1 O yendo la reina de Sebá la fama de Salomón, vino a Jerusalén con un séquito muy grande, con camellos cargados de especias aromáticas, oro en abundancia, y piedras preciosas, para probar a Salomón con preguntas difíciles. Y luego que vino a Salomón, habló con él todo lo que en su corazón tenía.

And when the queen of Sheba heard of the fame of Solomon, she came to prove Solomon with hard questions at Jerusalem, with a very great train, and camels that bare spices, and gold in abundance, and precious stones: and when she was come to Solomon, she communed with him of all that was in her heart.

2 P ero Salomón le respondió a todas sus preguntas, y nada hubo que Salomón no le contestase.

And Solomon told her all her questions; and there was not anything hid from Solomon which he told her not.

3 Y viendo la reina de Sebá la sabiduría de Salomón, y la casa que había edificado,

And when the queen of Sheba had seen the wisdom of Solomon, and the house that he had built,

4 y las viandas de su mesa, las habitaciones de sus oficiales, el porte de sus criados y los vestidos de ellos, sus maestresalas y sus vestidos, y la escalinata por donde subía a la casa de Jehová, se quedó asombrada.

and the food of his table, and the sitting of his servants, and the attendance of his ministers, and their apparel, his cupbearers also, and their apparel, and his ascent by which he went up unto the house of Jehovah; there was no more spirit in her.

5 Y dijo al rey: Verdad es lo que había oído en mi tierra acerca de tus cosas y de tu sabiduría;

And she said to the king, It was a true report that I heard in mine own land of thine acts, and of thy wisdom.

6 p ero yo no creía las palabras de ellos, hasta que he venido, y mis ojos han visto; y he aquí que ni aun la mitad de la grandeza de tu sabiduría me había sido dicha; porque tú superas la fama que yo había oído.

Howbeit I believed not their words, until I came, and mine eyes had seen it; and, behold, the half of the greatness of thy wisdom was not told me: thou exceedest the fame that I heard.

7 B ienaventurados tus hombres, y dichosos estos siervos tuyos que están siempre delante de ti, y oyen tu sabiduría.

Happy are thy men, and happy are these thy servants, that stand continually before thee, and hear thy wisdom.

8 B endito sea Jehová tu Dios, el cual se ha complacido en ti para ponerte sobre su trono como rey para Jehová tu Dios; por cuanto tu Dios amó a Israel para establecerlo perpetuamente, por eso te ha puesto por rey sobre ellos, para que hagas juicio y justicia.

Blessed be Jehovah thy God, who delighted in thee, to set thee on his throne, to be king for Jehovah thy God: because thy God loved Israel, to establish them for ever, therefore made he thee king over them, to do justice and righteousness.

9 Y dio al rey ciento veinte talentos de oro, y gran cantidad de especias aromáticas, y piedras preciosas; nunca hubo tales especias aromáticas como las que dio la reina de Sebá al rey Salomón.

And she gave the king a hundred and twenty talents of gold, and spices in great abundance, and precious stones: neither was there any such spice as the queen of Sheba gave to king Solomon.

10 T ambién los siervos de Hiram y los siervos de Salomón, que habían traído el oro de Ofir, trajeron madera de sándalo, y piedras preciosas.

And the servants also of Huram, and the servants of Solomon, that brought gold from Ophir, brought algum-trees and precious stones.

11 Y de la madera de sándalo el rey hizo gradas en la casa de Jehová y en las casas reales, y arpas y salterios para los cantores; nunca en la tierra de Judá se había visto madera semejante.

And the king made of the algum-trees terraces for the house of Jehovah, and for the king's house, and harps and psalteries for the singers: and there were none such seen before in the land of Judah.

12 Y el rey Salomón dio a la reina de Sebá todo lo que ella quiso y le pidió, más de lo que ella había traído al rey. Después ella se volvió y se fue a su tierra con sus siervos. Riquezas y fama de Salomón

And king Solomon gave to the queen of Sheba all her desire, whatsoever she asked, besides that which she had brought unto the king. So she turned, and went to her own land, she and her servants.

13 E l peso del oro que venía a Salomón cada año, era seiscientos sesenta y seis talentos de oro,

Now the weight of gold that came to Solomon in one year was six hundred and threescore and six talents of gold,

14 s in lo que traían los mercaderes y negociantes; también todos los reyes de Arabia y los gobernadores de la tierra traían oro y plata a Salomón.

besides that which the traders and merchants brought: and all the kings of Arabia and the governors of the country brought gold and silver to Solomon.

15 H izo también el rey Salomón doscientos paveses de oro batido, cada uno de los cuales tenía seiscientos siclos de oro labrado;

And king Solomon made two hundred bucklers of beaten gold; six hundred shekels of beaten gold went to one buckler.

16 a simismo trescientos escudos de oro batido, teniendo cada escudo trescientos siclos de oro; y los puso el rey en la casa del bosque del Líbano.

And he made three hundred shields of beaten gold; three hundred shekels of gold went to one shield: and the king put them in the house of the forest of Lebanon.

17 H izo además el rey un gran trono de marfil, y lo cubrió de oro puro.

Moreover the king made a great throne of ivory, and overlaid it with pure gold.

18 E l trono tenía seis gradas, y un estrado de oro fijado al trono, y brazos a uno y otro lado del asiento, y dos leones que estaban junto a los brazos.

nd there were six steps to the throne, with a footstool of gold, which were fastened to the throne, and stays on either side by the place of the seat, and two lions standing beside the stays.

19 H abía también allí doce leones sobre las seis gradas, a uno y otro lado. Jamás fue hecho trono semejante en reino alguno.

And twelve lions stood there on the one side and on the other upon the six steps: there was not the like made in any kingdom.

20 T oda la vajilla del rey Salomón era de oro, y toda la vajilla de la casa del bosque del Líbano, de oro puro. En los días de Salomón la plata no era apreciada.

And all king Solomon's drinking vessels were of gold, and all the vessels of the house of the forest of Lebanon were of pure gold: silver was nothing accounted of in the days of Solomon.

21 P orque la flota del rey iba a Tarsis con los siervos de Hiram, y cada tres años solían venir las naves de Tarsis, y traían oro, plata, marfil, monos y pavos reales.

For the king had ships that went to Tarshish with the servants of Huram; once every three years came the ships of Tarshish, bringing gold, and silver, ivory, and apes, and peacocks.

22 Y excedió el rey Salomón a todos los reyes de la tierra en riqueza y en sabiduría.

So king Solomon exceeded all the kings of the earth in riches and wisdom.

23 Y todos los reyes de la tierra procuraban ver el rostro de Salomón, para oír la sabiduría que Dios le había dado.

And all the kings of the earth sought the presence of Solomon, to hear his wisdom, which God had put in his heart.

24 C ada uno de éstos traía su presente, alhajas de plata, alhajas de oro, vestidos, armas, perfumes, caballos y mulos, todos los años.

And they brought every man his tribute, vessels of silver, and vessels of gold, and raiment, armor, and spices, horses, and mules, a rate year by year.

25 T uvo también Salomón cuatro mil caballerizas para sus caballos y carros, y doce mil jinetes, los cuales puso en las ciudades de los carros, y con el rey en Jerusalén.

And Solomon had four thousand stalls for horses and chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen, that he bestowed in the chariot cities, and with the king at Jerusalem.

26 Y tuvo dominio sobre todos los reyes desde el Eufrates hasta la tierra de los filisteos, y hasta la frontera de Egipto.

And he ruled over all the kings from the River even unto the land of the Philistines, and to the border of Egypt.

27 Y acumuló el rey plata en Jerusalén como piedras, y cedros como los sicómoros de la Sefelá en abundancia.

And the king made silver to be in Jerusalem as stones, and cedars made he to be as the sycomore-trees that are in the lowland, for abundance.

28 T raían también caballos para Salomón, de Egipto y de todos los países. Muerte de Salomón

And they brought horses for Solomon out of Egypt, and out of all lands.

29 L os demás hechos de Salomón, primeros y postreros, ¿no están todos escritos en los libros del profeta Natán, en la profecía de Ahías silonita, y en la profecía del vidente Iddó contra Jeroboam hijo de Nebat?

Now the rest of the acts of Solomon, first and last, are they not written in the history of Nathan the prophet, and in the prophecy of Ahijah the Shilonite, and in the visions of Iddo the seer concerning Jeroboam the son of Nebat?

30 R einó Salomón en Jerusalén sobre todo Israel cuarenta años.

And Solomon reigned in Jerusalem over all Israel forty years.

31 Y durmió Salomón con sus padres, y lo sepultaron en la ciudad de David su padre; y reinó en su lugar Roboam su hijo.

And Solomon slept with his fathers, and he was buried in the city of David his father: and Rehoboam his son reigned in his stead.
