1 T hen the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:

Habló Jehová a Moisés y le dijo:

2 “ Speak to all the congregation of the sons of Israel and say to them, ‘ You shall be holy, for I the Lord your God am holy.

«Habla a toda la congregación de los hijos de Israel y diles: »Santos seréis, porque santo soy yo, Jehová, vuestro Dios.

3 E very one of you shall reverence his mother and his father, and you shall keep My sabbaths; I am the Lord your God.

»Cada uno temerá a su madre y a su padre. »Mis sábados guardaréis. Yo, Jehová, vuestro Dios.

4 D o not turn to idols or make for yourselves molten gods; I am the Lord your God.

»No os volveréis a los ídolos, ni haréis para vosotros dioses de fundición. Yo, Jehová, vuestro Dios.

5 ‘ Now when you offer a sacrifice of peace offerings to the Lord, you shall offer it so that you may be accepted.

»Cuando ofrezcáis un sacrificio de ofrenda de paz a Jehová, ofrecedlo de tal manera que él os acepte.

6 I t shall be eaten the same day you offer it, and the next day; but what remains until the third day shall be burned with fire.

Será comido el día que lo ofrezcáis, o al día siguiente; y lo que quede para el tercer día, será quemado en el fuego.

7 S o if it is eaten at all on the third day, it is an offense; it will not be accepted.

Si se come al tercer día, será abominación; no será aceptado,

8 E veryone who eats it will bear his iniquity, for he has profaned the holy thing of the Lord; and that person shall be cut off from his people. Sundry Laws

y el que lo coma cargará con su delito, por cuanto profanó lo santo de Jehová. La tal persona será eliminada de su pueblo.

9 ‘ Now when you reap the harvest of your land, you shall not reap to the very corners of your field, nor shall you gather the gleanings of your harvest.

»Cuando siegues la mies de tu tierra, no segarás hasta el último rincón de ella ni espigarás tu tierra segada.

10 N or shall you glean your vineyard, nor shall you gather the fallen fruit of your vineyard; you shall leave them for the needy and for the stranger. I am the Lord your God.

No rebuscarás tu viña ni recogerás el fruto caído de tu viña; para el pobre y para el extranjero lo dejarás. Yo, Jehová, vuestro Dios.

11 ‘ You shall not steal, nor deal falsely, nor lie to one another.

»No robaréis, no mentiréis ni os engañaréis el uno al otro.

12 Y ou shall not swear falsely by My name, so as to profane the name of your God; I am the Lord.

»No juraréis en falso por mi nombre, profanando así el nombre de tu Dios. Yo, Jehová.

13 ‘ You shall not oppress your neighbor, nor rob him. The wages of a hired man are not to remain with you all night until morning.

»No oprimirás a tu prójimo ni le robarás. »No retendrás el salario del jornalero en tu casa hasta la mañana siguiente.

14 Y ou shall not curse a deaf man, nor place a stumbling block before the blind, but you shall revere your God; I am the Lord.

»No maldecirás al sordo, ni delante del ciego pondrás tropiezo, sino que tendrás temor de tu Dios. Yo, Jehová.

15 ‘ You shall do no injustice in judgment; you shall not be partial to the poor nor defer to the great, but you are to judge your neighbor fairly.

»No cometerás injusticia en los juicios, ni favoreciendo al pobre ni complaciendo al grande: con justicia juzgarás a tu prójimo.

16 Y ou shall not go about as a slanderer among your people, and you are not to act against the life of your neighbor; I am the Lord.

»No andarás chismeando entre tu pueblo. »No atentarás contra la vida de tu prójimo. Yo, Jehová.

17 ‘ You shall not hate your fellow countryman in your heart; you may surely reprove your neighbor, but shall not incur sin because of him.

»No aborrecerás a tu hermano en tu corazón. »Reprenderás a tu prójimo, para que no participes de su pecado.

18 Y ou shall not take vengeance, nor bear any grudge against the sons of your people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself; I am the Lord.

»No te vengarás ni guardarás rencor a los hijos de tu pueblo, sino amarás a tu prójimo como a ti mismo. Yo, Jehová.

19 ‘ You are to keep My statutes. You shall not breed together two kinds of your cattle; you shall not sow your field with two kinds of seed, nor wear a garment upon you of two kinds of material mixed together.

»Mis estatutos guardarás. »No harás ayuntar tu ganado con animales de otra especie. »Tu campo no sembrarás con mezcla de semillas. »No te pondrás vestidos con mezcla de hilos.

20 ‘ Now if a man lies carnally with a woman who is a slave acquired for another man, but who has in no way been redeemed nor given her freedom, there shall be punishment; they shall not, however, be put to death, because she was not free.

»Si un hombre se acuesta con una sierva desposada con otro, que no ha sido rescatada ni ha recibido la libertad, ambos serán castigados, pero no morirán, por cuanto ella no es libre.

21 H e shall bring his guilt offering to the Lord to the doorway of the tent of meeting, a ram for a guilt offering.

Él ofrecerá a Jehová, a la puerta del Tabernáculo de reunión, un carnero como expiación por su culpa.

22 T he priest shall also make atonement for him with the ram of the guilt offering before the Lord for his sin which he has committed, and the sin which he has committed will be forgiven him.

Con el carnero de la expiación lo reconciliará el sacerdote delante de Jehová, por el pecado que cometió, y se le perdonará el pecado que ha cometido.

23 ‘ When you enter the land and plant all kinds of trees for food, then you shall count their fruit as forbidden. Three years it shall be forbidden to you; it shall not be eaten.

»Cuando entréis en la tierra y plantéis toda clase de árboles frutales, consideraréis como incircunciso lo primero de su fruto. Tres años os será como incircunciso: su fruto no se comerá.

24 B ut in the fourth year all its fruit shall be holy, an offering of praise to the Lord.

Al cuarto año, todo su fruto será consagrado en alabanzas a Jehová.

25 I n the fifth year you are to eat of its fruit, that its yield may increase for you; I am the Lord your God.

Pero al quinto año comeréis de su fruto, para que os haga crecer su fruto. Yo, Jehová, vuestro Dios.

26 ‘ You shall not eat anything with the blood, nor practice divination or soothsaying.

»No comeréis cosa alguna con sangre. »No seréis agoreros ni adivinos.

27 Y ou shall not round off the side-growth of your heads nor harm the edges of your beard.

»No haréis tonsura en vuestras cabezas ni dañaréis la punta de vuestra barba.

28 Y ou shall not make any cuts in your body for the dead nor make any tattoo marks on yourselves: I am the Lord.

»No haréis incisiones en vuestro cuerpo por un muerto, ni imprimiréis en vosotros señal alguna. Yo, Jehová.

29 ‘ Do not profane your daughter by making her a harlot, so that the land will not fall to harlotry and the land become full of lewdness.

»No contaminarás a tu hija prostituyéndola, para que no se prostituya la tierra y se llene de maldad.

30 Y ou shall keep My sabbaths and revere My sanctuary; I am the Lord.

»Mis sábados guardaréis, y por mi santuario tendréis reverencia. Yo, Jehová.

31 ‘ Do not turn to mediums or spiritists; do not seek them out to be defiled by them. I am the Lord your God.

»No os volváis a los encantadores ni a los adivinos; no los consultéis, contaminándoos con ellos. Yo, Jehová, vuestro Dios.

32 ‘ You shall rise up before the grayheaded and honor the aged, and you shall revere your God; I am the Lord.

»Delante de las canas te levantarás y honrarás el rostro del anciano. De tu Dios tendrás temor. Yo, Jehová.

33 ‘ When a stranger resides with you in your land, you shall not do him wrong.

»Cuando el extranjero habite con vosotros en vuestra tierra, no lo oprimiréis.

34 T he stranger who resides with you shall be to you as the native among you, and you shall love him as yourself, for you were aliens in the land of Egypt; I am the Lord your God.

Como a uno de vosotros trataréis al extranjero que habite entre vosotros, y lo amarás como a ti mismo, porque extranjeros fuisteis en la tierra de Egipto. Yo, Jehová, vuestro Dios.

35 ‘ You shall do no wrong in judgment, in measurement of weight, or capacity.

»No cometáis injusticia en los juicios, en medidas de tierra, ni en peso ni en otra medida.

36 Y ou shall have just balances, just weights, a just ephah, and a just hin; I am the Lord your God, who brought you out from the land of Egypt.

Balanzas justas, pesas justas y medidas justas tendréis. Yo soy Jehová, vuestro Dios, que os saqué de la tierra de Egipto.

37 Y ou shall thus observe all My statutes and all My ordinances and do them; I am the Lord.’”

»Guardad, pues, todos mis estatutos y todas mis ordenanzas, y ponedlos por obra. Yo, Jehová.»
