الَّذِي خَلَقَ السَّماءَ وَالأرْضَ.

3 H e will not allow your foot to slip or to be moved; He Who keeps you will not slumber.

لَنْ يَتْرُكَكَ لِتَسقُطَ، وَحارِسُكُ لا يَنامُ.

4 B ehold, He who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.

حامِي إسرائِيلَ، لا يَنعَسُ وَلا يَنامُ أبَداً!

5 T he Lord is your keeper; the Lord is your shade on your right hand.

اللهُ هُوَ الَّذِي يَحْرُسُكَ! حامِيكَ هُوَ، واقِفٌ عَنْ يَمِينِكَ.

6 T he sun shall not smite you by day, nor the moon by night.

فَلا الشَّمسُ تُؤذِيكَ نَهاراً، وَلا القَمَرُ يَضُرُّكَ لَيلاً.

7 T he Lord will keep you from all evil; He will keep your life.

يَحمِيكَ اللهُ مِنْ كُلِّ شَرٍّ، وَيَحفَظُ حَياتَكَ.

8 T he Lord will keep your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forevermore.

فِي كُلِّ ما تَفعَلُهُ سَيَسهَرُ اللهُ عَلَيكَ، مِنَ الآنَ وَإلَى الأبَدِ.
