1 “ Do not judge so that you will not be judged.

»No juzguéis, para que no seáis juzgados,

2 F or in the way you judge, you will be judged; and by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you.

porque con el juicio con que juzgáis seréis juzgados, y con la medida con que medís se os medirá.

3 W hy do you look at the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye?

¿Por qué miras la paja que está en el ojo de tu hermano y no echas de ver la viga que está en tu propio ojo?

4 O r how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ and behold, the log is in your own eye?

¿O cómo dirás a tu hermano: “Déjame sacar la paja de tu ojo”, cuando tienes la viga en el tuyo?

5 Y ou hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye.

¡Hipócrita! saca primero la viga de tu propio ojo, y entonces verás bien para sacar la paja del ojo de tu hermano.

6 “ Do not give what is holy to dogs, and do not throw your pearls before swine, or they will trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces. Prayer and the Golden Rule

»No deis lo santo a los perros, ni echéis vuestras perlas delante de los cerdos, no sea que las pisoteen y se vuelvan y os despedacen. La oración, y la regla de oro

7 “ Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.

»Pedid, y se os dará; buscad, y hallaréis; llamad, y se os abrirá,

8 F or everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.

porque todo aquel que pide, recibe; y el que busca, halla; y al que llama, se le abrirá.

9 O r what man is there among you who, when his son asks for a loaf, will give him a stone?

¿Qué hombre hay de vosotros, que si su hijo le pide pan, le dará una piedra?

10 O r if he asks for a fish, he will not give him a snake, will he?

¿O si le pide un pescado, le dará una serpiente?

11 I f you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give what is good to those who ask Him!

Pues si vosotros, siendo malos, sabéis dar buenas cosas a vuestros hijos, ¿cuánto más vuestro Padre que está en los cielos dará buenas cosas a los que le pidan?

12 “ In everything, therefore, treat people the same way you want them to treat you, for this is the Law and the Prophets. The Narrow and Wide Gates

Así que todas las cosas que queráis que los hombres hagan con vosotros, así también haced vosotros con ellos, pues esto es la Ley y los Profetas. La puerta angosta

13 “ Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it.

»Entrad por la puerta angosta, porque ancha es la puerta y espacioso el camino que lleva a la perdición, y muchos son los que entran por ella;

14 F or the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it. A Tree and Its Fruit

pero angosta es la puerta y angosto el camino que lleva a la vida, y pocos son los que la hallan. Por sus frutos los conoceréis

15 “ Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves.

»Guardaos de los falsos profetas, que vienen a vosotros vestidos de ovejas, pero por dentro son lobos rapaces.

16 Y ou will know them by their fruits. Grapes are not gathered from thorn bushes nor figs from thistles, are they?

Por sus frutos los conoceréis. ¿Acaso se recogen uvas de los espinos o higos de los abrojos?

17 S o every good tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree bears bad fruit.

Así, todo buen árbol da buenos frutos, pero el árbol malo da frutos malos.

18 A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, nor can a bad tree produce good fruit.

No puede el buen árbol dar malos frutos, ni el árbol malo dar frutos buenos.

19 E very tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.

Todo árbol que no da buen fruto, es cortado y echado en el fuego.

20 S o then, you will know them by their fruits.

Así que por sus frutos los conoceréis. Nunca os conocí

21 “ Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter.

»No todo el que me dice: “¡Señor, Señor!”, entrará en el reino de los cielos, sino el que hace la voluntad de mi Padre que está en los cielos.

22 M any will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?’

Muchos me dirán en aquel día: “Señor, Señor, ¿no profetizamos en tu nombre, y en tu nombre echamos fuera demonios, y en tu nombre hicimos muchos milagros?”

23 A nd then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness.’ The Two Foundations

Entonces les declararé: “Nunca os conocí. ¡Apartaos de mí, hacedores de maldad!” Los dos cimientos

24 “ Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them, may be compared to a wise man who built his house on the rock.

»A cualquiera, pues, que me oye estas palabras y las pone en práctica, lo compararé a un hombre prudente que edificó su casa sobre la roca.

25 A nd the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and yet it did not fall, for it had been founded on the rock.

Descendió la lluvia, vinieron ríos, soplaron vientos y golpearon contra aquella casa; pero no cayó, porque estaba cimentada sobre la roca.

26 E veryone who hears these words of Mine and does not act on them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand.

Pero a cualquiera que me oye estas palabras y no las practica, lo compararé a un hombre insensato que edificó su casa sobre la arena.

27 T he rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and it fell—and great was its fall.”

Descendió la lluvia, vinieron ríos, soplaron vientos y dieron con ímpetu contra aquella casa; y cayó, y fue grande su ruina.»

28 W hen Jesus had finished these words, the crowds were amazed at His teaching;

Cuando terminó Jesús estas palabras, la gente estaba admirada de su doctrina,

29 f or He was teaching them as one having authority, and not as their scribes.

porque les enseñaba como quien tiene autoridad y no como los escribas.
