1 T hen Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.

2 A nd after He had fasted forty days and forty nights, He then became hungry.
Después de haber ayunado cuarenta días y cuarenta noches, sintió hambre.
3 A nd the tempter came and said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread.”
Se le acercó el tentador y le dijo: —Si eres Hijo de Dios, di que estas piedras se conviertan en pan.
4 B ut He answered and said, “It is written, ‘ Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.’”
Él respondió y dijo: —Escrito está: “No sólo de pan vivirá el hombre, sino de toda palabra que sale de la boca de Dios.”
5 T hen the devil took Him into the holy city and had Him stand on the pinnacle of the temple,
Entonces el diablo lo llevó a la santa ciudad, lo puso sobre el pináculo del Templo
6 a nd said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down; for it is written, ‘ He will command His angels concerning You ’; and ‘ On their hands they will bear You up, So that You will not strike Your foot against a stone.’”
y le dijo: —Si eres Hijo de Dios, tírate abajo, pues escrito está: “A sus ángeles mandará acerca de ti”, y “En sus manos te sostendrán, para que no tropieces con tu pie en piedra.”
7 J esus said to him, “ On the other hand, it is written, ‘ You shall not put the Lord your God to the test.’”
Jesús le dijo: —Escrito está también: “No tentarás al Señor tu Dios.”
8 A gain, the devil took Him to a very high mountain and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory;
Otra vez lo llevó el diablo a un monte muy alto y le mostró todos los reinos del mundo y la gloria de ellos,
9 a nd he said to Him, “ All these things I will give You, if You fall down and worship me.”
y le dijo: —Todo esto te daré, si postrado me adoras.
10 T hen Jesus said to him, “Go, Satan! For it is written, ‘ You shall worship the Lord your God, and serve Him only.’”
Entonces Jesús le dijo: —Vete, Satanás, porque escrito está: “Al Señor tu Dios adorarás y sólo a él servirás.”
11 T hen the devil left Him; and behold, angels came and began to minister to Him. Jesus Begins His Ministry
El diablo entonces lo dejó, y vinieron ángeles y lo servían. Comienzo del ministerio
12 N ow when Jesus heard that John had been taken into custody, He withdrew into Galilee;
Cuando Jesús oyó que Juan estaba preso, volvió a Galilea.
13 a nd leaving Nazareth, He came and settled in Capernaum, which is by the sea, in the region of Zebulun and Naphtali.
Dejando Nazaret, fue y habitó en Capernaúm, ciudad marítima, en la región de Zabulón y de Neftalí,
14 T his was to fulfill what was spoken through Isaiah the prophet:

15 “ The land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, By the way of the sea, beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles —

18 N ow as Jesus was walking by the Sea of Galilee, He saw two brothers, Simon who was called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen.
Pasando Jesús junto al Mar de Galilea, vio a dos hermanos, Simón, llamado Pedro, y su hermano Andrés, que echaban la red en el mar, porque eran pescadores.
19 A nd He said to them, “ Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.”
Y les dijo: —Venid en pos de mí, y os haré pescadores de hombres.
20 I mmediately they left their nets and followed Him.
Ellos entonces, dejando al instante las redes, lo siguieron.
21 G oing on from there He saw two other brothers, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in the boat with Zebedee their father, mending their nets; and He called them.
Pasando de allí, vio a otros dos hermanos, Jacobo, hijo de Zebedeo, y su hermano Juan, en la barca con Zebedeo, su padre, que remendaban sus redes; y los llamó.
22 I mmediately they left the boat and their father, and followed Him. Ministry in Galilee
Ellos, dejando al instante la barca y a su padre, lo siguieron. Jesús ministra a la multitud
23 J esus was going throughout all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every kind of disease and every kind of sickness among the people.
Recorría Jesús toda Galilea, enseñando en las sinagogas de ellos, predicando el evangelio del Reino y sanando toda enfermedad y toda dolencia en el pueblo.
24 T he news about Him spread throughout all Syria; and they brought to Him all who were ill, those suffering with various diseases and pains, demoniacs, epileptics, paralytics; and He healed them.
Se difundió su fama por toda Siria, y le trajeron todos los que tenían dolencias, los afligidos por diversas enfermedades y tormentos, los endemoniados, lunáticos y paralíticos, y los sanó.
25 L arge crowds followed Him from Galilee and the Decapolis and Jerusalem and Judea and from beyond the Jordan.
Lo siguió mucha gente de Galilea, de Decápolis, de Jerusalén, de Judea y del otro lado del Jordán.
