1 P raise ye the Lord. Sing unto the Lord a new song, and his praise in the congregation of saints.

Aleluia! Cantem ao Senhor uma nova canção, louvem-no na assembléia dos fiéis.

2 L et Israel rejoice in him that made him: let the children of Zion be joyful in their King.

Alegre-se Israel no seu Criador, exulte o povo de Sião no seu Rei!

3 L et them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp.

Louvem eles o seu nome com danças; ofereçam-lhe música com tamborim e harpa.

4 F or the Lord taketh pleasure in his people: he will beautify the meek with salvation.

O Senhor agrada-se do seu povo; ele coroa de vitória os oprimidos.

5 L et the saints be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their beds.

Regozijem-se os seus fiéis nessa glória e em seus leitos cantem alegremente!

6 L et the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand;

Altos louvores estejam em seus lábios e uma espada de dois gumes em suas mãos,

7 T o execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people;

para imporem vingança às nações e trazerem castigo aos povos,

8 T o bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron;

para prenderem os seus reis com grilhões e seus nobres com algemas de ferro,

9 T o execute upon them the judgment written: this honour have all his saints. Praise ye the Lord.

para executarem a sentença escrita contra eles. Esta é a glória de todos os seus fiéis. Aleluia!
