1 P raise ye the Lord. Blessed is the man that feareth the Lord, that delighteth greatly in his commandments.

Алілуя! Блажен муж, що боїться Господа, що заповіді Його любить!

2 H is seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed.

Буде сильним насіння його на землі, буде поблагословлений рід безневинних!

3 W ealth and riches shall be in his house: and his righteousness endureth for ever.

Багатство й достаток у домі його, а правда його пробуває навіки!

4 U nto the upright there ariseth light in the darkness: he is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous.

Світло сходить у темряві для справедливих, Він ласкавий, і милостивий, і праведний!

5 A good man sheweth favour, and lendeth: he will guide his affairs with discretion.

Добрий муж милостивий та позичає, удержує справи свої справедливістю,

6 S urely he shall not be moved for ever: the righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance.

і навіки він не захитається, у вічній пам'яті праведний буде!

7 H e shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the Lord.

Не боїться він звістки лихої, його серце міцне, надію складає на Господа!

8 H is heart is established, he shall not be afraid, until he see his desire upon his enemies.

Уміцнене серце його не боїться, бо він бачить нещастя поміж ворогами своїми!

9 H e hath dispersed, he hath given to the poor; his righteousness endureth for ever; his horn shall be exalted with honour.

Він щедро убогим дає, його правда навіки стоїть, його ріг підіймається в славі!

10 T he wicked shall see it, and be grieved; he shall gnash with his teeth, and melt away: the desire of the wicked shall perish.

Це бачить безбожний та гнівається, скрегоче зубами своїми та тане... Бажання безбожних загине!
