28 R estul poporului, preoţii, leviţii, portarii, cântăreţii, slujitorii de la Templu şi toţi aceia care se separaseră de popoarele străine de dragul Legii lui Dumnezeu, împreună cu soţiile lor, cu fiii şi cu fiicele lor şi cu toţi aceia care aveau cunoştinţă şi pricepere,

And the rest of the people, the priests, the Levites, the porters, the singers, the Nethinims, and all they that had separated themselves from the people of the lands unto the law of God, their wives, their sons, and their daughters, every one having knowledge, and having understanding;

29 s -au alăturat rudelor lor, nobilii, şi s-au legat cu jurământ să umble în Legea lui Dumnezeu, dată prin Moise, robul lui Dumnezeu, să o păzească şi să împlinească toate poruncile Domnului, Stăpânul nostru, precum şi orânduirile şi decretele Lui.

they clave to their brethren, their nobles, and entered into a curse, and into an oath, to walk in God’s law, which was given by Moses the servant of God, and to observe and do all the commandments of the Lord our Lord, and his judgments and his statutes;

30 A m promis atunci: „Nu ne vom mai da fetele de soţii celor din popoarele din ţară şi nu le vom mai lua pe fetele lor de soţii pentru fiii noştri.

and that we would not give our daughters unto the people of the land, nor take their daughters for our sons:

31 C ând popoarele ţării vor veni în ziua de Sabat să vândă produse şi felurite alimente, nu vom mai cumpăra nimic de la ele nici în ziua de Sabat, nici în vreo altă zi sfântă. În fiecare al şaptelea an vom lăsa ogorul nelucrat şi vom anula orice datorie.

and if the people of the land bring ware or any victuals on the sabbath day to sell, that we would not buy it of them on the sabbath, or on the holy day: and that we would leave the seventh year, and the exaction of every debt.

32 A m hotărât să împlinim şi porunca de a da o treime dintr-un şechel pe an, pentru slujba de la Templul Dumnezeului nostru,

Also we made ordinances for us, to charge ourselves yearly with the third part of a shekel for the service of the house of our God;

33 p entru pâinea prezentării, pentru darul de mâncare continuu, pentru arderea de tot continuă, pentru jertfele aduse în zilele de Sabat, de lună nouă şi de sărbători, pentru darurile sfinte, pentru jertfele aduse ca ispăşire pentru păcatele lui Israel, precum şi pentru tot ceea ce priveşte lucrarea de la Templul Dumnezeului nostru.

for the shewbread, and for the continual meat offering, and for the continual burnt offering, of the sabbaths, of the new moons, for the set feasts, and for the holy things, and for the sin offerings to make an atonement for Israel, and for all the work of the house of our God.

34 N oi, – preoţii, leviţii şi oameni din popor, – potrivit familiilor noastre, am tras la sorţi în legătură cu lemnele ce trebuie aduse ca dar în fiecare an, la vremuri hotărâte, la Templul Dumnezeului nostru, ca să fie arse pe altarul Domnului, Dumnezeul nostru, aşa cum este scris în Lege.

And we cast the lots among the priests, the Levites, and the people, for the wood offering, to bring it into the house of our God, after the houses of our fathers, at times appointed year by year, to burn upon the altar of the Lord our God, as it is written in the law:

35 A m mai hotărât să aducem la Templul Domnului, în fiecare an, primele roade ale pământului şi primele roade ale tuturor pomilor.

and to bring the firstfruits of our ground, and the firstfruits of all fruit of all trees, year by year, unto the house of the Lord:

36 D e asemenea, aşa cum este scris în Lege, vom aduce la Templul Dumnezeului nostru, la preoţii care fac slujba în Templul Dumnezeului nostru, pe întâii născuţi dintre fiii noştri şi dintre vitele noastre, pe întâii născuţi ai vacilor şi ai oilor noastre.

also the firstborn of our sons, and of our cattle, as it is written in the law, and the firstlings of our herds and of our flocks, to bring to the house of our God, unto the priests that minister in the house of our God:

37 V om aduce preoţilor, în cămările Templului Dumnezeului nostru, cele dintâi roade din aluatul nostru, din contribuţiile noastre, din fructe, din must şi din ulei şi le vom da leviţilor zeciuiala din roadele pământurilor noastre. Înşişi leviţii vor putea să ia zeciuiala în toate cetăţile unde lucrăm.

and that we should bring the firstfruits of our dough, and our offerings, and the fruit of all manner of trees, of wine and of oil, unto the priests, to the chambers of the house of our God; and the tithes of our ground unto the Levites, that the same Levites might have the tithes in all the cities of our tillage.

38 P reotul, fiul lui Aaron, să-i însoţească pe leviţi când vor lua zeciuiala, iar leviţii să ducă a zecea parte din zeciuială la Templul Dumnezeului nostru, în cămările vistieriei.

And the priest the son of Aaron shall be with the Levites, when the Levites take tithes: and the Levites shall bring up the tithe of the tithes unto the house of our God, to the chambers, into the treasure house.

39 C ăci israeliţii şi leviţii vor trebui să aducă contribuţiile din grâne, din must şi din ulei în cămările în care se află vasele Lăcaşului, acolo unde slujesc preoţii, portarii şi cântăreţii. Nu vom mai uita de Templul Dumnezeului nostru!“

For the children of Israel and the children of Levi shall bring the offering of the corn, of the new wine, and the oil, unto the chambers, where are the vessels of the sanctuary, and the priests that minister, and the porters, and the singers: and we will not forsake the house of our God.
