1 “ At that time,” declares the Lord, “I will be the God of all the families of Israel, and they shall be My people.”

»En aquel tiempo, dice Jehová, yo seré el Dios de todas las familias de Israel y ellas serán mi pueblo».

2 T hus says the Lord, “The people who survived the sword Found grace in the wilderness— Israel, when it went to find its rest.”

Así ha dicho Jehová: «El pueblo que escapó de la espada halló gracia en el desierto, cuando Israel iba en busca de reposo.

3 T he Lord appeared to him from afar, saying, “I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore I have drawn you with lovingkindness.

Jehová se me manifestó hace ya mucho tiempo, diciendo: “Con amor eterno te he amado; por eso, te prolongué mi misericordia.

4 “ Again I will build you and you will be rebuilt, O virgin of Israel! Again you will take up your tambourines, And go forth to the dances of the merrymakers.

Volveré a edificarte: serás reedificada, virgen de Israel. De nuevo serás adornada con tus panderos y saldrás en alegres danzas.

5 “ Again you will plant vineyards On the hills of Samaria; The planters will plant And will enjoy them.

Volverás a plantar viñas en los montes de Samaria; plantarán los que plantan y disfrutarán de ellas,

6 “ For there will be a day when watchmen On the hills of Ephraim call out, ‘Arise, and let us go up to Zion, To the Lord our God.’”

porque habrá día en que clamarán los guardas en los montes de Efraín: ‘¡Levantaos y subamos a Sión, a Jehová, nuestro Dios!’”»

7 F or thus says the Lord, “ Sing aloud with gladness for Jacob, And shout among the chief of the nations; Proclaim, give praise and say, ‘O Lord, save Your people, The remnant of Israel.’

Así ha dicho Jehová: «Regocijaos en Jacob con alegría; dad voces de júbilo a la cabeza de naciones. ¡Haced oír, alabad y decid: “Salva, Jehová, a tu pueblo, el resto de Israel”!

8 “ Behold, I am bringing them from the north country, And I will gather them from the remote parts of the earth, Among them the blind and the lame, The woman with child and she who is in labor with child, together; A great company, they will return here.

Yo los hago volver de la tierra del norte, los reuniré de los extremos de la tierra; entre ellos, juntamente, a ciegos y a cojos, a la mujer que está encinta y a la que dio a luz. En gran compañía volverán acá.

9 “ With weeping they will come, And by supplication I will lead them; I will make them walk by streams of waters, On a straight path in which they will not stumble; For I am a father to Israel, And Ephraim is My firstborn.”

Irán con llanto, mas con misericordia los haré volver y los haré andar junto a arroyos de aguas, por camino derecho en el cual no tropezarán, porque yo soy el padre de Israel, y Efraín es mi primogénito.

10 H ear the word of the Lord, O nations, And declare in the coastlands afar off, And say, “He who scattered Israel will gather him And keep him as a shepherd keeps his flock.”

»¡Oíd palabra de Jehová, naciones, y hacedlo saber en las costas que están lejos! Decid: “El que dispersó a Israel, lo reunirá y guardará, como el pastor a su rebaño”,

11 F or the Lord has ransomed Jacob And redeemed him from the hand of him who was stronger than he.

porque Jehová redimió a Jacob, lo redimió de mano del más fuerte que él.

12 “ They will come and shout for joy on the height of Zion, And they will be radiant over the bounty of the Lord — Over the grain and the new wine and the oil, And over the young of the flock and the herd; And their life will be like a watered garden, And they will never languish again.

Vendrán con gritos de gozo a lo alto de Sión y correrán a los bienes de Jehová: al pan, al vino, al aceite y al ganado de ovejas y de vacas. Su vida será como un huerto de riego y nunca más tendrán dolor alguno.

13 “ Then the virgin will rejoice in the dance, And the young men and the old, together, For I will turn their mourning into joy And will comfort them and give them joy for their sorrow.

Entonces la virgen danzará alegremente, junto con los jóvenes y los viejos; cambiaré su llanto en gozo, los consolaré y los alegraré de su dolor.

14 “ I will fill the soul of the priests with abundance, And My people will be satisfied with My goodness,” declares the Lord.

El alma del sacerdote satisfaré con abundancia, y mi pueblo será saciado de mis bienes, dice Jehová.»

15 T hus says the Lord, “ A voice is heard in Ramah, Lamentation and bitter weeping. Rachel is weeping for her children; She refuses to be comforted for her children, Because they are no more.”

Así ha dicho Jehová: «Voz fue oída en Ramá, llanto y lloro amargo: es Raquel que llora por sus hijos, y no quiso ser consolada acerca de sus hijos, porque perecieron.»

16 T hus says the Lord, “ Restrain your voice from weeping And your eyes from tears; For your work will be rewarded,” declares the Lord, “And they will return from the land of the enemy.

Así ha dicho Jehová: «Reprime del llanto tu voz y de las lágrimas tus ojos, porque salario hay para tu trabajo, dice Jehová. Volverán de la tierra del enemigo.

17 “ There is hope for your future,” declares the Lord, “And your children will return to their own territory.

Esperanza hay también para tu porvenir, dice Jehová, y los hijos volverán a su propia tierra.

18 “ I have surely heard Ephraim grieving, ‘You have chastised me, and I was chastised, Like an untrained calf; Bring me back that I may be restored, For You are the Lord my God.

Escuchando, he oído a Efraín que se lamentaba: “Me azotaste, y fui castigado como novillo indómito; conviérteme, y seré convertido, porque tú eres Jehová, mi Dios.

19 ‘ For after I turned back, I repented; And after I was instructed, I smote on my thigh; I was ashamed and also humiliated Because I bore the reproach of my youth.’

Después que me aparté, me arrepentí, y después que reconocí mi falta, me golpeé el muslo; me avergoncé y me confundí, porque llevé la afrenta de mi juventud.”

20 “ Is Ephraim My dear son? Is he a delightful child? Indeed, as often as I have spoken against him, I certainly still remember him; Therefore My heart yearns for him; I will surely have mercy on him,” declares the Lord.

¿No es Efraín un hijo precioso para mí? ¿No es un niño en quien me deleito? Desde que hablé de él, lo he recordado constantemente. Por eso mis entrañas se conmovieron por él, y ciertamente tendré de él misericordia, dice Jehová.

21 “ Set up for yourself roadmarks, Place for yourself guideposts; Direct your mind to the highway, The way by which you went. Return, O virgin of Israel, Return to these your cities.

»Levanta para ti indicadores, ponte señales altas, fíjate con atención en la calzada. ¡Vuélvete por el camino por donde fuiste, virgen de Israel, vuelve a estas tus ciudades!

22 “ How long will you go here and there, O faithless daughter? For the Lord has created a new thing in the earth— A woman will encompass a man.”

¿Hasta cuándo andarás errante, hija rebelde?, porque Jehová ha creado una cosa nueva sobre la tierra: ¡la mujer cortejará al varón!»

23 T hus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, “Once again they will speak this word in the land of Judah and in its cities when I restore their fortunes, ‘The Lord bless you, O abode of righteousness, O holy hill!’

Así ha dicho Jehová de los ejércitos, Dios de Israel: «Aún dirán esta palabra en la tierra de Judá y en sus ciudades, cuando yo haga volver a sus cautivos: “¡Jehová te bendiga, morada de justicia, monte santo!”

24 J udah and all its cities will dwell together in it, the farmer and they who go about with flocks.

Y habitará allí Judá; y en todas sus ciudades, los labradores y los que van con los rebaños.

25 F or I satisfy the weary ones and refresh everyone who languishes.”

Porque satisfaré al alma cansada y saciaré a toda alma entristecida.»

26 A t this I awoke and looked, and my sleep was pleasant to me. A New Covenant

En esto, me desperté y miré, y mi sueño me fue agradable. El nuevo pacto

27 “ Behold, days are coming,” declares the Lord, “when I will sow the house of Israel and the house of Judah with the seed of man and with the seed of beast.

«Vienen días, dice Jehová, en que sembraré la casa de Israel y la casa de Judá de simiente de hombre y de simiente de animal.

28 A s I have watched over them to pluck up, to break down, to overthrow, to destroy and to bring disaster, so I will watch over them to build and to plant,” declares the Lord.

Y así como tuve cuidado de ellos para arrancar y derribar, para trastornar, perder y afligir, tendré cuidado de ellos para edificar y plantar, dice Jehová.

29 “ In those days they will not say again, ‘ The fathers have eaten sour grapes, And the children’s teeth are set on edge.’

En aquellos días no dirán más: “Los padres comieron las uvas agrias y a los hijos les da dentera”,

30 B ut everyone will die for his own iniquity; each man who eats the sour grapes, his teeth will be set on edge.

sino que cada cual morirá por su propia maldad; a todo aquel que coma uvas agrias le dará dentera.

31 “ Behold, days are coming,” declares the Lord, “when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah,

»Vienen días, dice Jehová, en los cuales haré un nuevo pacto con la casa de Israel y con la casa de Judá.

32 n ot like the covenant which I made with their fathers in the day I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, although I was a husband to them,” declares the Lord.

No como el pacto que hice con sus padres el día en que tomé su mano para sacarlos de la tierra de Egipto; porque ellos invalidaron mi pacto, aunque fui yo un marido para ellos, dice Jehová.

33 “ But this is the covenant which I will make with the house of Israel after those days,” declares the Lord, “ I will put My law within them and on their heart I will write it; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.

Pero éste es el pacto que haré con la casa de Israel después de aquellos días, dice Jehová: Pondré mi ley en su mente y la escribiré en su corazón; yo seré su Dios y ellos serán mi pueblo.

34 T hey will not teach again, each man his neighbor and each man his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for they will all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them,” declares the Lord, “for I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more.”

Y no enseñará más ninguno a su prójimo, ni ninguno a su hermano, diciendo: “Conoce a Jehová”, porque todos me conocerán, desde el más pequeño de ellos hasta el más grande, dice Jehová. Porque perdonaré la maldad de ellos y no me acordaré más de su pecado.

35 T hus says the Lord, Who gives the sun for light by day And the fixed order of the moon and the stars for light by night, Who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar; The Lord of hosts is His name:

»Así ha dicho Jehová, que da el sol para luz del día, las leyes de la luna y de las estrellas para luz de la noche, que agita el mar y braman sus olas; Jehová de los ejércitos es su nombre:

36 “ If this fixed order departs From before Me,” declares the Lord, “Then the offspring of Israel also will cease From being a nation before Me forever.”

Si llegaran a faltar estas leyes delante de mí, dice Jehová, también faltaría la descendencia de Israel, y dejaría de ser para siempre una nación delante de mí.

37 T hus says the Lord, “ If the heavens above can be measured And the foundations of the earth searched out below, Then I will also cast off all the offspring of Israel For all that they have done,” declares the Lord.

»Así ha dicho Jehová: Si se pudieran medir los cielos arriba y explorar abajo los fundamentos de la tierra, también yo desecharía a toda la descendencia de Israel por todo lo que hicieron, dice Jehová.

38 “ Behold, days are coming,” declares the Lord, “when the city will be rebuilt for the Lord from the Tower of Hananel to the Corner Gate.

»Vienen días, dice Jehová, en que la ciudad será edificada a Jehová, desde la torre de Hananeel hasta la puerta del Ángulo.

39 T he measuring line will go out farther straight ahead to the hill Gareb; then it will turn to Goah.

El cordel de medir saldrá en línea recta hasta el collado de Gareb, y luego girará hacia Goa.

40 A nd the whole valley of the dead bodies and of the ashes, and all the fields as far as the brook Kidron, to the corner of the Horse Gate toward the east, shall be holy to the Lord; it will not be plucked up or overthrown anymore forever.”

Todo el valle de los cadáveres y de la ceniza, y todos los campos hasta el arroyo Cedrón, hasta la esquina de la puerta de los Caballos al oriente, serán santos a Jehová. Nunca volverán a ser arrasados ni jamás serán destruidos.»
