1 H e who dwells in the shelter of the Most High Will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.
El que habita al abrigo del Altísimo Morará bajo la sombra del Omnipotente.
2 I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress, My God, in whom I trust!”
Diré yo a Jehová: Esperanza mía, y castillo mío; Mi Dios, en quien confiaré.
3 F or it is He who delivers you from the snare of the trapper And from the deadly pestilence.
El te librará del lazo del cazador, De la peste destructora.
4 H e will cover you with His pinions, And under His wings you may seek refuge; His faithfulness is a shield and bulwark.
Con sus plumas te cubrirá, Y debajo de sus alas estarás seguro; Escudo y adarga es su verdad.
5 Y ou will not be afraid of the terror by night, Or of the arrow that flies by day;
No temerás el terror nocturno, Ni saeta que vuele de día,
6 O f the pestilence that stalks in darkness, Or of the destruction that lays waste at noon.
Ni pestilencia que ande en oscuridad, Ni mortandad que en medio del día destruya.
7 A thousand may fall at your side And ten thousand at your right hand, But it shall not approach you.
Caerán a tu lado mil, Y diez mil a tu diestra; Mas a ti no llegará.
8 Y ou will only look on with your eyes And see the recompense of the wicked.
Ciertamente con tus ojos mirarás Y verás la recompensa de los impíos.
9 F or you have made the Lord, my refuge, Even the Most High, your dwelling place.
Porque has puesto a Jehová, que es mi esperanza, Al Altísimo por tu habitación,
10 N o evil will befall you, Nor will any plague come near your tent.
No te sobrevendrá mal, Ni plaga tocará tu morada.
11 F or He will give His angels charge concerning you, To guard you in all your ways.
Pues a sus ángeles mandará acerca de ti, Que te guarden en todos tus caminos.
12 T hey will bear you up in their hands, That you do not strike your foot against a stone.
En las manos te llevarán, Para que tu pie no tropiece en piedra.
13 Y ou will tread upon the lion and cobra, The young lion and the serpent you will trample down.
Sobre el león y el áspid pisarás; Hollarás al cachorro del león y al dragón.
14 “ Because he has loved Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him securely on high, because he has known My name.
Por cuanto en mí ha puesto su amor, yo también lo libraré; Le pondré en alto, por cuanto ha conocido mi nombre.
15 “ He will call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honor him.
Me invocará, y yo le responderé; Con él estaré yo en la angustia; Lo libraré y le glorificaré.
16 “ With a long life I will satisfy him And let him see My salvation.”
Lo saciaré de larga vida, Y le mostraré mi salvación.
