1 G od, after He spoke long ago to the fathers in the prophets in many portions and in many ways,

Dios, habiendo hablado muchas veces y de muchas maneras en otro tiempo a los padres por los profetas,

2 i n these last days has spoken to us in His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the world.

en estos últimos días nos ha hablado por el Hijo, a quien constituyó heredero de todo y por quien asimismo hizo el universo.

3 A nd He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power. When He had made purification of sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,

Él, que es el resplandor de su gloria, la imagen misma de su sustancia y quien sustenta todas las cosas con la palabra de su poder, habiendo efectuado la purificación de nuestros pecados por medio de sí mismo, se sentó a la diestra de la Majestad en las alturas,

4 h aving become as much better than the angels, as He has inherited a more excellent name than they.

hecho tanto superior a los ángeles cuanto que heredó más excelente nombre que ellos. El Hijo, superior a los ángeles

5 F or to which of the angels did He ever say, “ You are My Son, Today I have begotten You ”? And again, “ I will be a Father to Him And He shall be a Son to Me ”?

¿A cuál de los ángeles dijo Dios jamás: «Mi Hijo eres tú, yo te he engendrado hoy», ni tampoco: «Yo seré un padre para él, y él será un hijo para mí»?

6 A nd when He again brings the firstborn into the world, He says, “ And let all the angels of God worship Him.”

Has amado la justicia y odiado la maldad, por lo cual te ungió Dios, el Dios tuyo, con óleo de alegría más que a tus compañeros.»

10 A nd, “ You, Lord, in the beginning laid the foundation of the earth, And the heavens are the works of Your hands;

También dice: «Tú, Señor, en el principio fundaste la tierra, y los cielos son obra de tus manos.

11 T hey will perish, but You remain; And they all will become old like a garment,

Ellos perecerán, mas tú permaneces. Todos ellos se envejecerán como una vestidura;

12 A nd like a mantle You will roll them up; Like a garment they will also be changed. But You are the same, And Your years will not come to an end.”

como un vestido los envolverás, y serán mudados. Pero tú eres el mismo, y tus años no acabarán.»

13 B ut to which of the angels has He ever said, “ Sit at My right hand, Until I make Your enemies A footstool for Your feet ”?

¿A cuál de los ángeles dijo Dios jamás: «Siéntate a mi diestra, hasta que ponga a tus enemigos por estrado de tus pies»?

14 A re they not all ministering spirits, sent out to render service for the sake of those who will inherit salvation?

¿No son todos espíritus ministradores, enviados para servicio a favor de los que serán herederos de la salvación?
