1 T he wilderness and the desert will be glad, And the Arabah will rejoice and blossom; Like the crocus

Se alegrarán el desierto y la soledad; el yermo se gozará y florecerá como la rosa.

2 I t will blossom profusely And rejoice with rejoicing and shout of joy. The glory of Lebanon will be given to it, The majesty of Carmel and Sharon. They will see the glory of the Lord, The majesty of our God.

Florecerá profusamente, y también se alegrará y cantará con júbilo; la gloria del Líbano le será dada, la hermosura del Carmelo y de Sarón. Ellos verán la gloria de Jehová, la hermosura del Dios nuestro.

3 E ncourage the exhausted, and strengthen the feeble.

Fortaleced las manos cansadas, afirmad las rodillas endebles.

4 S ay to those with anxious heart, “Take courage, fear not. Behold, your God will come with vengeance; The recompense of God will come, But He will save you.”

Decid a los de corazón apocado: Esforzaos, no temáis; he aquí que vuestro Dios viene con retribución, con pago; Dios mismo vendrá, y os salvará.

5 T hen the eyes of the blind will be opened And the ears of the deaf will be unstopped.

Entonces los ojos de los ciegos serán abiertos, y los oídos de los sordos se abrirán.

6 T hen the lame will leap like a deer, And the tongue of the mute will shout for joy. For waters will break forth in the wilderness And streams in the Arabah.

Entonces el cojo saltará como un ciervo, y cantará la lengua del mudo; porque aguas serán cavadas en el desierto, y torrentes en la soledad.

7 T he scorched land will become a pool And the thirsty ground springs of water; In the haunt of jackals, its resting place, Grass becomes reeds and rushes.

El lugar seco se convertirá en estanque, y el sequedal en manaderos de aguas; en la morada de chacales, en su guarida, será lugar de cañas y juncos.

8 A highway will be there, a roadway, And it will be called the Highway of Holiness. The unclean will not travel on it, But it will be for him who walks that way, And fools will not wander on it.

Y habrá allí calzada y camino, y será llamado Camino de Santidad; no pasará inmundo por él, sino que él mismo estará con ellos; el que anduviere en este camino, por torpe que sea, no se extraviará.

9 N o lion will be there, Nor will any vicious beast go up on it; These will not be found there. But the redeemed will walk there,

No habrá allí león, ni fiera subirá por él, ni allí se hallará, para que caminen los redimidos.

10 A nd the ransomed of the Lord will return And come with joyful shouting to Zion, With everlasting joy upon their heads. They will find gladness and joy, And sorrow and sighing will flee away.

Y los redimidos de Jehová volverán, y vendrán a Sion con alegría; y gozo perpetuo será sobre sus cabezas; y tendrán gozo y alegría, y huirán la tristeza y el gemido.
