1 F inally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things again is no trouble to me, and it is a safeguard for you.

Por lo demás, hermanos, gozaos en el Señor. Para mí no es molestia el escribiros las mismas cosas, y para vosotros es útil.

2 B eware of the dogs, beware of the evil workers, beware of the false circumcision;

Guardaos de los perros, guardaos de los malos obreros, guardaos de los que mutilan el cuerpo.

3 f or we are the true circumcision, who worship in the Spirit of God and glory in Christ Jesus and put no confidence in the flesh,

Nosotros somos la circuncisión, los que en espíritu servimos a Dios y nos gloriamos en Cristo Jesús, no teniendo confianza en la carne,

4 a lthough I myself might have confidence even in the flesh. If anyone else has a mind to put confidence in the flesh, I far more:

aunque yo tengo también de qué confiar en la carne. Si alguno piensa que tiene de qué confiar en la carne, yo más:

5 c ircumcised the eighth day, of the nation of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews; as to the Law, a Pharisee;

circuncidado al octavo día, del linaje de Israel, de la tribu de Benjamín, hebreo de hebreos; en cuanto a la Ley, fariseo;

6 a s to zeal, a persecutor of the church; as to the righteousness which is in the Law, found blameless.

en cuanto a celo, perseguidor de la iglesia; en cuanto a la justicia que se basa en la Ley, irreprochable.

7 B ut whatever things were gain to me, those things I have counted as loss for the sake of Christ.

Pero cuantas cosas eran para mí ganancia, las he estimado como pérdida por amor de Cristo.

8 M ore than that, I count all things to be loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them but rubbish so that I may gain Christ,

Y ciertamente, aun estimo todas las cosas como pérdida por la excelencia del conocimiento de Cristo Jesús, mi Señor. Por amor a él lo he perdido todo y lo tengo por basura, para ganar a Cristo

9 a nd may be found in Him, not having a righteousness of my own derived from the Law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which comes from God on the basis of faith,

y ser hallado en él, no teniendo mi propia justicia, que se basa en la Ley, sino la que se adquiere por la fe en Cristo, la justicia que procede de Dios y se basa en la fe.

10 t hat I may know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death;

Quiero conocerlo a él y el poder de su resurrección, y participar de sus padecimientos hasta llegar a ser semejante a él en su muerte,

11 i n order that I may attain to the resurrection from the dead.

si es que en alguna manera logro llegar a la resurrección de entre los muertos.

12 N ot that I have already obtained it or have already become perfect, but I press on so that I may lay hold of that for which also I was laid hold of by Christ Jesus.

No que lo haya alcanzado ya, ni que ya sea perfecto; sino que prosigo, por ver si logro asir aquello para lo cual fui también asido por Cristo Jesús.

13 B rethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead,

Hermanos, yo mismo no pretendo haberlo ya alcanzado; pero una cosa hago: olvidando ciertamente lo que queda atrás y extendiéndome a lo que está delante,

14 I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

prosigo a la meta, al premio del supremo llamamiento de Dios en Cristo Jesús.

15 L et us therefore, as many as are perfect, have this attitude; and if in anything you have a different attitude, God will reveal that also to you;

Así que, todos los que somos perfectos, esto mismo sintamos; y si otra cosa sentís, esto también os lo revelará Dios.

16 h owever, let us keep living by that same standard to which we have attained.

Pero en aquello a que hemos llegado, sigamos una misma regla, sintamos una misma cosa.

17 B rethren, join in following my example, and observe those who walk according to the pattern you have in us.

Hermanos, sed imitadores de mí y mirad a los que así se conducen según el ejemplo que tenéis en nosotros,

18 F or many walk, of whom I often told you, and now tell you even weeping, that they are enemies of the cross of Christ,

porque por ahí andan muchos, de los cuales os dije muchas veces, y aun ahora lo digo llorando, que son enemigos de la cruz de Cristo.

19 w hose end is destruction, whose god is their appetite, and whose glory is in their shame, who set their minds on earthly things.

El fin de ellos será la perdición. Su dios es el vientre, su gloria es aquello que debería avergonzarlos, y sólo piensan en lo terrenal.

20 F or our citizenship is in heaven, from which also we eagerly wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ;

Pero nuestra ciudadanía está en los cielos, de donde también esperamos al Salvador, al Señor Jesucristo.

21 w ho will transform the body of our humble state into conformity with the body of His glory, by the exertion of the power that He has even to subject all things to Himself.

Él transformará nuestro cuerpo mortal en un cuerpo glorioso semejante al suyo, por el poder con el cual puede también sujetar a sí mismo todas las cosas.
