1 И так, подражайте Богу, как чада возлюбленные,

Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children;

2 и живите в любви, как и Христос возлюбил нас и предал Себя за нас в приношение и жертву Богу, в благоухание приятное.

And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.

3 А блуд и всякая нечистота и любостяжание не должны даже именоваться у вас, как прилично святым.

But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints;

4 Т акже сквернословие и пустословие и смехотворство не приличны, а, напротив, благодарение;

Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks.

5 и бо знайте, что никакой блудник, или нечистый, или любостяжатель, который есть идолослужитель, не имеет наследия в Царстве Христа и Бога.

For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.

6 Н икто да не обольщает вас пустыми словами, ибо за это приходит гнев Божий на сынов противления;

Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.

7 и так, не будьте сообщниками их.

Be not ye therefore partakers with them.

8 В ы были некогда тьма, а теперь--свет в Господе: поступайте, как чада света,

For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:

9 п отому что плод Духа состоит во всякой благости, праведности и истине.

(For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)

10 И спытывайте, что благоугодно Богу,

Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.

11 и не участвуйте в бесплодных делах тьмы, но и обличайте.

And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.

12 И бо о том, что они делают тайно, стыдно и говорить.

For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret.

13 В се же обнаруживаемое делается явным от света, ибо все, делающееся явным, свет есть.

But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light.

14 П осему сказано: 'встань, спящий, и воскресни из мертвых, и осветит тебя Христос'.

Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.

15 И так, смотрите, поступайте осторожно, не как неразумные, но как мудрые,

See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,

16 д орожа временем, потому что дни лукавы.

Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.

17 И так, не будьте нерассудительны, но познавайте, что есть воля Божия.

Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.

18 И не упивайтесь вином, от которого бывает распутство; но исполняйтесь Духом,

And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;

19 н азидая самих себя псалмами и славословиями и песнопениями духовными, поя и воспевая в сердцах ваших Господу,

Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;

20 б лагодаря всегда за все Бога и Отца, во имя Господа нашего Иисуса Христа,

Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;

21 п овинуясь друг другу в страхе Божием.

Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.

22 Ж ены, повинуйтесь своим мужьям, как Господу,

Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.

23 п отому что муж есть глава жены, как и Христос глава Церкви, и Он же Спаситель тела.

For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.

24 Н о как Церковь повинуется Христу, так и жены своим мужьям во всем.

Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.

25 М ужья, любите своих жен, как и Христос возлюбил Церковь и предал Себя за нее,

Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;

26 ч тобы освятить ее, очистив банею водною посредством слова;

That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,

27 ч тобы представить ее Себе славною Церковью, не имеющею пятна, или порока, или чего-либо подобного, но дабы она была свята и непорочна.

That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

28 Т ак должны мужья любить своих жен, как свои тела: любящий свою жену любит самого себя.

So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.

29 И бо никто никогда не имел ненависти к своей плоти, но питает и греет ее, как и Господь Церковь,

For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:

30 п отому что мы члены тела Его, от плоти Его и от костей Его.

For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.

31 П осему оставит человек отца своего и мать и прилепится к жене своей, и будут двое одна плоть.

For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.

32 Т айна сия велика; я говорю по отношению ко Христу и к Церкви.

This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.

33 Т ак каждый из вас да любит свою жену, как самого себя; а жена да боится своего мужа.

Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.
