1 Y vino palabra del SEÑOR a Jehú hijo de Hanani contra Baasa, diciendo:

And the word of Jehovah came to Jehu the son of Hanani against Baasha, saying,

2 P ues que yo te levanté del polvo, y te puse por príncipe sobre mi pueblo Israel, y tú has andado en el camino de Jeroboam, y has hecho que mi pueblo Israel peque, provocándome a ira con sus pecados;

Forasmuch as I exalted thee out of the dust, and made thee prince over my people Israel, and thou hast walked in the way of Jeroboam, and hast made my people Israel to sin, to provoke me to anger with their sins;

3 h e aquí yo quemaré la posteridad de Baasa, y la posteridad de su casa; y pondré tu casa como la casa de Jeroboam hijo de Nabat.

behold, I will utterly sweep away Baasha and his house; and I will make thy house like the house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat.

4 E l que de Baasa fuere muerto en la ciudad, le comerán los perros; y el que de él fuere muerto en el campo, le comerán las aves del cielo.

Him that dieth of Baasha in the city shall the dogs eat; and him that dieth of his in the field shall the birds of the heavens eat.

5 L os demás hechos de Baasa, y las cosas que hizo, y su fortaleza, ¿no está todo escrito en el libro de las crónicas de los reyes de Israel?

Now the rest of the acts of Baasha, and what he did, and his might, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?

6 Y durmió Baasa con sus padres, y fue sepultado en Tirsa; y reinó en su lugar Ela su hijo.

And Baasha slept with his fathers, and was buried in Tirzah; and Elah his son reigned in his stead.

7 Y así mismo había sido la palabra del SEÑOR por la mano de Jehú, hijo de Hanani, profeta sobre Baasa y sobre su casa, y sobre todo lo malo que hizo a los ojos del SEÑOR, provocándole a ira con las obras de sus manos, para que fuera hecha como la casa de Jeroboam; y por el hecho de haberlo herido.

And moreover by the prophet Jehu the son of Hanani came the word of Jehovah against Baasha, and against his house, both because of all the evil that he did in the sight of Jehovah, to provoke him to anger with the work of his hands, in being like the house of Jeroboam, and because he smote him.

8 E n el año veintiséis de Asa rey de Judá, comenzó a reinar Ela hijo de Baasa sobre Israel en Tirsa; y reinó dos años.

In the twenty and sixth year of Asa king of Judah began Elah the son of Baasha to reign over Israel in Tirzah, and reigned two years.

9 E hizo conjuración contra él su siervo Zimri, príncipe sobre la mitad de los carros. Y estando él en Tirsa, bebiendo y embriagado en casa de Arsa su mayordomo en Tirsa,

And his servant Zimri, captain of half his chariots, conspired against him. Now he was in Tirzah, drinking himself drunk in the house of Arza, who was over the household in Tirzah:

10 v ino Zimri, y lo hirió y mató, en el año veintisiete de Asa rey de Judá; y reinó en su lugar.

and Zimri went in and smote him, and killed him, in the twenty and seventh year of Asa king of Judah, and reigned in his stead.

11 Y luego que llegó a reinar y estuvo sentado en su trono, hirió toda la casa de Baasa, sin dejar en ella meante a la pared, ni sus parientes ni amigos.

And it came to pass, when he began to reign, as soon as he sat on his throne, that he smote all the house of Baasha: he left him not a single man-child, neither of his kinsfolks, nor of his friends.

12 A sí rayó Zimri toda la casa de Baasa, conforme a la palabra del SEÑOR, que había hablado contra Baasa por medio del profeta Jehú;

Thus did Zimri destroy all the house of Baasha, according to the word of Jehovah, which he spake against Baasha by Jehu the prophet,

13 p or todos los pecados de Baasa, y los pecados de Ela su hijo, con que ellos pecaron e hicieron que Israel pecara, provocando a enojo al SEÑOR Dios de Israel con sus vanidades.

for all the sins of Baasha, and the sins of Elah his son, which they sinned, and wherewith they made Israel to sin, to provoke Jehovah, the God of Israel, to anger with their vanities.

14 L os demás hechos de Ela, y todas las cosas que hizo, ¿no está todo escrito en el libro de las crónicas de los reyes de Israel?

Now the rest of the acts of Elah, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?

15 ¶ En el año veintisiete de Asa rey de Judá, comenzó a reinar Zimri, y reinó siete días en Tirsa; y el pueblo había acampado sobre Gibetón, ciudad de los filisteos.

In the twenty and seventh year of Asa king of Judah did Zimri reign seven days in Tirzah. Now the people were encamped against Gibbethon, which belonged to the Philistines.

16 Y el pueblo que estaba en el campo oyó decir: Zimri ha hecho conjuración, y ha dado muerte al rey. Entonces todo Israel levantó el mismo día por rey sobre Israel a Omri, general del ejército, en el campo.

And the people that were encamped heard say, Zimri hath conspired, and hath also smitten the king: wherefore all Israel made Omri, the captain of the host, king over Israel that day in the camp.

17 Y subió Omri de Gibetón, y con él todo Israel, y cercaron a Tirsa.

And Omri went up from Gibbethon, and all Israel with him, and they besieged Tirzah.

18 M as viendo Zimri tomada la ciudad, se metió en el palacio de la casa real, y prendió fuego a la casa consigo; y murió,

And it came to pass, when Zimri saw that the city was taken, that he went into the castle of the king's house, and burnt the king's house over him with fire, and died,

19 p or sus pecados en que él había cometido, haciendo lo malo ante los ojos del SEÑOR, y andando en los caminos de Jeroboam, y en su pecado que cometió, haciendo que Israel pecara.

for his sins which he sinned in doing that which was evil in the sight of Jehovah, in walking in the way of Jeroboam, and in his sin which he did, to make Israel to sin.

20 L os demás hechos de Zimri, y su conspiración que formó, ¿no está todo escrito en el libro de las crónicas de los reyes de Israel?

Now the rest of the acts of Zimri, and his treason that he wrought, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?

21 E ntonces el pueblo de Israel fue dividido en dos partes: la mitad del pueblo seguía a Tibni hijo de Ginat, para hacerlo rey; y la otra mitad seguía a Omri.

Then were the people of Israel divided into two parts: half of the people followed Tibni the son of Ginath, to make him king; and half followed Omri.

22 M as el pueblo que seguía a Omri, pudo más que el que seguía a Tibni hijo de Ginat; y Tibni murió, y Omri fue rey.

But the people that followed Omri prevailed against the people that followed Tibni the son of Ginath: so Tibni died, and Omri reigned.

23 E n el año treinta y uno de Asa rey de Judá, comenzó a reinar Omri sobre Israel, y reinó doce años; en Tirsa reinó seis años.

In the thirty and first year of Asa king of Judah began Omri to reign over Israel, and reigned twelve years: six years reigned he in Tirzah.

24 ¶ Este compró el monte de Samaria de Semer por dos talentos de plata, y edificó en el monte; y llamó el nombre de la ciudad que edificó, como el nombre de Semer, señor del monte de Samaria.

And he bought the hill Samaria of Shemer for two talents of silver; and he built on the hill, and called the name of the city which he built, after the name of Shemer, the owner of the hill, Samaria.

25 Y Omri hizo lo malo delante de los ojos del SEÑOR, e hizo peor que todos los que habían sido antes de él;

And Omri did that which was evil in the sight of Jehovah, and dealt wickedly above all that were before him.

26 p orque anduvo en todos los caminos de Jeroboam hijo de Nabat, y en su pecado con que hizo que Israel pecara, provocando a ira al SEÑOR Dios de Israel en sus vanidades.

For he walked in all the way of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, and in his sins wherewith he made Israel to sin, to provoke Jehovah, the God of Israel, to anger with their vanities.

27 L os demás hechos de Omri, y todas las cosas que hizo, y sus valentías que ejecutó, ¿no está todo escrito en el libro de las crónicas de los reyes de Israel?

Now the rest of the acts of Omri which he did, and his might that he showed, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?

28 Y Omri durmió con sus padres, y fue sepultado en Samaria; y reinó en lugar suyo Acab, su hijo.

So Omri slept with his fathers, and was buried in Samaria; and Ahab his son reigned in his stead.

29 Y comenzó a reinar Acab hijo de Omri sobre Israel el año treinta y ocho de Asa rey de Judá.

And in the thirty and eighth year of Asa king of Judah began Ahab the son of Omri to reign over Israel: and Ahab the son of Omri reigned over Israel in Samaria twenty and two years.

30 Y reinó Acab hijo de Omri sobre Israel en Samaria veintidós años. Y Acab hijo de Omri hizo lo malo ante los ojos del SEÑOR más que todos los que fueron antes de él;

And Ahab the son of Omri did that which was evil in the sight of Jehovah above all that were before him.

31 p orque le fue ligera cosa andar en los pecados de Jeroboam hijo de Nabat, y tomó por mujer a Jezabel hija de Et-baal rey de los sidonios, y fue y sirvió a Baal, y lo adoró.

And it came to pass, as if it had been a light thing for him to walk in the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, that he took to wife Jezebel the daughter of Ethbaal king of the Sidonians, and went and served Baal, and worshipped him.

32 E hizo altar a Baal, en la casa de Baal que él edificó en Samaria.

And he reared up an altar for Baal in the house of Baal, which he had built in Samaria.

33 H izo también Acab bosques; y añadió Acab haciendo provocar a ira al SEÑOR Dios de Israel, más que todos los reyes de Israel que antes de él habían sido.

And Ahab made the Asherah; and Ahab did yet more to provoke Jehovah, the God of Israel, to anger than all the kings of Israel that were before him.

34 E n su tiempo Hiel de Bet-el reedificó a Jericó. En Abiram su primogénito echó el cimiento, y en Segub su hijo postrero puso sus puertas; conforme a la palabra del SEÑOR que había hablado por Josué hijo de Nun.

In his days did Hiel the Beth-elite build Jericho: he laid the foundation thereof with the loss of Abiram his first-born, and set up the gates thereof with the loss of his youngest son Segub, according to the word of Jehovah, which he spake by Joshua the son of Nun.
