1 E scribe al ángel de la iglesia en Éfeso: El que tiene las siete estrellas en su diestra, el que anda en medio de los siete candeleros de oro, dice esto:

To the angel of the church in Ephesus write: These things saith he that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand, he that walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks:

2 Y o sé tus obras, y tu arduo trabajo y paciencia; y que no puedes soportar a los malos, y has probado a los que se dicen ser apóstoles, y no lo son, y los has hallado mentirosos;

I know thy works, and thy toil and patience, and that thou canst not bear evil men, and didst try them that call themselves apostles, and they are not, and didst find them false;

3 y has sufrido, y has tenido paciencia, y has trabajado arduamente por amor de mi nombre, y no has desmayado.

and thou hast patience and didst bear for my name's sake, and hast not grown weary.

4 P ero tengo contra ti, que has dejado tu primer amor.

But I have this against thee, that thou didst leave thy first love.

5 R ecuerda, por tanto, de dónde has caído, y arrepiéntete, y haz las primeras obras; pues si no, vengo en seguida a ti, y quitaré tu candelero de su lugar, si no te arrepientes.

Remember therefore whence thou art fallen, and repent and do the first works; or else I come to thee, and will move thy candlestick out of its place, except thou repent.

6 P ero tienes esto, que aborreces las obras de los nicolaítas, las cuales yo también aborrezco.

But this thou hast, that thou hatest the works of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.

7 E l que tiene oído, oiga lo que el Espíritu dice a las iglesias. Al que venza, le daré a comer del árbol de la vida, el cual está en medio del paraíso de Dios. El mensaje a Esmirna

He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith to the churches. To him that overcometh, to him will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the Paradise of God.

8 Y escribe al ángel de la iglesia en Esmirna: El primero y el postrero, el que estuvo muerto y volvió a la vida, dice esto:

And to the angel of the church in Smyrna write: These things saith the first and the last, who was dead, and lived again:

9 Y o sé tus obras, y tu tribulación, y tu pobreza (pero eres rico), y la blasfemia de los que se dicen ser judíos, y no lo son, sino sinagoga de Satanás.

I know thy tribulation, and thy poverty (but thou art rich), and the blasphemy of them that say they are Jews, and they art not, but are a synagogue of Satan.

10 N o temas en nada lo que vas a padecer. Mira, el diablo va a echar a algunos de vosotros en la cárcel, para que seáis probados, y tendréis tribulación durante diez días. Sé fiel hasta la muerte, y yo te daré la corona de la vida.

Fear not the things which thou art about to suffer: behold, the devil is about to cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days. Be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee the crown of life.

11 E l que tiene oído, oiga lo que el Espíritu dice a las iglesias. El que venza, no sufrirá ningún daño por parte de la muerte segunda. El mensaje a Pérgamo

He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith to the churches. He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.

12 Y escribe al ángel de la iglesia en Pérgamo: El que tiene la espada aguda de dos filos dice esto:

and to the angel of the church in Pergamum write: These things saith he that hath the sharp two-edged sword:

13 Y o sé tus obras, y dónde habitas, donde está el trono de Satanás; pero retienes mi nombre, y no has negado mi fe, ni aun en los días en que Antipas mi testigo fiel fue muerto entre vosotros, donde mora Satanás.

I know where thou dwellest, even where Satan's throne is; and thou holdest fast my name, and didst not deny my faith, even in the days of Antipas my witness, my faithful one, who was killed among you, where Satan dwelleth.

14 P ero tengo unas pocas cosas contra ti: que tienes ahí a los que retienen la doctrina de Balaam, que enseñaba a Balac a poner tropiezo ante los hijos de Israel, a comer de cosas sacrificadas a los ídolos, y a cometer fornicación.

But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there some that hold the teaching of Balaam, who taught Balak to cast a stumblingblock before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed to idols, and to commit fornication.

15 Y asimismo tienes a los que retienen la doctrina de los nicolaítas, la que yo aborrezco.

So hast thou also some that hold the teaching of the Nicolaitans in like manner.

16 P or tanto, arrepiéntete; pues si no, vengo a ti en seguida, y pelearé contra ellos con la espada de mi boca.

Repent therefore; or else I come to thee quickly, and I will make war against them with the sword of my mouth.

17 E l que tiene oído, oiga lo que el Espíritu dice a las iglesias. Al que venza, le daré a comer del maná escondido, y le daré una piedrecita blanca, e inscrito en la piedrecita un nombre nuevo, el cual ninguno conoce sino el que lo recibe. El mensaje a Tiatira

He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith to the churches. To him that overcometh, to him will I give of the hidden manna, and I will give him a white stone, and upon the stone a new name written, which no one knoweth but he that receiveth it.

18 Y escribe al ángel de la iglesia en Tiatira: El Hijo de Dios, el que tiene los ojos como llama de fuego, y sus pies son semejantes al bronce bruñido, dice esto:

And to the angel of the church in Thyatira write: These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like a flame of fire, and his feet are like unto burnished brass:

19 Y o sé tus obras, y tu amor, fe, servicio y paciencia, y que tus obras recientes son más numerosas que las primeras.

I know thy works, and thy love and faith and ministry and patience, and that thy last works are more than the first.

20 P ero tengo unas pocas cosas contra ti: que toleras que esa mujer Jezabel, que se dice profetisa, enseñe y seduzca a mis siervos a fornicar y a comer cosas sacrificadas a los ídolos.

But I have this against thee, that thou sufferest the woman Jezebel, who calleth herself a prophetess; and she teacheth and seduceth my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed to idols.

21 Y le di tiempo para que se arrepintiese, pero no quiere arrepentirse de su fornicación.

And I gave her time that she should repent; and she willeth not to repent of her fornication.

22 H e aquí, la arrojo en cama, y en gran tribulación a los que con ella adulteran, si no se arrepienten de las obras de ella.

Behold, I cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of her works.

23 Y mataré con peste a sus hijos, y todas las iglesias sabrán que yo soy el que escudriña la conciencia y el corazón; y os daré a cada uno según vuestras obras.

And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he that searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto each one of you according to your works.

24 P ero os digo a vosotros y a los demás que están en Tiatira, a cuantos no tienen esa doctrina, y no han conocido las profundidades de Satanás (como ellos dicen): No os impongo otra carga;

But to you I say, to the rest that are in Thyatira, as many as have not this teaching, who know not the deep things of Satan, as they are wont to say; I cast upon you none other burden.

25 n o obstante, lo que tenéis, retenedlo hasta que yo venga.

Nevertheless that which ye have, hold fast till I come.

26 Y al que vence y al que guarda mis obras hasta el fin, le daré autoridad sobre las naciones,

And he that overcometh, and he that keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give authority over the nations:

27 y las quebrantará con vara de hierro, como son desmenuzados los vasos del alfarero, así como yo también he recibido autoridad de manos de mi Padre;

and he shall rule them with a rod of iron, as the vessels of the potter are broken to shivers; as I also have received of my Father:

28 y le daré la estrella de la mañana.

and I will give him the morning star.

29 E l que tiene oído, oiga lo que el Espíritu dice a las iglesias.

He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith to the churches.
