1 J ehovah our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy majesty above the heavens.

Oh Jehová, Señor nuestro, Cuán glorioso es tu nombre en toda la tierra! Has puesto tu gloria sobre los cielos;

2 O ut of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou established praise because of thine adversaries, to still the enemy and the avenger.

De la boca de los niños y de los que maman, fundaste la fortaleza, A causa de tus enemigos, Para hacer callar al enemigo y al vengativo.

3 W hen I see thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and stars, which thou hast established;

Cuando veo tus cielos, obra de tus dedos, La luna y las estrellas que tú formaste,

4 W hat is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?

Digo: ¿Qué es el hombre, para que tengas de él memoria, Y el hijo del hombre, para que lo visites?

5 T hou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and splendour.

Le has hecho poco menor que los ángeles, Y lo coronaste de gloria y de honra.

6 T hou hast made him to rule over the works of thy hands; thou hast put everything under his feet:

Le hiciste señorear sobre las obras de tus manos; Todo lo pusiste debajo de sus pies:

7 S heep and oxen, all of them, and also the beasts of the field;

Ovejas y bueyes, todo ello, Y asimismo las bestias del campo,

8 T he fowl of the heavens, and the fishes of the sea, passeth through the paths of the seas.

Las aves de los cielos y los peces del mar; Todo cuanto pasa por los senderos del mar.
