Que se apartan para descender a Egipto, y no han preguntado de mi boca; para fortalecerse con la fuerza de Faraón, y poner su esperanza en la sombra de Egipto.

Pero la fuerza de Faraón se os cambiará en verg: uenza, y el amparo en la sombra de Egipto en confusión.

Profecía sobre las bestias del Neguev: Por tierra de tribulación y de angustia, de donde salen la leona y el león, la víbora y la serpiente que vuela, llevan sobre lomos de asnos sus riquezas, y sus tesoros sobre jorobas de camellos, a un pueblo que no les será de provecho.

Ciertamente Egipto en vano e inútilmente dará ayuda; por tanto yo le di voces, que su fortaleza sería estarse quietos.

que dicen a los videntes: No veáis; y a los profetas: No nos profeticéis lo recto, decidnos cosas halag: ueñas, profetizad mentiras;

dejad el camino, apartaos de la senda, quitad de nuestra presencia al Santo de Israel.

12 T herefore thus says the Holy One of Israel, “ Since you have rejected this word And have put your trust in oppression and guile, and have relied on them,

Por tanto, el Santo de Israel dice así: Porque desechasteis esta palabra, y confiasteis en violencia y en iniquidad, y en ello os habéis apoyado;

13 T herefore this iniquity will be to you Like a breach about to fall, A bulge in a high wall, Whose collapse comes suddenly in an instant,

por tanto, os será este pecado como grieta que amenaza ruina, extendiéndose en una pared elevada, cuya caída viene súbita y repentinamente.

14 W hose collapse is like the smashing of a potter’s jar, So ruthlessly shattered That a sherd will not be found among its pieces To take fire from a hearth Or to scoop water from a cistern.”

Y se quebrará como se quiebra un vaso de alfarero, que sin misericordia lo hacen pedazos; tanto, que entre los pedazos no se halla tiesto para traer fuego del hogar, o para sacar agua del pozo.

15 F or thus the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel, has said, “In repentance and rest you will be saved, In quietness and trust is your strength.” But you were not willing,

Porque así dijo Jehová el Señor, el Santo de Israel: En descanso y en reposo seréis salvos; en quietud y en confianza será vuestra fortaleza. Y no quisisteis,

16 A nd you said, “No, for we will flee on horses,” Therefore you shall flee! “And we will ride on swift horses,” Therefore those who pursue you shall be swift.

sino que dijisteis: No, antes huiremos en caballos; por tanto, vosotros huiréis. Sobre corceles veloces cabalgaremos; por tanto, serán veloces vuestros perseguidores.

17 O ne thousand will flee at the threat of one man; You will flee at the threat of five, Until you are left as a flag on a mountain top And as a signal on a hill. God Is Gracious and Just

Entonces profanarás la cubierta de tus esculturas de plata, y la vestidura de tus imágenes fundidas de oro; las apartarás como trapo asqueroso;!! Sal fuera! les dirás.

23 T hen He will give you rain for the seed which you will sow in the ground, and bread from the yield of the ground, and it will be rich and plenteous; on that day your livestock will graze in a roomy pasture.

Entonces dará el Señor lluvia a tu sementera, cuando siembres la tierra, y dará pan del fruto de la tierra, y será abundante y ping: ue; tus ganados en aquel tiempo serán apacentados en espaciosas dehesas.

24 A lso the oxen and the donkeys which work the ground will eat salted fodder, which has been winnowed with shovel and fork.

Tus bueyes y tus asnos que labran la tierra comerán grano limpio, aventado con pala y criba.

25 O n every lofty mountain and on every high hill there will be streams running with water on the day of the great slaughter, when the towers fall.

Y sobre todo monte alto, y sobre todo collado elevado, habrá ríos y corrientes de aguas el día de la gran matanza, cuando caerán las torres.

He aquí que el nombre de Jehová viene de lejos; su rostro encendido, y con llamas de fuego devorador; sus labios llenos de ira, y su lengua como fuego que consume.

28 H is breath is like an overflowing torrent, Which reaches to the neck, To shake the nations back and forth in a sieve, And to put in the jaws of the peoples the bridle which leads to ruin.

Su aliento, cual torrente que inunda; llegará hasta el cuello, para zarandear a las naciones con criba de destrucción; y el freno estará en las quijadas de los pueblos, haciéndoles errar.

29 Y ou will have songs as in the night when you keep the festival, And gladness of heart as when one marches to the sound of the flute, To go to the mountain of the Lord, to the Rock of Israel.

Vosotros tendréis cántico como de noche en que se celebra pascua, y alegría de corazón, como el que va con flauta para venir al monte de Jehová, al Fuerte de Israel.

30 A nd the Lord will cause His voice of authority to be heard, And the descending of His arm to be seen in fierce anger, And in the flame of a consuming fire In cloudburst, downpour and hailstones.

Y Jehová hará oír su potente voz, y hará ver el descenso de su brazo, con furor de rostro y llama de fuego consumidor, con torbellino, tempestad y piedra de granizo.

31 F or at the voice of the Lord Assyria will be terrified, When He strikes with the rod.

Porque Asiria que hirió con vara, con la voz de Jehová será quebrantada.

32 A nd every blow of the rod of punishment, Which the Lord will lay on him, Will be with the music of tambourines and lyres; And in battles, brandishing weapons, He will fight them.

Y cada golpe de la vara justiciera que asiente Jehová sobre él, será con panderos y con arpas; y en batalla tumultuosa peleará contra ellos.

33 F or Topheth has long been ready, Indeed, it has been prepared for the king. He has made it deep and large, A pyre of fire with plenty of wood; The breath of the Lord, like a torrent of brimstone, sets it afire.

Porque Tofet ya de tiempo está dispuesto y preparado para el rey, profundo y ancho, cuya pira es de fuego, y mucha leña; el soplo de Jehová, como torrente de azufre, lo enciende.
