1 V ino a mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:

And the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,

2 H ijo de hombre, pon tu rostro hacia los hijos de Amón, y profetiza contra ellos.

Son of man, set thy face toward the children of Ammon, and prophesy against them:

3 Y dirás a los hijos de Amón: Oíd palabra del Señor Jehová. Así dice el Señor Jehová: Por cuanto dijiste: ¡Ea, bien!, contra mi santuario cuando era profanado, y contra la tierra de Israel cuando era asolada, y contra la casa de Judá, cuando era llevada en cautiverio;

and say unto the children of Ammon, Hear the word of the Lord Jehovah: Thus saith the Lord Jehovah, Because thou saidst, Aha, against my sanctuary, when it was profaned; and against the land of Israel, when it was made desolate; and against the house of Judah, when they went into captivity:

4 p or tanto, he aquí que yo te entrego por heredad a los orientales, y pondrán en ti sus campamentos y plantarán en ti sus tiendas; ellos comerán tus sementeras, y beberán tu leche.

therefore, behold, I will deliver thee to the children of the east for a possession, and they shall set their encampments in thee, and make their dwellings in thee; they shall eat thy fruit, and they shall drink thy milk.

5 Y pondré a Rabá por pastizal de camellos, y a las ciudades de Amón por majada de ovejas; y sabréis que yo soy Jehová.

And I will make Rabbah a stable for camels, and the children of Ammon a couching-place for flocks: and ye shall know that I am Jehovah.

6 P orque así dice el Señor Jehová: Por cuanto batiste palmas, y pateaste con los pies, y te regocijaste con todo el menosprecio de tu alma contra la tierra de Israel;

For thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Because thou hast clapped thy hands, and stamped with the feet, and rejoiced with all the despite of thy soul against the land of Israel;

7 p or tanto, he aquí que yo extenderé mi mano contra ti, y te entregaré a las naciones para ser saqueada; te cortaré de entre los pueblos, y te destruiré de entre las tierras; te exterminaré, y sabrás que yo soy Jehová. Profecía contra Moab

therefore, behold, I have stretched out my hand upon thee, and will deliver thee for a spoil to the nations; and I will cut thee off from the peoples, and I will cause thee to perish out of the countries: I will destroy thee; and thou shalt know that I am Jehovah.

8 A sí dice el Señor Jehová: Por cuanto Moab y Seír dicen: He aquí que la casa de Judá es como todas las naciones;

Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Because that Moab and Seir do say, Behold, the house of Judah is like unto all the nations;

9 p or tanto, he aquí que yo abriré el flanco de Moab desde las ciudades, desde sus ciudades fronterizas, las tierras espléndidas de Bet-jesimot, Baal-meón y Quiryatáyim,

therefore, behold, I will open the side of Moab from the cities, from his cities which are on his frontiers, the glory of the country, Beth-jeshimoth, Baal-meon, and Kiriathaim,

10 j untamente con los hijos de Amón, a los hijos del oriente; y se la entregaré por heredad, para que no haya más memoria de los hijos de Amón entre las naciones;

unto the children of the east, to go against the children of Ammon; and I will give them for a possession, that the children of Ammon may not be remembered among the nations.

11 y haré justicia en Moab, y sabrán que yo soy Jehová. Profecía contra Edom

and I will execute judgments upon Moab; and they shall know that I am Jehovah.

12 A sí dice el Señor Jehová: Por el comportamiento de Edom contra la casa de Judá, pues tomó venganza y se ha hecho culpable en extremo, al vengarse de ellos;

Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Because that Edom hath dealt against the house of Judah by taking vengeance, and hath greatly offended, and revenged himself upon them;

13 p or tanto, así dice el Señor Jehová: Yo también extenderé mi mano sobre Edom, y cortaré de ella hombres y bestias, y la asolaré; desde Temán hasta Dedán caerán a espada.

therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah, I will stretch out my hand upon Edom, and will cut off man and beast from it; and I will make it desolate from Teman; even unto Dedan shall they fall by the sword.

14 Y pondré mi venganza contra Edom en manos de mi pueblo Israel, y harán en Edom según mi enojo y conforme a mi ira; y conocerán mi venganza, dice el Señor Jehová. Profecía contra los filisteos

And I will lay my vengeance upon Edom by the hand of my people Israel; and they shall do in Edom according to mine anger and according to my wrath; and they shall know my vengeance, saith the Lord Jehovah.

15 A sí dice el Señor Jehová: Porque los filisteos obraron vengativamente, cuando se vengaron con despecho de ánimo, destruyendo por antiguas enemistades;

Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Because the Philistines have dealt by revenge, and have taken vengeance with despite of soul to destroy with perpetual enmity;

16 p or tanto, así dice el Señor Jehová: He aquí que yo extiendo mi mano contra los filisteos, y cortaré a los cereteos, y destruiré el resto que queda en la costa del mar.

therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah, Behold, I will stretch out my hand upon the Philistines, and I will cut off the Cherethites, and destroy the remnant of the sea coast.

17 Y haré en ellos grandes venganzas con furiosos escarmientos; entonces sabrán que yo soy Jehová, cuando haga mi venganza en ellos.

And I will execute great vengeance upon them with wrathful rebukes; and they shall know that I am Jehovah, when I shall lay my vengeance upon them.
