1 R emember, O Lord, on David’s behalf, All his affliction;

Acuérdate, Jehová, de David y de toda su aflicción.

2 H ow he swore to the Lord And vowed to the Mighty One of Jacob,

De cómo juró a Jehová y prometió al Fuerte de Jacob:

3 “ Surely I will not enter my house, Nor lie on my bed;

«No entraré en el aposento de mi casa ni subiré al lecho de mi descanso;

4 I will not give sleep to my eyes Or slumber to my eyelids,

no daré el sueño a mis ojos ni a mis párpados adormecimiento,

5 U ntil I find a place for the Lord, A dwelling place for the Mighty One of Jacob.”

hasta que halle lugar para Jehová, morada para el Fuerte de Jacob.»

6 B ehold, we heard of it in Ephrathah, We found it in the field of Jaar.

En Efrata lo oímos; lo hallamos en los campos del bosque.

7 L et us go into His dwelling place; Let us worship at His footstool.

¡Entraremos en su Tabernáculo! ¡Nos postraremos ante el estrado de sus pies!

8 A rise, O Lord, to Your resting place, You and the ark of Your strength.

Levántate, Jehová, al lugar de tu reposo, tú y el Arca de tu poder.

9 L et Your priests be clothed with righteousness, And let Your godly ones sing for joy.

Tus sacerdotes se vistan de justicia y se regocijen tus santos.

10 F or the sake of David Your servant, Do not turn away the face of Your anointed.

Por amor de David tu siervo no vuelvas de tu ungido el rostro.

11 T he Lord has sworn to David A truth from which He will not turn back: “ Of the fruit of your body I will set upon your throne.

En verdad juró Jehová a David y no se retractará de ello: «De tu descendencia pondré sobre tu trono.

12 “ If your sons will keep My covenant And My testimony which I will teach them, Their sons also shall sit upon your throne forever.”

Si tus hijos guardan mi pacto y mi testimonio, que yo les enseño, sus hijos también se sentarán sobre tu trono para siempre»,

13 F or the Lord has chosen Zion; He has desired it for His habitation.

porque Jehová ha elegido a Sión; la quiso por morada suya.

14 “ This is My resting place forever; Here I will dwell, for I have desired it.

«Éste es para siempre el lugar de mi reposo. Aquí habitaré, porque la he querido.

15 “ I will abundantly bless her provision; I will satisfy her needy with bread.

Bendeciré abundantemente su provisión; a sus pobres saciaré de pan.

16 “ Her priests also I will clothe with salvation, And her godly ones will sing aloud for joy.

Asimismo vestiré de salvación a sus sacerdotes y sus santos darán voces de júbilo.

17 “ There I will cause the horn of David to spring forth; I have prepared a lamp for Mine anointed.

Allí haré retoñar el poder de David; he dispuesto lámpara para mi ungido.

18 “ His enemies I will clothe with shame, But upon himself his crown shall shine.”

A sus enemigos vestiré de confusión, pero sobre él florecerá su corona.»
